WWE 2K18 Glitches Compilation Showcases Unpolished Product

WWE 2K18 launches tomorrow on PS4, Xbox One, and PC (and later this year on Nintendo Switch). However, those players who pre-ordered to get early access have been playing already.

NeoGAF user “Hasney” is one such early access player. He’s put together a collection of clips where the game glitches out, causing players to do some very weird manoeuvres, and objects to be sent flying.

The backstage equipment box has collision issues

Celebrations have issues

Occasionally in ladder matches, someone will get stuck on top of it either seated or ready to jump and the ladder will engulf them above them

In a 6 player online lobby, if you pick Elimination Chamber and then change the match type to something else, you’ll enter a glitched version of the arena allowing this to happen:

This thing happening

Fishermans Suplex 6, a new move added this year specifically for putting people through the announce table, does not put someone through the announce table

Which can also lead to this follow up

Pressing down on the d-pad+R1/RB on a created character with a singlet causes them to collapse

What madness this is! Here’s hoping a day one patch fixes a lot of these issues.

In other WWE 2K18 news, the game’s highest rated wrestlers have been listed, Colonel Sanders will be a playable character, and the game’s launch trailer should get you pumped for release!

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite Update 1.03 Now Out on PS4, Here Are All the Changes

As reported by us a few days ago, the Marvel vs Capcom Infinite update is out now, and it aims to fix a fair amount of stuff. Clocking in at a hefty 12GB, the full patch notes can be seen below. Note Xbox One and PC players will get the Marvel vs Capcom Infinite patch “at a later date.”

General (These changes will go live on PS4 and PC on October 16 and on Xbox One at a later date)

  • When an opponent has been hit by three special “grab” projectiles in a single combo, they will automatically be affected by a spiral hit stun, causing them to be invincible and sent into the air. Players can also counter tag out of these attacks.
    • Affected moves:
      • Spider-Man – LP/HP Web Ball (including air versions)
      • Frank – LK/HK Hammer Throw
  • Can perform air recovery in eight directions when recovering from certain unique hits in the air.
    • Affected moves:
      • Dante – Bee Hive
      • Chun-Li – Spinning Bird Kick (including air version), Kikosho, Hoyokusen
      • Chris – Sweep Combo
      • Doctor Strange – Bolts of Balthakk
  • Fixed a bug that made it impossible to block during the last frame of crouching block recovery.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a connection error to occur when continuously performing successful grabs in an online match.
  • Increased throw invincibility during air recovery from 3F to 5F.
  • Fixed comboing into another combo using the Mind Surge throw.

Characters (These changes will go live across all platforms in the update on October 16)

Dante

  • Fixed a bug when taking damage during Tempest that caused Dante’s position to change from the location where he took that damage.

Captain America

  • Fixed bug(s) so that properties of moves without the shield match those with the shield. (ex: forward jumping during forward ground dash without the shield did not have dash momentum)
  • Fixed a bug causing backflip (without shield) to be invincible from start up.
  • Fixed a bug that caused his back ground throw to not do damage and had a shorter knockback distance.
  • Fixed a bug where jumping forward during a back ground dash (with shield) had dash momentum.
  • Fixed a bug that caused him to not face the opponent when behind them while activating Charging Star and Hyper Charging Star.

Dormammu

  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to cancel Dark Spell: Creation after LK/HK Dark Hole with Flight.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to cancel Dark Spell: Creation after LK/HK Purification with Flight.

Doctor Strange

  • Fixed bug where when there are 3 Graces of Hoggoth HP traps on screen and Flames of the Faltine is used from a higher position, the fired laser VFX disappears.
  • Fixed bug causing one Grace of Hoggoth to remain on screen after activating Flames of the Faltine in certain situations.

Don’t forget, starting tomorrow, October 17, gamers will also be able to play as Black Panther, Sigma and Monster Hunter too.

If you notice any new additions not in the patch notes, let us know down in the comments.

