Video Games Integrated With Casino Games

There are many similarities between video games and casino games, and it will come as no surprise to know that many people cross over and play on both. However, there is something that is now enhancing that, and that is the casino games that have a theme based around a popular video game. This means that video game players can try their luck on a casino game that has a very recognisable theme to them, and one that could be based around their favourite video game.

One of the biggest video games of all time has to be Tomb Raider, and the franchise has grown to also produce films and casino games. The Tomb Raider casino game is based around the well-known character Lara Croft, and those who like the video game are going to love this slot. The theme will make it easy for video game players to pick things up, even those that have never played on a casino game before. You will have the advantage of knowing the different symbols that are used on the game, so you will know what to look out for when playing.

A little more recently, there has probably been nothing as big as the Call Of Duty franchise in terms of video gaming, and this is another to create a variety of further things for game lovers to play, collect and use. One of the things you can play is the Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare slot game, which is based around the popular game with the same title.

This mass-multiplayer gameis loved by online gamers, and some of these gamers will also play on slot games. Those who do both are probably going to rate this slot game as their favourite game, and it is easy to see why.

The slot game has a very similar feel to the video game, with similar dark colours and the battle environment that we have all come to know and love. When playing this game, you will feel like you are playing on Call Of Duty, and that is very difficult for a slot game to achieve so the game developers deserve a lot of credit here.

Again, just like the Tomb Raider slot, those who haven’t played any slot games before but want to try them out should look for games like this, based around a theme that they already understand. This will help you when it comes to knowing what to look out for, and also what to expect from the special features on the game.

There are many similarities between video gaming and casino gaming and don’t be surprised to see them come even closer together in the future. While ever developers are looking towards the gaming market for help and ideas with themes, we are going to see more and more casino games created with a video game theme and these are going to allow video gamers easy access to the casino market if they wish to jump in.

RANKED LEAGUES

Check out the full details on our goals, how Ranked Mode works, and more here.

One thing we forgot to mention in the blog post: Players abandoning in Ranked will be penalized both with a matchmaking penalty, as well as have any potential RP gains zeroed out. On top of that, they will pay an additional penalty RP cost equal to their match entry cost. For example: if a Gold player gets 4 kills and would have finished top 5 but abandons his or her match on purpose, that player will get 0 RP for kills and placement, pay the 2 RP entry cost, and on top of that pay another 2 RP abandon penalty cost.

Lifeline

  • D.O.C. heal drone now gets destroyed after 2 damage ticks by the circle.

STATS PAGE

  • Added a stats page. You can access it by hovering over your name while in the Lobby and clicking it to inspect. The page will show you your overall account stats as well as access to your stats for each season and Ranked Series.
  • We’re sure you all will have feedback on other stats you’d like to see here. What we’re shipping with Season 2 is just the start and we’re planning to build on it. We won’t promise anything but definitely let us know what other stats you want shown after you’ve played around with it.
  • KNOWN ISSUES: There will be some stats [like assists for example] that will start counting for Season 2 but won’t account for progress before that. This is because until we added the feature, this stuff wasn’t being counted. We’re looking at future improvements to retroactively update these areas that we hope to address down the road.

THE RING

  • With Season 2, we’ll trying out new circle closing speed, size, and damage that now applies to both Ranked Leagues and the normal Apex Queue.

  • Ring Damage is now the following:
    • Round 1: 2% damage taken per tick.
    • Round 2: 5% damage taken per tick.
    • Round 3: 10% damage taken per tick.
    • Round 4: 20% damage taken per tick.

QUALITY OF LIFE

  • Pings
    • When pinging a closed door, the player will now say “closed door here”.
    • When pinging an open door, the player will now say “someone’s been here”.
    • When a player requests a hop up, if the gun only accepts one kind of hop up, the player will callout that specific hop up they are looking for. If the gun accepts multiple hop ups, the player won’t vocalize it but all possible hop ups requested will show up in the obit feed.
  • Arc stars that are stuck to players should no longer fail to do damage when the part of the player it is stuck to is intersecting another object.

  • Fixed bug for cases where performing a melee attack while inspecting an item would cause the attack to slow down and not deal damage.
  • [X1 only] Fixed bug where players were not being rewarded “The Player” achievement after hitting level 50. If you have reached level 50 and not received it in the past it should now be awarded retroactively.
  • Fixed the bug that sometimes caused Apex to crash when plugging a PS4 controller into your PC while the game is active.
  • Fixed bug that caused an “Out of Bounds” warning and timer while riding the Supply Ship over certain areas of Kings Canyon.

PS Plus Free Games July 2019 Update: 3 Games Free for the Month Instead of 2!

Last week, Sony announced the PlayStation Plus free games for July 2019, and truthfully, it was a little underwhelming if you’re not a soccer fan. Well, today, Sony has made amends! Sony announced that Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 won’t be part of the PS Plus free games July 2019 list, but rather, it’ll be Detroit: Become Human!

