Dino-Crisis Inspired Game Instinction to be “Gruesome,” Devs Explain How Dinos WIll Feel Alive

If you need more dinosaur-related games in your life, you’ll have another one that you can add to your collection in the coming future, as Hashbane Interactive has announced “Instinction,” an upcoming title inspired by Capcom’s Dino Crisis.

In our exclusive chat with the studio, we asked them how much gore players can expect, and can we see dinos eating humans, or will it be more “implied” violence for a lower ESRB rating.

MP1st: How much gore can players expect? Will the game feature dinos eating humans or is it more implied carnage? What rating is the studio expecting for the title?

Jade Saunders (studio co-founder): In one word: Gruesome. Once we release the reveal trailer we’ll apply for an ESRB rating, it’s likely not going to be child friendly!

In the same interview, we asked the studio what’s their approach in making the dinosaurs feel “alive.”

MP1st: What’s the team’s approach to making the Dinosaurs feel “alive?”

Richard Gold (Lead Developer): This comes down to believable movement, textures and sounds. They have dismemberment and gore mechanics, if you’re planning on knee-capping a dinosaur, you’ll see it limping for instance. Some but not many are NPC (non-player characters) which add to the ambience of the game, yes you can kill them too, but you can think of the use of them similar to adding birds to a game.

MP1st: Speaking of being alive, what can we expect from the AI? Will packs of raptors react differently in certain situations? Do you feel that players will have a constant (feeling of) fear?

Richard: Yes, you can expect flocking dynamics in the AI, this can also be said of some of the underwater gameplay.

Stay tuned to our full interview which will hit the site later this week.

Instinction is planned for a 2022 release on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.

Xbox Suspend Game Feature Will Increase Download Speeds

Tired of some slow download speeds while playing a game on Xbox platforms? Well, seems like the folks over at Xbox are also, as it has been revealed that a new Xbox suspend game feature is currently in testing, upping download speeds while maintaining your game progression.

What Is the Xbox Suspend Game Feature?

According to a recent Tweet made by Xbox Engineering lead, Eden Marie, the Xbox Suspend Game feature will allow gamers to suspend their game activities to allow the system to perform software (games, updates, apps, etc.) downloads at full speed. As of right now, the system automatically lowers these speeds whenever a user is playing a game so that their online experience doesn’t get interrupted by the additional load of resources from downloading.

User’s can select the new option under the managing queue section on Xbox. What’s more, when a user does decide to select this feature they will be able to return back to their game, from the same place they left it at (obviously not online matches). The feature is currently being tested by Xbox Insider Program users, though suspect it to release over the next couple of weeks or so.

Eden also confirmed in the Tweet that a new banner is being added to the Xbox library, allowing users to see which Xbox Game Pass titles are leaving the service soon.  A welcoming, and much requested feature by the community that should will no doubt help users prioritize which games to play on the service. Again, no release window has been given for the public, but we will be sure to update you all once there is one, so stay-tuned!

Marvel’s Avengers Update 1.5.0 New Content Overview

In case you didn’t know, tomorrow’s a big day for Marvel’s Avengers players, as not only is Crystal Dynamics releasing the Future Imperfect title update (Marvel’s Avengers update 1.5.0) that features Hawkeye, but the next-gen versions will be released tomorrow as well.

In addition to that, there’s the new custom HARM rooms incoming, as well as a new free outfit for Ms. Marvel. the ability to replay the campaign, and more! To make it easier for fans to see what’s new, Crystal Dynamics has released an info overview of everything new in tomorrow’s patch!

Marvel’s Avengers Update 1.5.0 New Content Overview:

New Hero: Hawkeye

One of the most iconic archers is here! We first met Clint Barton as Hawkeye in Kate Bishop’s Operation, Taking AIM, where she brought him back from the brink of a huge AIM conspiracy involving the manipulation of time itself. As Kate Bishop’s mentor and close friend, Clint and Kate have similarities in their skillset due to being mentor and protégé, but nevertheless, they are two different fighters, each with their own style. You must unlock Hawkeye in the Future Imperfect Operation in order to play him in the Avengers Initiative. Hawkeye is available at no additional cost!

Operation Future Imperfect

You do not need to have completed the Reassemble Campaign or the Taking AIM Operation in order to begin Future Imperfect, but we highly suggest you do as important plot points are introduced in the former stories as we build a continued narrative all the way from Kamala’s origins in Jersey City to where Future Imperfect will take us and beyond. You can start Future Imperfect by selecting it from the Main Menu screen or the Operation Picker in Avengers Initiative.

Next-Gen Upgrade

Players who own the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version of the game will be able to upgrade to the full next-gen version at no additional cost. Featuring updated visuals, improved destruction and Heroic detail, significantly faster load times, cross-generational play and more.