Call of Duty: WWII Pre-Load Now Up on Xbox One, File Size Revealed

While we posted that the Call of Duty: WWII pre-load on PlayStation 4 is said to be live on November 1, it seems Xbox One gamers have a bit of a head start — at least on pre-loading the game. Reddit user Zm_Mexico_Idgun has posted a screenshot of the Call of Duty: WWII pre-load on Xbox One, and it’s indeed live.

The picture below also mentions the COD: WWII file size (at least for the Xbox One) and it’s at a decent 45GB. While you can pre-load the game, don’t forget that servers won’t go live at least a day until launch, and there’s most likely a day one patch for it too.

Will PS4 and PC users get to download the game client a few days early or within the month? We can’t say for sure, but if it’s ever up, we’ll be sure to let people know.

While you’re waiting for COD: WWII don’t forget to check out the info leaks that’s been happening all this month! There’s the Zombies mode leak (#1, #2), a weapons and maps list leak, the new Prestige system, new gun customization (with images), and the Basic Training (perks) list.

Finally, we also reported yesterday that the Xbox One X version of COD: WWII is also said to be supporting both 4K and HDR.

Street Fighter V Zeku Reveal Trailer Shows His Hard-Hitting Moves

Capcom has released a new Street Fighter V trailer today, and it introduces Zeku to the fighting game franchise. For those not familiar with the character, he first made his appearance years ago in Street Fighter Alpha 2. Obviously, he’s gotten a design overhaul. Check out his moves and more in the video above.

Ful description of Zeku can be read below.

Zeku, 38th Master of Bushin, infiltrates Street Fighter V on October 24! First seen in Street Fighter Alpha 2, Zeku was Guy’s former teacher, who taught him how to master Bushinryu. Eventually, Guy defeated Zeku in order to obtain the title of 39th Master of Bushin. Going against tradition, Guy chose not kill Zeku, who then disappeared and was never seen again…until now!

Learning Zeku will require intense training in order to hone his multiple skill sets due to his ability to transform. His older self has slower moves, but packs a heavier punch while his younger self is reminiscent of Guy from previous games.

Zeku will assault Street Fighter V this October 24. Check out details of the recently announced Arcade edition right here.

Report: Call of Duty: WWII Xbox One X 4K and HDR Support Confirmed

While the Call of Duty franchise has switched bed mates and is now aligned with Sony’s PlayStation brand for everything, that doesn’t mean the other versions won’t take advantage of every technical power each platform has.

Enter the Xbox One X; with the console said to be the most “powerful console” according to Microsoft, it’s understandable to expect every game to look their best for the console. While Microsoft hasn’t announced anything yet, it seems COD: WWII will support both HDR (High Dynamic Range) and 4K for the Xbox One X! This was mentioned in the mock physical case of the game for the UK version.

Bear in mind, this doesn’t seem to be the official physical case given the huge “Pre-Order Now, etc.” bit, which usually doesn’t show up in retail cases. Also of note, this hasn’t been confirmed by Microsoft, so things could change, but chances are, given the Xbox One X’s power, HDR and native 4K support should be expected.

We’ve emailed Activision to see if they have anything to say about it as well, and will update the post if we hear anything back.

For more on Call of Duty: WWII, check out the latest live-action TV spot that looks awesome, I admit; there’s also the latest leak which showcases the “sweetheart grips” gun customization.

Battlefield 1 Turning Tides DLC to Have New Elite Class, No New Behemoth, Grappling Hook “In the Plans”

With DICE talking more about Battlefield 1’s upcoming third expansion, Turning Tides, it its release this December, it seems the studio is slowly opening up on a few key things about the DLC.

Over on Twitter, DICE Producer Andrew Gulotta has been fielding fan questions about Turning Tides. While he can’t blow the doors wide open in terms of info, he was able to divulge a few tasty nuggets.

In case you couldn’t see the tweets, Golotta confirmed that there will be no new Behemoth in Turning Tides, but there will be a new Elite class. Behemoths are the big, game-changing vehicles that pop up for the losing team near the end of every match to make it a little more interesting. Elite classes are pick ups within the match that gives players specific abilities like being a flamethrowing maniac, someone with heavy armor and a Gatling gun and more.