What makes this even better is that the Detroit: Become Human being given away is the Digital Deluxe Edition, which means that Heavy Rain is included as well! Yes, we’re now getting three free PS Plus games for July!

Update: We are making a swap to the PS Plus games lineup for July. This month, we are adding Detroit: Become Human Digital Deluxe Edition, which also includes Heavy Rain, to the July games lineup instead of Pro Evolution Soccer 2019. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Here’s more information about Detroit: Become Human, which will be available to PS Plus members along with Horizon Chase Turbo from July 2 to August 5.

Official synopsis from Sony:

Detroit: Become Human Digital Deluxe Edition

In Detroit: Become Human, discover what it really means to be human in a powerful, emotional journey made of choice and consequences. Set in Detroit City during the year 2038, the city has been revitalized by the invention and introduction of Androids into everyday life. But when Androids start behaving as if they are alive, events begin to spin out of control. Step into the roles of the story’s pivotal three playable characters, each with unique perspectives as they face their new way of life.

Once the free games are available for download later this week, we’ll be sure to let our readers know.

No surprise that it is impossible to find a person who is indifferent to online slots. If you are one of those losing their head about the great slot machines, this post is for you. Today, a large assortment of slots of a wide variety of subjects, including Eye of Horus, can be found at Slotozilla.com. At the same time, there are several reasons why it is worth trying your hand at them.

Destiny Thorn Replica Created by Fan Looks Fantastic, Watch the Making Of Videos Now

A dedicated Destiny fan has taken it upon themselves to replicate one of Destiny’s 1 and 2 most known exotic weapon, Thorn. Yes, it’s a Destiny Thorn replica, and it looks really, really good.

Now fans going above and beyond by recreating their favorite in-game weapons is nothing new, especially with Destiny. In fact, there have been countless real life Thorn creations over the years to say the least. Although we gotta admit this latest one is still a pretty awesome creation, and the creator themselves has certainly put in a lot of time and effort into making this

Simply going by the name as Destiny Fan, or Destiny44444444, this user has done one heck of a job over the past months at getting Destiny’s exotic hand-cannon, Thorn recreated in real-life. In the video below we get to see some of the finalized progress done from the 3D modeling that DF had done in preparation for the real thing. Do mind that there are even more videos on their channel that gives a deeper in-depth look at some of the work done on the modeling that we suggest you check out.

This video was published a little over two months ago with the real thing finally being done this month. Obviously a ton of work went into recreating this beauty of a weapon and we have to say it turned out great as shown in the video below. Now it may not be an actual gun that fires, but for a display piece it certainly is well crafted and painted. It even has the glowing green lights and the revolving chamber. According to DF the gun is actually pretty heavy, with material from brass and steel used. Additionally there’s also a magnet built in the barrel mechanism to allow it to be swung closed.

This wouldn’t be the first Destiny weapon that DF recreated as they also did one of the Rat King earlier this year, which you can also see below.

Have you seen other in-game weapons recreated in real life? If so, share ’em in the comments below.

As part of the announcement, DICE mentioned that a Battlefield 5 upcoming patch and hotfix will be rolled out to fix a few things which are listed below. No times have been mentioned though, so it could be anytime this week.

With Update 4.0 on June 25th, we encountered some significant issues that are impacting gameplay.

We’re working with the Dev team to deploy a hotfix (Update 4.0.1) that will be both a server side deployment and a client update.

The following items are the focus of the upcoming hotfix:

  • Client
    • Xbox One Crash Fixes
    • General Stability Fixes
    • Missing Axis Male Facepaint Fix
  • Server
    • Client to Server Hit Registry Fix

DICE has also released a new Battlefield 5 survey, and this one focuses on the maps. Click on the link below, and it shouldn’t take more than five minutes to complete.

Battlefield 5 Survey for July

In other Battlefield 5 news, DICE has explained why Al Sundan won’t be available in Conquest mode until mid July. There’s also the Chapter 4 Booster Packs that players can buy now, but it’s $30 a pop.

Skills

Developer Comments: We took a hard look at the current meta. The builds that are fun, effective and popular. We knew that skill builds, while it being something people want to play with, was nowhere near competitive. We knew there was an explosives damage build that was on the fringe of popularity, but none that actually relied on really good skill mods driven by skill power.

We analyzed the best damage builds and survivability builds out there and looked at their efficiency – how fast they kill, how fast they can clear content, how fast they can take down enemies – and mapped that to our skills. How much more power do skills need to get from 3K skill power (our current maximum requirement on skill power mods) to compensate for all the damage bonuses the player is “giving up” on gear to reach that skill power?

Then we looked at each skill and what it should be good at (burst, sustain, single target damage, survivability etc) and went to work tuning the mods to make a skill build approach the efficiency of a “red” damage build or a “blue” tank build.