Players who want to upgrade their digital copies must go to their respective platform’s digital store and select the free upgrade to start the download. Players with the physical copy must have the next-gen console with a disc drive and will insert the disc as part of the upgrade. An upgrade from a physical copy to a digital-only next-gen console is not available. If you want to transfer over your save data from one generation to the next, use the respective cloud system or a USB stick to play right where you left off.

Campaign Replay

This long-awaited feature is finally here. The Campaign Replay allows you to replay the entire Reassemble Campaign from the beginning. While your data tracking campaign progress will be reverted, you will not lose any player progression like XP, character progress, and collectibles obtained up until this point. In the Operations Picker, go to the Reassemble Campaign, and select Reset Campaign Progress to start from the very beginning at A-Day. We can’t wait to see what Photo Mode shots come out of your replays!

Customizable HARM Rooms

Many members of the Community have expressed the desire to tailor the HARM room for a personal Super Hero training experience, so we have now introduced customizable HARM Rooms with this patch! Accessible via the War Table, players can tailor their HARM Room experience for their needs. After a short tutorial, hop in and see what havoc you can unleash. Available on all platforms!

New Enemy: Cargo Runner Synthoid

Appearing in various places, the Cargo Runner Synthoid is a new enemy who carries items and will try to run away from any sign of danger. If you manage to chase it down and destroy it, it’ll drop its cargo, which contains resources – and perhaps more.  Keep your eyes open for these new types of enemies.

Of course if your on Team Read (AMD,) MAINGEAR does offer pre-builds with the latest in Ryzen Chip and AMD Graphics that are pretty comparable to the pricing of buying the parts alone.

Dying Light 2 Dev Update Features Seconds of New Gameplay, Devs Ready to Talk “Very Soon,” and Asks Fans to Send Questions

In case you didn’t know, Techland promised last week that it would provide a Dying Light 2 development update for today, though the studio also said fans shouldn’t expect a release date announcement to come out of it. Well, we got a few seconds’ worth of new gameplay, and that was it.

Here’s the two-minute video which consists mostly of the devs reading angry tweets and talking about how they will communicate about the game “very soon.” Oh, there’s a few seconds of gameplay sprinkled near the end which might be interest to you, too.

Lastly, the studio has asked fans to go hop into the game’s official Discord channel and send in their questions about the game.

Sadly, that’s it. While I wasn’t expecting a release date or anything major, I was at least expecting a new gameplay trailer or something. I guess we’ll have to wait some more for new Dying Light 2 info to make its way out.

Final Fantasy 7 Director Tetsuya Nomura Talks FF7R Intergrade, FF7 The First Soldier, and FF7 Ever Crisis

Final Fantasy fans who are looking forward to the new batch of FF7 games coming out for the compilation will certainly get their fill of new information, as Final Fantasy 7 director Tetsuya Nomura had a lot of information

Speaking with Weekly Famitsu, Nomura talked about the updated Final Fantasy 7 Remake rerelease for PS5 called FF7R Intergrade, as well as the two new mobile games by Square Enix called FF7: The First Soldier and FF7: Ever Crisis. Here’s the entire interview below via press release.

■FFVII REMAKE INTERGRADE

– Please could you tell us about the design concepts for new character Sonon?
As mentioned in his introduction, Sonon comes from Wutai and is working with Avalanche, which is why his character design has an oriental appearance with military style clothing and an armoured motif. I also came up with the idea to have him fight with a style of martial arts using a quarterstaff to balance with Yuffie’s style, and so I made his outfit look like it was easy to move around in. Originally he was designed with finer features for a softer “pretty boy” look, but I thought that him being paired with Yuffie would add a new dynamic that differed from what you got with Cloud or Vincent, so I changed him to the more masculine character you see now.

– There has also been a small reveal of the new battle system, with Yuffie and Sonon fighting together as a pair. We saw some team combo style attacks from them, so I would like to ask more about the concept for these battles. Also, what does the small icon to the left of the gauge mean?

The player only controls Yuffie, so the system is set up to create an awareness of your ally fighting alongside you, as you manoeuvre around the battlefield, watching for combination opportunities with Sonon. You can also choose between two different control modes, one where Sonon acts independently and one where he follows Yuffie’s commands to act in unison with what she is doing. The little icon represents that you can push L2 to switch between combo modes.

– Are there any additional new materia and summons?

There are new materia and summons just for the episode featuring Yuffie.

– Are there any future DLC plans?

Due to the nature of the upgrade system, it resulted in us having to label the new Yuffie sections as “DLC”. However, the original intent was to create a PS5 version of FFVII REMAKE and not to produce DLC. Accordingly, we do not have any plans for DLC at this time. Sorting out the development environment on PS5 for FFVII REMAKE INTERGRADE, meant that moving on to developing the sequel was much smoother. We are now prioritizing the roadmap for completing the next game, so if we do need to think about more DLC then it will probably come after that is finished.