Possibly the most interesting tidbit here is the confirmation of a grappling hook. If you check the image above, it shows the soldier carrying a grappling hook. Now, Golotta has confirmed it is “in the plans” but it’s function might be different than what people are expecting. Any idea what he means by that?

Battlefield 1: Turning Tides will be out sometime this December, and as per the norm, Battlefield 1 Premium members will get two week access before the rest of the population can buy it piecemeal.

NBA 2K18 Adding “Verified Users” to Let You Know If You’re Playing Against an NBA Player

Here’s a nice touch that I won’t be surprised if others follow suit, NBA 2K18 will be adding “verified users” to let gamers know if they’re up against an NBA player in the game. Not only that, but NBA 2K developers will also be getting the “verified” icon under their players feet as well.

Chris Manning, Community Manager for NBA 2K18, revealed this over on Twitter with a screenshot to show how it’ll look in the game too.

It’s not clear for now who these “verified NBA guys” are, but I assume these will be players, coaches and other prominent NBA officials. Will these include popular NBA reporters, parents (LaVar Ball says hi), and others? We don’t know for sure, but it’s definitely an interesting premise.

While you might have played against an NBA player without knowing it before, now you’ll know, and wouldn’t be awesome to tell people you beat an NBA player at basketball? Even if just virtually?

Gran Turismo Sport DLC Will Include “Cars, Cars, Cars” and New Tracks

Gran Turismo Sport producer Kaz Yamauchi has taken to Twitter to respond to a few questions from fans, while also retweeting praise for the game’s impressive demo

Yamauchi’s responses focus on the topic of DLC, and what content players could expect to see post-launch.

He confirmed that “DLC is a plan,” and that the content would included “cars, cars, cars” because “it’s Gran Turismo.”

One user requested new tracks, to which Yamauchi responded, “Of course.”

“Sharp. DLC is a plan. RT @Ballista0709: I wonder if it’s okay but no Gr2 SGT vehicles expected to?”

“Cars, cars, cars…, of course, more and more in the DLC will add. Because it’s Gran Turismo.”

“Of course. RT @satoshi3567: Please add a circuit!”

The above translations are provided by Bing, so be mindful that there may be some inaccuracies.

It’s hardly surprising that additional tracks and cars will be coming to GT Sport after its release, but it’s good to get confirmation.

GT Sport is coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 on October 17.

In other GT Sport news, the game’s complete car list has been revealed. You should also watch this PSVR gameplay, which shows off the Nurburgring Track. Finally, if you’re into collecting PlayStation Trophies, you can check out the full list here.

A huge number of PUBG cheaters have been caught and banned by cheat detection. BattlEye is the game’s anti-cheat software, and it has banned over 322,000 cheaters thus far.

BattlEye revealed this statistic on Twitter, also adding that the software is “currently banning at a rate of 6K-13 per day, nearly 20K within the last 24 hours alone.”

As stated above, the majority of cheaters are based in China.

Back in September, BattlEye explained why there are so many players trying to exploit the game, using any method to win:

Call of Duty: WWII Live Action Trailer Reassembles the Squad (Update)

Update:

There are three “Reassemble!” trailers in total. This post has been updated to include all of them

Original story:

We’re just under three weeks away from the launch of Call of Duty: WWIIAs the excitement increases and the anticipation becomes unbearable for fans, Sledgehammer Games has released one of their final teases. It comes in the form of a live action trailer, entitled “Reassemble!”

Watch as the squad gets back together for some World War II action:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4HGnM9ujVg

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNYwOoi3yEo

Call of Duty® is returning to WWII, which can only mean one thing: it’s time to get your squad back together. Follow a team as they gather their friends for the most epic battle yet. Featuring “Figure It Out” by Royal Blood.

For me, the most interesting thing about this trailer is that the squad is made up of eight people. Perhaps this means that Ground War could return in Call of Duty: WWII!

Call of Duty: WWII is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 3.

In other Call of Duty: WWII news, the “Sweetheart Grips” customization option has been leaked, the supposed date for preload has been reported, and a load of zombies details have been mined from the PC beta files.