To that effect, here are the current changes to skill mods power levels, and in some cases base numbers, on skills.

Skill Haste

Cooldown Reduction has been replaced with skill haste. Skill Haste works equivalent to speed. So, 100% Skill Haste reduces cooldown by 50%, like a car speeding up by 100% getting to its destination in half the time. This means that the player can invest in more than 100% Haste and still get something back. It also means there’s a diminishing return to Skill Haste, as opposed to cooldown reduction where each point was actually worth more than the last one. This allows us to have a good amount of Skill Haste possible from gear, but even larger amounts granted by high skill power Skill Mods, granting skill builds more frequent access to their souped up skills.

To that effect, these are the changes to Skill Haste (formerly Cooldown Reduction):

  • Hard caps removed.
  • All current +Cooldown Reduction on existing gear becomes +Skill Haste, with an increase of 33% to their rolls
  • Surge Talent – Increased Skill Haste from 10% to 20%

Specialization skill mods (granted from each spec tree)

  • These now require 0 skill power to run.
  • Their bonuses are locked to a pretty high roll, making them the best power-to-performance mods in the game.
  • There are still higher value mods of these types that can be found in the loot pool, however those do have Skillpower requirements.

Hive

  • Extra Payload – Damage increased from +30% to +100%

Battlefield 5 Al Sundan Conquest Release Date Now Scheduled for Mid July

While Al Sundan has been live in Battlefield 5 since last week for Team Deathmatch and Squad Conquest (smaller-based modes), the game still can’t be played in fan favorite modes like Conquest. Today, DICE announced that the Battlefield 5 Al Sundan Conquest release date has been pushed back to mid July due to a “visual artifacting problem.”

Unfortunately, that’s all we know so far. “Mid July” is a very wide scope in terms of days, so we might get it on July 15, or maybe as late as July 20+.

In other Battlefield 5 news, EA has now made Chapter 4 Booster Packs purchasable in the game and it’s expensive. If you’re looking for something more positive, check out this list of upcoming weapons making its way into the game very soon.

Apex Legends Ranked Mode Info Detailed by Respawn,

With Respawn Entertainment set to deploy the Apex Legends ranked mode in Season 2 starting this week, some might be wondering just how it will work in terms of scoring, matchmaking, and more. Thankfully, we don’t have to grope in the dark to find out!

Today, Respawn has posted a lengthy explanation of the Apex Legends Ranked League and how it works.

Goals for Ranked Leagues

With Ranked Leagues, we want to bring something new to Apex Legends that makes the game even more fun for our players. Let’s talk a little about our goals for the Ranked League feature overall.

  • Reward competitive players for the time they invest in Apex Legends. We do this through a ranked ladder that shows how you stack up against the rest of the playerbase. Additionally, you will receive in-game rewards at the end of the season based on the rank you achieve.

  • Ensure competitive integrity through skill-based matchmaking. No one can really say they’re the best if all they do is stomp n00bs in Skulltown, so matchmaking in Ranked Leagues is focused on putting players of similar skill in the same match. You won’t always be playing against players of your exact tier (Silver players may compete with Gold players, for instance) but it will be as close as possible for your region and time of day.

  • Create a space at the top of the ladder for the best players to establish a high-skill meta without forcing a playstyle. We do this by rewarding match placement and kills, with some specific limits. After all, support or strategic players shouldn’t be rewarded less because they’re not getting 15 kills a game. We’re approaching scoring with an even hand that ensures the focus is on winning above all else.

  • Create a true measure of skill in Apex Legends. We’re starting out with a score-based ranked system (detailed in the Scoring section below), but we don’t intend for this to last forever. We’ll be watching Ranked players closely to see what determines success on the ladder, what types of players climb the quickest, and how the high-skill metagame plays out. Our goal is to take data from the launch of Ranked Leagues and adjust the system over time. So, players should expect seasonal soft-resets where your ranks get pushed back down for a new season, as well as changes to the scoring system, matchmaking system, and ultimately the ranked format entirely over the course of future seasons.

How It Works

We’ve been running simulations on the scoring system using actual player data from Season 1 to calibrate our approach to Ranked Leagues. Based on that data, here’s how our first Ranked Series will work:

SERIES AND RESETS

Ranked Leagues run in competitive periods that we’re calling “Series”. The first is scheduled to run for the duration of Season 2 (July through September). Future Ranked Series may not be in sync with the larger Apex Seasons as we may need more time for players to settle on their true skill level. We’ll talk about the Series cadence as we near the end of Season 2.

RANKS

Ranked Leagues features six competitive tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Apex Predator. All of the tiers except Apex Predator have four divisions; Gold IV, Gold III, Gold II, and Gold I, for example, with Gold I being the top division in Gold tier. All players will start in Bronze IV for the launch of Ranked Leagues, but future Series should have a starting placement if you’ve climbed the ladder in previous Series.

SCORING

Players climb the ladder using a set scoring system, and we’ve tried to keep the system transparent so you can focus on what it takes to rank up. Scores are tracked via Ranked Points (RP) and your score moves up and down throughout the season.

Each Ranked match will cost RP to play based on your tier:

Bronze matches are free

Silver matches cost 1RP

Gold matches cost 2RP

Platinum matches cost 3RP

Diamond matches cost 4RP

Apex Predator matches cost 5RP

During the match you earn RP based on performance. Kills are worth 1RP up to a maximum of 5RP per match. Placing Top 10 is worth 2RP, Top 5 is 4RP, Top 3 earns 7RP, and a win will bank 12RP. Each placement score is exclusive, so if you finish in the Top 5, you won’t earn 6RP for a Top 10 and Top 5 finish combined. That means the maximum score you can earn per match is 17RP, before the match entry fee.

PLAYING WITH FRIENDS

Ranked Leagues will require each player to be level 10 or higher to join. When you queue up with other friends in your lobby, the matchmaker will find a match for the highest ranked player in that lobby, but each player will pay the appropriate match cost for their current rank. This is intended to not let high-ranked players completely carry their lower-ranked friends. If you queue up with your Diamond II friend as a Bronze III player, get ready for a difficult match!

LADDER MOVEMENT

For the launch of Ranked Leagues, we’re starting everyone in Bronze, and as you score you climb and fall within a tier. There is currently no demotion if you drop into a lower tier, so if you earn your way into Platinum IV, no amount of losses will demote you back to Gold I – you are guaranteed to finish that Series in Platinum. However, demotion is possible between divisions, so if you’re Gold II and fall below 380 RP, you will move back down to Gold III. (We may revisit demotions in the future based on data we get from our first Series.)

Matches become more difficult the higher you climb, so we expect to see many players find their actual skill level and plateau towards the end of the first Series.

REWARDS

Ultimately, the best reward in a ranked system is the recognition of your skill and the rank you achieve. That being said, we also want to reward people who really put in the time and compete on the ladder. We’ll be giving out Series 1 rank badges to every player based on the tier they reach by the end of the Series. We’re still working on other rewards that will let you show off your accomplishments, and we will share more details on the rest of the rewards later in Season 2.

PENALTIES

We regard Ranked as a high-stakes, high-reward environment. This means that we are expecting players in Ranked to show a higher level of commitment to playing out their matches, even when things aren’t necessarily going their way.

Players who abandon their teammates will be hit with a matchmaking penalty in both regular and Ranked matches. Penalties will result in a player being barred from joining a match for escalating amounts of time based on how often they have abandoned in Ranked. An abandon is defined as leaving the game before the match is over for you; this includes leaving during character select, leaving while you are alive, and leaving when you are dead but can still be respawned by teammates.

Penalty times start out at five minutes, and repeat abandons will increase that time up to a week.

LOSS FORGIVENESS

Similar to the Elite queue, there will be loss forgiveness in Ranked. Loss forgiveness is defined as zeroing out any potential losses in RP for a match. For example, in a Diamond match where you came in last place but had two kills, you would normally have a -2 adjustment to your RP (-4 from the Platinum entry cost, +2 for kills, for a net loss of -2). With loss forgiveness, however, you would have a net loss adjusted to 0. However, this will only apply if you stand to lose RP from the match – if you had five kills and loss forgiveness, your RP would still be net +1.

We will grant players loss forgiveness when their matchmade teammates abandon the game, and for other cases where we determine you are not to blame for leaving a game e.g. client errors. We plan to be more lenient at the start of the Series but will be vigilant in monitoring player behavior. We will become stricter about granting loss forgiveness if we detect it is being abused.

MATCHMAKING UPDATES

We’ll be watching matchmaking data constantly and making updates on the fly. This should help us answer questions like how long players should wait for a match with only players in their own tier, how large the gap between ranks represented in a match should be, etc. We will be providing updates as and when this happens through our usual communication channels (Reddit / Twitter).

That’s what we have planned for the first Series of Apex Legends Ranked Leagues. As with everything else in Apex, expect us to learn as we go and make changes to the system over time. We’re sure to learn a bunch as you all start climbing the ladder. As always, hit us up on the usual channels to ask questions or give feedback. See you in the arena!

For more on Season 2, check out the trailer right here, and don’t forget to read up on how Daily and Weekly Challenges will work in Season 2.

Apex Legends Season 2 starts tomorrow, July 2.

Battlefield 5 Chapter 4 Booster Packs Now Available for $29.99, Here’s What’s in It

Remember when we posted that datamined info regarding Battlefield 5 Booster Packs? Well, the Battlefield 5 Chapter 4 Booster Packs are now available for purchase in the in-game store!