Call of Duty: WWII “Sweetheart Grips” Gun Customization Images Leaked

[tps_header]

While Sledgehammer Games let us play around some of the classes, loadouts, and weapons in the Call of Duty: WWII beta, we didn’t really have a firm view of how visual customization will work for the game. Sure, Sledgehammer has said publicly that we shouldn’t expect any “pink camos” for weapons, but other than that, we’re left in the dark…until today.

Over on Reddit, another COD: WWII leak has surfaced with the info gathered once again from the PC beta files. This time, it’s not about the Zombies mode, Basic Training list, or maps, but rather, a new kind of gun mod called “sweetheart grips.” Those not familiar with the term, soldiers back then used photos of their loved ones (significant other usually, hence “sweetheart”) under the clear grip covers of their weapons. Thanks to user Imreally2good4u, 42 sweetheart grips can be seen in the gallery below! Same as with the usual leaks, given these were obtained from the beta files, some of them might be inaccurate, removed or just placeholders for the final version.

Report: Call of Duty: WWII Pre-Load Starts November 1

Those excited to strap your boots back on and get into the gritty world of Call of Duty: WWII, here’s some relatively good news: it seems the COD: WWII pre-load date is on November 1, which means you have two full days to download the client before the game is officially out.

The date was spotted here in the screenshot below by Reddit user vorkot3:

The Reddit user says he is from the Netherlands, but there’s no reason why a different pre-load date would be needed for other regions. We currently don’t know the exact file size of Call of Duty: WWII, but I gather, two days should be enough to download the entire thing, no?

For other Call of Duty: WWII news, check out a flood of leaks right here; we also posted how to get a free (and hidden) COD: WWII Calling Card that you should get now. Finally, there’s a new Prestige system for this year’s COD (well, relatively new), which you can check out in our video feature.

Call of Duty: WWII will shoot out this November 3 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Crytek’s New Game “Hunt: Showdown” Is Coming to Steam Early Access, Watch the New Trailer

Crytek has been very busy! The team’s current project, Hunt: Showdown, is looking good in the newly-revealed Steam trailer (embedded just below). The reason it’s a “Steam trailer” is because the game will be coming to Steam Early Access.

It’s not yet clear when players will get to access the game, only that it’s “coming soon.” In the meantime, give the trailer a watch and read up on what the game will be all about!

Savage, nightmarish monsters roam the Louisiana swamps, and you are part of a group of rugged bounty hunters bound to rid the world of their ghastly presence. Banish these creatures from our world, and you will be paid generously—and given the chance to buy more gruesome and powerful weapons. Fail, and death will strip you of both character and gear. Your experience, however, remains in your pool of hunters—called your Bloodline—always.

HIGH RISK, HIGH REWARD, HIGH TENSION

Hunt’s competitive, match-based gameplay mixes PvP and PvE elements to create a uniquely tense experience where your life, your character, and your gear are always on the line. At the beginning of each match, up to five teams of two set out to track their monstrous targets. Once they’ve found and defeated one of these they will receive a bounty—and instantly become a target for every other Hunter left on the map. If you don’t watch your back, you’ll find a knife in it, and your last memory will be of another team of Hunters walking away with your prize. The higher the risk, the higher the reward–but a single mistake could cost you everything.

PROGRESSION

Even in death, you will be able to progress among the ranks of Hunters via your Bloodline. Though one character may die, their experience will be transferred to your Bloodline, where it can be applied your other Hunters. If you make it off of the map alive, you will be able to use the money and experience you earn to kit out new Hunters and prepare for the next match. If you die, you lose everything but your experience.

DARK SIGHT

Dark Sight allows Hunters to see into the veil between worlds, making that which cannot be seen by mortal eyes visible to those who have been initiated. Use Dark Sight when you are tracking monsters, and a ghostly light will guide you toward your next target. Dark Sight also marks players carrying a bounty, making them more vulnerable to ambush while trying to escape.

Well, it certainly looks pretty, and sounds interesting. What do you make of Hunt: Showdown? Let us know!

In other news, a battle royale experience is set to launch on Nintendo Switch, Oculus has revealed new VR tech, and we gave our impressions on the Star Wars Battlefront II beta.