Priced at a rather hefty $29.99, the Battlefield 5 Chapter 4 Booster Pack includes:

  • Chapter XP booster
  • 6 chapter Reward Tiers skipped
  • 2 Epic soldier outfits (Wild Eagle and Sturmwolf)
  • 2,000 Battlefield Currency (Boins)
  • 4 Epic weapon skins
  • 3 Special Assignments

I don’t want to be negative here, but $30 for a package of cosmetic items is a bit pricey, no? If you base it on past Battlefield DLCs that’s worth more than a full-fledged expansion, which usually contains a few maps, weapons and more.

Of course, if you have a lot of spare change lying around and just want to stand out from the pack, by all means, buy away. Personally, I feel that EA should price this significantly lower as to entice people to buy it on a whim and just for supporting the game.

Will you be buying the Battlefield 5 Chapter 4 Booster Pack? Or you think it’s priced too high as well?

Rumor: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Battle Royale Mode in Development, Here Are the Alleged First Details

Last year, Treyarch introduced Call of Duty to the battle royale genre with Black Ops 4’s Blackout. If you’re a fan of Call of Duty’s take on battle royale, a new rumor has surfaced claiming that this year’s Call of Duty — Call of Duty: Modern Warfare — will also have its own battle royale mode.

YouTuber TheGamingRevolution has posted a new video today claiming that a “source” has confirmed to him that “100%” Modern Warfare battle royale is happening! The mode is said to currently be in development, will feature 152 players in total, will have a map that is 3x the size of Blackout’s map. Check the video out below.

Before anyone celebrates (or riots), remember that this info is NOT confirmed, and truth be told, we’re not familiar with TheGamingRevolution’s reliability, so please take this rumor with a big bag of salt. Over on Twitter, Infinity Ward Art Director Joel Emslie was asked about the Modern Warfare battle royale mode existence, and he replied with a “no comment,” which could go both ways.

https://twitter.com/ArtPeasant/status/1145406924407447552?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1145406924407447552&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fcharlieintel.com%2Finfinity-ward-dev-says-no-comment-to-unconfirmed-rumors-of-battle-royale-mode-being-in-call-of-duty-modern-warfare%2F55022%2F

We’ve reached out to Activision for a comment and will update the post if and when we get a response.

Related Modern Warfare Reading:

For those curious, Black Ops 4 didn’t feature a single-player campaign mode, but did have Blackout as a replacement for it (sort of). Modern Warfare on the other hand, will have a traditional campaign mode, and even the Spec Ops co-op mode has been confirmed to be back. If this Modern Warfare battle royale rumor rings true, players can expect Modern Warfare to have a single-player campaign, traditional multiplayer, Spec Ops mode, and a battle royale mode.

Would you want this year’s Call of Duty to have a battle royale mode or should Infinity Ward’s resources better used for traditional multiplayer? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

G2A Buys Un-Switchable Sponsored Ads to Show Up First Ahead of Official Game Listings, Devs Ask Buyers to Pirate Instead

Do you buy games on G2A? If so, you might want to consider not doing that. While where you get your games is another story altogether, it seems the ethically questionable online retailer has made some rather interesting marketing moves, as it has now bought sponsored ads (which can’t be turned off for some reason) on Google. If someone searches for a specific game that the retailer sells, you will see their games for sale first ahead of the official game listings!

Note that developers DO NOT make any money (as in ZERO) on games people buy through the non-official sponsored ads. This G2A ad brouhaha has been brought to the forefront by indie publisher Mike Rose, who heads the No More Robots game studio. Mike took to twitter early this morning to express his thoughts on G2A along with a demonstration on how the ad cannot be switched off (besides ad blockers).

https://twitter.com/RaveofRavendale/status/1145272774761603072

As one can expect, multiple indie devs have chimed in against this practice and what’s more, they are even asking gamers to just pirate their games if they’re buying from G2A, crazy right? The rationale behind this is that regardless if you pirate their game or buy it from G2A, both means zero profits for the devs, but the former choice at least doesn’t add more coin into G2A’s pockets.

If you’re curious how G2A and their whole scumminess works check out the screenshot below, which explains it nicely (thanks, DannyOnPC):

When actual devs are telling you to pirate their games instead of buying it from a dubious re-seller, you know something’s not right. Let’s hope this gets sorted out soon since devs should be earning money for all their hard work, and not just a re-seller.

PUBG Ping System Added in Update #30, Here’s the Full Patch Notes

If you’ve played Apex Legends, chances are you’ve used Respawn Entertainment’s super useful ping system to call out enemies, items, and more. Well, it seems this feature has been added into PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) in PUBG update #30!

This PUBG ping system, which it calls “Radio Message,” is just the tip of the iceberg as a new weapon, and armored vehicle are added as well, and of course, gameplay tweaks and fixes. Read on for the full patch notes below.

New Vehicle: BRDM-2

“Players feeling froggy for a fight will now have the chance to call down an armor plated amphibious assault BRDM-2 by using the Flare Gun!”

  • BRDM-2 can only be called in as a special Care Package using the Flare Gun on all maps and it replaces the armored UAZ.
  • Over waterways or terrain, this amphibious vehicle increases your options to navigate firefights and the Battlegrounds themselves.
  • Characteristics
    • BRDM-2’s total HP is 2500 and its health is twice as much as UAZ, while its gigantic, sturdy wheels cannot be damaged.
    • Powerful bulletproof vehicle that can reduce incoming damage such as ammunition based assaults as well as grenades and red zone damage.
    • BRDM-2 is an amphibious vehicle that can continue to ground travel on water, but players can’t shoot while on board.
    • It has a capacity of up to four players on board, and Its top water speed is 22km/h and top speed on the road is 102km/h when boosted.

New Weapon: Deagle

“Bang Bang Pow? That’s the sound of two shots from a Deagle breaking a level 3 helmet.”

  • The Deagle is a handgun that deals the strongest pistol damage with great muzzle velocity and will be spawned on all maps.
  • Deagle can deal 62 damage per shot and take both red-dot and holographic sights, various magazines and a laser sight that improves hip fire accuracy.
  • With greater than average pistol damage and muzzle velocity comes harder to control recoil.
  • Deagle has a single firemode type that uses .45 ACP ammo and the standard magazine fits 7 rounds. (It can be extended to 10 with an extended magazine)

Gameplay

Ledge Grab

“Find new ways to fight, jump, grab, get up, and go with our new Ledge Grab feature!”

Features

  • Ledge grab allows you to take new paths by climbing up the edge of roofs, fences, and obstacles up to 2.5 meters high, and jump from building to building or container to container.
  • Now that players can move to places they weren’t able to reach before, we look forward to seeing gameplay with new strategies climbing to places your opponent won’t be able to anticipate.

How to use

  • You can activate ledge grab by either jumping or vaulting (space bar) and then continue to press the space bar or by pressing the space bar at the right timing in midair, heading towards the target location.
  • You can cancel the ledge grab while it is activated and fall to the ground by following the same method of cancelling the vaulting/climbing.

A message from the Dev. team on ledge grab

This is the first iteration of ledge grab, you cannot yet hang on the railings or slide down railings. However, ledge grab will be updated twice in total including this update, the dev team will keep working to enable those features just mentioned from the other update in the future.

We anticipate a similar adoption period for ledge grab as we had with the initial introduction of vaulting. We will work to isolate any improvements or modifications that need to be made during the early stages of the feature’s launch.

Please try out the new ledge grab and kindly give us your feedback so that we can further improve and polish the feature, which is the utmost priority to the Dev. team.

We will continue to make our best efforts to quickly ensure the feature is as stable and useful as possible. We very much appreciate your interest and feedback.

Improved Gas Can

“We like the cans. The cans that go boom!”

Features

  • Added strategic elements to the Gas Can, an item that used to be seen to have few advantages to loot.
  • As soon as Gas Can explodes, it will deal damage to all players in a radius around it’s location.
  • When the Gas Can is blown up, it deals damage in a radius around it, dealing more damage to those close by
  • Keep in mind that you can hurt both yourself and your teammates if you stand to close to the explosion, so be careful!

How to use

  • Drop a Gas Can on the ground and damage it with bullets or throwables, which will cause it to explode and deal damage to those close by.
  • Each Gas Can will now display individually in the inventory when players have more than one Gas Can to reduce confusion, as dropping multiple Gas Cans will not multiply the damage.
    • Example:

Radio Message

“You can’t talk over a chicken dinner if you don’t communicate in a match. Radio Messages will keep you coordinated with every teammate, no matter the region or mic situation. “

Playing with players from different regions in random Duo or Squad matches or players with no access to voice chat have made it difficult to establish team-based strategy through close communication between team members. To help solve this problem, we are introducing text-based Radio Messages that will help you communicate with your team more quickly and easily for successful strategic gameplay.