Call of Duty: WWII Zombies Mode Leak Mentions Bonus Map, Hints at First Zombies DLC

While we reported on a massive Call of Duty: WWII Zombies mode leak a week ago that detailed the weapons, features and more, there seems to be another COD: WWII Zombies mode info leak, and this one might be bordering on spoiler territory.

YouTube channel TheGamingRevolution posted a video where it talks about the said new Zombie mode info which was obtained by digging through the PC beta files. Now if you’d rather read the new stuff than watch the video embedded, Reddit user mjshmjsh77 made a recap of it all, which you can read below. Again, this is bordering on spoiler territory, so proceed at your own discretion.

Before I start I have to say that this is SO HUGE and if I were you I wouldn’t read it but its your choice. Also all credits go to @TheGamingRevolution on youtube. now for the leak :

based on codes found in the Beta files , there is actually a second bonus map that will unlock after the completion of the main map EE. when you finish the EE , you rescue KLAUS FISCHER and he takes you to that second bonus map which seems to be an Austrian house.

there is also this code: Mountaineer_dlc1 which suggests the zombie map for DLC 1 takes pace in a mountaineer area and there actually is such area close to Mittelburg which is the first map.

So, a bonus level and the first DLC for Zombies mode might involve mountaineering area? Yep, seems like it. Again, though, Sledgehammer has said that the beta files are not to be trusted 100 percent since some of them are “inaccurate.”

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the leaked info in the links below. There’s a ton of reading to do if you’re a COD fan, so best get to it.Also, make sure you get the free Calling Card for COD: WWII as well!

Overwatch Copycat “Heroes of Warfare” Developer Being Sued By Blizzard

Blizzard is taking aiming at a copycat game by the name of Heroes of Warfare. It’s a mobile title that plays like and looks incredibly similar to Overwatch.

Blizzard China and NetEase (Overwatch‘s Chinese operator) believe it’s a blatant rip off and are taking legal action. I mean, you can’t exactly blame them! Just look at the screenshots and game description below:

[ngg_images source=”galleries” container_ids=”17″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_imagebrowser” ajax_pagination=”1″ template=”default” order_by=”sortorder” order_direction=”ASC” returns=”included” maximum_entity_count=”500″]

Join the rank of heroes and dominate the battlefield!

Features:

※ Control Objective in 5v5 Battles
Heroes of Warfare provides over ten maps with various visual styles. Each team of 5 players must capture the objective point in the center of the map and hold it from enemy assault.

Combining elements of traditional FPS and team-based MOBA games, Heroes of Warfare provides an innovated shooting experience on your phone like never before.

※ Smooth and Intuitive Control
Clear button layout allows you to easily master controls from basic movement to advanced abilities, and you can even customize your interface and scheme to your personal taste!

Ark: Survival Evolved Xbox One X Enhancements Are Surprisingly Impressive

Ark: Survival Evolved is coming to Xbox One X with style, it seems. Aiming to take optimal advantage of Microsoft’s new “most powerful console,” Ark on Xbox One X will feature high dynamic range (HDR) support and two graphics modes.

The first is a Detailed Graphics version with 1440p resolution and Truesky (which is the equivalent to High quality on the PC) at 30fps.

The second is a 1080p mode which equates to the current Xbox One graphics, with improved 60fps.

If the system manages to keep up with game’s demands, this should make for one of the better Ark experiences!

For those playing in splitscreen, the host tether will still be enforced, but players will be given more range to split up and explore.

The Xbox One X will eliminate the host tether in local splitscreen mode and will increase the tether range in non-dedicated mode. Unfortunately we were unable to remove the tether completely due to CPU limitations, but we hope that players will benefit from the increased range.

As for Xbox Play Anwhere and cross-play support, they are still currently delayed until November. This is due to the developers wanting to “get BattlEye functioning on Microsoft’s platform.”

If you’re interested in renting a server, that service will be available on Xbox starting October 25th.

In other Ark news, the devs managed to get cross-play between Xbox One and PS4 systems working internally, but Sony will not allow public access. If you’ve taken a break from Ark and want to get back into it, check out details of the latest expansion here.