  • Hold the mouse wheel or F3 to open the Radio Message Wheel UI.
    • There are 8 types of messages provided–selected messages will be displayed on the left screen and immediately shown to your teammates.
    • Ping and Enemy Spotted, in particular, can be used in various circumstances. You can use them more quickly with separate key bindings.
      • Ping: Click the mouse wheel or press F3
      • Enemy Spotted: Double click the mouse wheel or double press F3
    • Pings has various interactions.
      • Select Ping near a certain item, and you can share the name and location of the pinged item with your teammates.
      • You can also use Ping on Care Packages or death crates to share their location.
      • Ping the direction you want to move toward to share the direction with your teammates.
      • All these features above automatically place a marker on the map and will be useful to utilize together with the Tactical Map Marker.
    • Enemy Spotted allows you to quickly share the location of an enemy you’ve spotted.
      • Use Enemy Spotted at the enemy’s location to mark it on the map and share it with your teammates.
      • Messages vary by distance:
        • Near Range: less than 50M
        • Medium Range: less than 200M
        • Long Range: 200M or more
        • Example: ENEMY SPOTTED! Long Range 300′
      • Ping and Enemy Spotted send messages to teammates within 500M.
    • Need Ammo works dynamically, with the message reflecting the ammo type of the weapon you are holding.
      • Example: If you select Need Ammo while holding an M416, the message sent to your teammates will be “I NEED 5.56mm.”
  • You can mute Radio Messages from teammates individually in the Team Management menu.
  • Kill distance has been added to center-screen kill messages.
  • The distance between you and the enemy you killed will be displayed alongside the standard kill message in the middle of the screen.
    • Kill distance will only be shown you kill enemies from over 100 m away.
      • This will appear only when you kill the enemy by yourself.
    • DBNO kill messages remain the same and won’t show kill distance.

    • The in-game mission list UI has been improved to more clearly distinguish completed missions from and in-progress/uncompleted missions.

Performance

  • Buildings at short distance now load 30 to 40% faster through optimization of level streaming (rendering).
    • Material data structure has been optimized.
    • Streaming (rendering) priority has been optimized through estimating of players’ movement route and allocating resource priority accordingly.

Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled Review – Crash and Don’t Burn

I’ll admit right away that I never truly gave Crash Team Racing a shot back when it originally launched on the PlayStation console. I was too involved with Mario Kart to care, and I honestly thought it was just a cash grab to try and cater to that fan base. I was much younger then, and if I could go back in time and slap myself for thinking that way, I would.  It would take several years later that I gave the game a chance and while I never got to play much of it, I thought it was a very awesome racing game. Suffice to say, when a remake of Crash Team Racing was announced, this time I took notice. So without further delay, the game has released and we are off to the races to see just how exciting this one turned out.

Crash Bash

Crash Team Racing is a remake of the original game, with levels also from the semi-sequel Crash Nitro Cart that released years later. Upon starting the game players are offered a few choices to choose from. Adventure mode, which features a hub world, and storyline involving an alien invader challenging all the Crash characters into a tournament that will decide the world’s fate. It’s silly, but it’s great to see these sort of storylines and set up in kart racers. Diddy Kong Racing did this as well and I’ve always felt it’s extremely charming. More kart racing games should imitate this whimsical adventure feel.

Other modes include arcade, allowing to choose single-race tracks, circuits, and additional challenge modes to select from.  Everything that can be played in the storyline is selectable here but in a more digestible way. Last but not least is the online mode. Take to the internet and destroy friends or strangers online in seeing who can lead the crash pack to victory. Getting left in the dust never felt better.

 Vroom to the Finish

The first thing I noticed upon booting up CTR and jumping onto the race was the sense of speed. Driving the karts around provides such a thrill, as characters go speeding through the levels and the colorful backgrounds go whizzing by. That goes along with the outstanding visuals they created and used to recreate these classic tracks and characters. With so much variety, colors, and settings, the tracks are something to take notice of. If we all thought CTR looked fantastic back when it originally launched, this game truly brings the visuals to life and then some. That feeling of thinking back fondly on an older game, remembering it for its vivid visuals, and then only to see how dated they look often can lead to disappointment. CTR doesn’t fall into the same pitfalls (thankfully), and it truly shines in this remake re-inventing those graphics, truly bringing them into an almost CGI animation look that we all probably thought the original looked at during its release.

Of course the most important aspect of any racing game, regardless if it’s an arcade or sim-like experience, would be the controls. Controls can make or break a racing experience and I’m happy to say CTR controls like butter. Accelerating, breaking, turbo boosting all feels easy to use and perhaps a little tough to master. Particularly as the boost mechanics are a little different than what I’m used to. Using either a meter or the visuals indicator of black smoke off the kart, as sliding players need to tap on the other power slide button to stack the boost. Practice makes perfect though as this is essential on mastering and winning tracks. It took me a bit to get adjusted but soon I was power sliding and boosting like a pro, granted that still didn’t make for an easy victory. Learning the tracks and the shortcuts go a long way to getting the upper hand.

Now let’s talk about one of the biggest issues and criticisms that most will likely run into depending on their skill level.  The difficulty in CTR racing is a bit tough, I’m not going to lie. I began my adventure on medium settings and before I knew it, I was losing races left and right. I believe this challenge is present for a few reasons. The racers seem at times to suffer from that particular AI rubber banding feel and also sudden weapon firing that seems to persist in a lot of racing games. What that means is players could be having the best race of their life on a track and suddenly before the finish line, a barrage of bad luck plays out. Now in some cases this wouldn’t be the worst thing to deal with, but in CTR it makes things more difficult as players have to finish in first in order to win the race and open new tracks in the adventure mode.  I can’t being to describe how frustrating it feels to be having an excellent run only to have it failed at the last minute. This sort of sums of my experience with the game overall. That’s not to say it ruins the game, and an easy mode is available, but it’s made for both frustration and oddly enough satisfaction. See when players do find themselves playing a track over and over and finally nailing first place, it’s one of the best feelings in the world.