Destiny 2 Director Discusses Weapon Perk Rolls and The “High Percentage of Players” Who Have Completed the Game

Destiny 2 director Luke Smith sat down with EDGE to talk about the game’s post-launch reception. Two of the more interesting points he made were: 1. weapon perk rolls and what could come next, and 2. the high percentage of players who had completed the campaign.

In the original Destiny, weapons were dropped with varying abilities. These guns could then be “re-rolled” to try and get a more preferable set of perks. In Destiny 2, this is no longer a thing. Each weapon has only one set of perks, reducing the variety and excitement that comes with picking up duplicates.

Luke Smith believes that the fixed perk system was the right move:

“I’m still a pretty big supporter of the change. I believe that, ultimately, the Destiny franchise is heading towards becoming a collection game. I understand that we have shortcomings there right now that we need to address. With respect to making duplicates matter, this is still one of the things we have ideas for.

You project, when something comes out, what you think the problems are going to be. Sometimes you’re right, and you’re like, cool, we can just do the work we planned to do. Sometimes you’re not right, or you have something else come up that becomes a higher priority. So for us, what we’re doing right now is looking at the potential work we could do, and we’ll prioritize it.

I still believe, and so does the gameplay team, that we’ve done the right thing for the collection game.”

As for the sheer number of players who have gone through the entire campaign and reach the level cap of 20, Smith calls the figure “shocking,” and says that his team should “be really proud of that.”

“There have been some pleasant surprises, but there are some that ask you to be introspective about them, too. An extremely high percentage of players have both finished the campaign and reached the level cap. Like, a shocking number of players. I think that’s a really interesting data point, and the team should be really proud of that. It means that, when people enter the world, they’re sticking around.”

Though we haven’t been given exact figures, it’s still impressive to consider just how many people booted up the campaign and stuck with it until the end.

In other Destiny 2 news, this video demonstrates the game’s often brutal and unfair spawn system, Prison of Elders may be making a return, and the PC version’s specs have been revealed.

Following its impressive demo, which attracted over one million playersGran Turismo Sport has garnered attention for its success in combining smooth performance with great visuals. It attempts to maintain a locked 60fps, allowing for additional responsiveness in control and an overall better-looking presentation.

Eurogamer’s “DigitalFoundry” division have offered further analysis, measuring the exact frame-rates achieved, as well as offering their expert assessment of the game’s use of HDR.

Commenting on the game’s smoothness, DF’s John Linneman wrote: “We had a difficult time encountering any slowdown during gameplay, meaning that if it does occur, it should be rare. The races all play back very smoothly at 60 frames per second – a level of performance often missed in the PS3 installments. PS4 Pro owners also get the chance to run replays at 1080p60 – while base PS4 and the high-res Pro mode operate these at 30fps instead. It’s not a perfect lock but the results look brilliant…”

As for HDR, Linneman summed it up as: “Many games benefit from HDR, but with GT Sport, the upgrade is so pronounced and so beautiful, you’re clearly not getting the full experience without it.”

NPD: Destiny 2 Physical Sales Down 50% Compared to Destiny 1

Let’s *not* get physical! Destiny 2 sale figures for physical disk copies are down 50% when compared to the original title.

According to NPD sell-through data, the “U.S. physical game sales of ‘Destiny 2’ declined more than 50 percent in the month of September versus the 2014 release of “Destiny” in its first month.”

Of course, that’s not to say that Destiny 2 hasn’t been successful. Activision has confirmed that the sequel “surpassed the original’s records for engagement and digital sales in launch week.”

It seems that a lot of Destiny fans prefer their content digital, choosing to buy from the PlayStation and Xbox digital storefronts, rather than a physical retailer.

These US figures are similar to those gathered from the UK.

Any hiccups in Destiny 2 sales could be due to the game releasing solely on current-gen platforms, and leaving the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 behind. It’s also possible that some players are holding off for the PC release.

We’ll have to see how things turn out following the PC release and holiday period.

In other Destiny 2 news, this video demonstrates the game’s often brutal and unfair spawn system, Prison of Elders may be making a return, and the PC version’s specs have been revealed.