Remake Me Proud

We have seen a lot of remakes come out over the last few years and most of them have not only stayed true to their original work but only made it better. Crash Team Racing can gladly sits upon that roster of games that have been a joy to play and a remaster worth having. There is a lot of content here to get through, along with the arcade and online modes to offer even more play time.  While difficulty can be somewhat of a damper at times, it doesn’t put a huge blemish on an otherwise excellent kart racer. Instead it’s just a little ding on an otherwise very polished racing title. CTR proves that the series fundamental design always had a special place in the kart racer world and even today, it still shines.

Overall score: 8.5

Pros:

  • Updated Visuals
  • Great Soundtrack
  • Smooth Controls
  • Lots of content

Cons:

  • Difficulty can feel unbalanced

Halo MCC Insider Flight Client Illegally Distributed Online, 343 Warns of Bans for Current Future Programs

For those looking forward to the Halo Master Chief Collection (Halo MCC) on PC, some of you might be fortunate enough that you’re part of group of people picked to be part o the Halo MCC Insider Flight program currently going on right now. Well, it seems even those who didn’t get access are playing it, through illegal means.

This was confirmed by 343 Industries in a forum post stating that the studio knows about the Halo MCC Insider Flight has been illegally distributed online, and issued a warning that people partaking in this illegally will have their accounts banned from all current and future 343 programs.

Given how you need to sign in to Xbox Live in order to run the client, this isn’t surprising at all that 343 Industries has caught on. Also of note, the Halo MCC Insider Flight client that’s out now is just one level from Halo: Reach’s single-player campaign, which honestly makes this not worth having your account banned over for, no?

Are you one of the people playing the or in the Halo MCC Insider Flight program now? Do you think people should stop sharing it illegally or should Microsoft have known this would happen?

Apex Legends Season 2 Challenges: Here’s How Daily and Weekly Challenges Will Work Now

If you didn’t like how challenges were implmented in the first season of Apex Legends, you’ll be very glad to know that Respawn just overhauled the entire thing, and this time, you won’t even need to watch YouTube videos to complete some of them! In a new post on EA’s official site, Respawn outlined how the Apex Legends Season 2 Challenges will work.

For the Apex Legends Season 2 Challenges, Respawn is dishing out daily and weekly challenges that should help you level up your Battle Pass. For reference: more than half of a player’s Weekly Challenges will grant an entire Battle Pass level as a reward, while the remaining Daily and Weekly Challenges will grant “Stars,” which will be combined with match XP, and will contribute to a repeatable Weekly Challenge. Note that Stars are not XP-specific to Battle Pass, which means that Stars do not impact account level progression.

Here’s how the Daily and Weekly Challenges will be set up in Season 2:

Daily Challenges

Each day, you will receive three new Daily Challenges chosen randomly from a pool of over two hundred. These challenges range from “Deal 200 Damage in Bunker” to “Play 1 game as Lifeline” and are intended to be achievable in a short play session. Complete your daily challenge and earn 3,000 STARS each.

Your challenge pool will reset every day, so be sure to check back regularly to maximize Battle Pass progress.

Weekly Challenges

Each week, you will receive a set of seven new Weekly Challenges. These challenges are intended to take several play sessions to complete and range from “Get 20 Kills as Gibraltar, Bangalore, or Mirage” to “Loot 100 Epic items.” Four of the Weekly Challenges are worth 6,000 STARS each (24,000 STARS total) and three of the Weekly Challenges grant an entire Battle Pass level each upon completion.

Starting the season late? No problem – you’ll get access to all previous Weekly Challenges at one. So, if you start in Week 3, you’ll get access to Week 1, 2, and 3 challenges immediately (21 in total).

Weekly Resetting Challenges

Each week, you’ll have an additional set of three special resetting Weekly Challenges. These are the same every week and refresh even if you haven’t completed them. Keep a careful eye on these to make maximum Battle Pass progress.

  • Complete five Daily Challenges – Rewards one Battle Pass level

  • Complete 10 Daily Challenges – Rewards one Battle Pass level

  • Earn 9,000 STARS and/or match XP – Rewards one Battle Pass level

    • This quest may be repeated an unlimited number of times each week.

    • Each completion increases the STARS and/or match XP required for the next by 9,000, up to a maximum of 54,000. You need 9,000 for the first level, 18,000 for the second level, etc. This challenge resets to 9,000 each week.

Better, right? Speaking of Season 2, go watch the announce trailer for Apex Legends Season 2 which starts July 2!