■FFVII FS

– FFVII FS is a battle royale style game and so somewhat of a surprising (?) entry in the FFVII series. I have a feeling that because of this it is designed to appeal not just to FFVII fans, but also to other types of player too. On the other hand, there are quite a few rivals out there in the battle royale genre, such as PUBG, Fortnite, Apex Legends and Knives Out, so what audience are you targeting for THE FIRST SOLDIER?

It is not unique to FFVII by any means, but the fan demographics for long running IP series do tend to become quite fixed, making it something of a challenge for us to appeal outside of that existing fan group. There is a strong belief that we should not be sitting on our laurels with the weight of the FFVII name behind us though, and so we set about developing FFVII FS with the gumption to compete as a new challenger in what is the hottest gaming genre right now. I think that many in the core audience for this genre will not know about FFVII or maybe even never have played a FINAL FANTASY game at all. I do want people to discover an interest in the world of FFVII from this game, but it goes without saying that if we are going to do it properly then there can be no half measures, and we are putting everything we have into getting the content of the game right too. It is a genre that we do not really have any experience in, but also one that a lot of FFVII fans might not have tried before, so I hope that we can all take on this new challenge together.

– Do the three “Basic Trooper” gauges at the top left of the screen represent your teammates? Also, I would imagine that the fist, sword and rod icons indicate their jobs, but can you change jobs for each battle?

The main FFVII game does not have a job system, but we have added a lot of classic FF elements to give FFVII FS its own strong individuality within the battle royal genre. As you have correctly inferred here, each player on a team can select a job-like play style called a “style” for a match and these icons represent the styles chosen. Each style has its own unique skills and abilities, and you can change the one you set for each battle. There are advantages to continuously using the same style, but we will reveal exactly what exactly those are at a later date.

– Are there any plans for a beta test or the like?

We do have plans for a closed beta test, so please watch out for more information on that in future.

– What are you personally focusing on and taking most care with for FFVII FS?

The majority of the player experience comes from the actual gameplay itself, so I am personally putting my emphasis on how the controls and gameplay actually feels. However, I think that the one aspect battle royal game fans are most concerned about is the balance. The game’s producer, Mr. Ichikawa, was also the one of those who proposed the original idea and he himself is a big battle royale player. He will really be the voice of the player base on the team and provide expert opinions on what needs focus and where the fine tuning needs to be. I am also giving my own, inexpert feedback, but Mr. Ichikawa is really knowledgeable, and he will always respond to my ideas in terms of how they would affect the balancing of a battle royal game, so I can safely make my reckless proposals, knowing that he is there to keep them in check. Also, with the game being for smartphone platforms, I am making sure that the team does not disappoint in terms of the graphics.

■FFVII EC

– In our previous interview, you described how FFVII EC would be divided into chapters. Will the new chapters be released for free? Also, what are the monetized elements, and will you be able to enjoy the story without paying?

You will be able to play the chapters released for free. The monetized element is basically loot boxes containing random weapons. Some of the special weapons also come as a set that includes new costumes that were not in the original games, adding in a new way to enjoy the story that you won’t have seen before.

– What volume of content will be in each chapter? For example, how many chapters do you envisage the original FFVII story covering?

We are trying to fit the story of the original FFVII into 10 chapters. To be a bit more specific, the team will escape from Midgar in chapter 3. I think that should give you an idea of how much the other titles will cover as well.

– Will there be completely new, original episodes in FFVII EC as well?

Yes, naturally we have created some of those too. The first one will be a new episode we are working on that covers the story behind FFVII FS that was announced at the same time. The events of FFVII FS take place around 30 years before the FFVII main story, and go into the founding of SOLDIER, so it goes without saying that you will see some of the legendary heroes in their younger days, as well as younger versions of the future Shinra executives and other characters who will appear in the REMAKE sequels. I think that it will really add depth to some of the characters who we do not have room to show fully in the main games.

– If the footage released showing the Scorpion Sentinel fight takes place in Mako Reactor 1, is the presence of Aerith and summons here because it is an introductory video or because story progression and battles are separate?

The game has a story mode where you will follow Cloud and the gang on their journeys, but also features special dungeons and battles that go outside of the timeline delineated by the various compilation titles. These will allow players to enjoy taking on the mightiest enemies from the series using their dream party, in ways that the story battles do not allow.

– For the music, will you be using arrangements of the original tracks from FFVII?

Yes, the music is all based on the originals, but has been newly arranged for FFVII EC.

– What have you focused on and taken most care with for FFVII EC?

I would say it is the visual presentation being aligned with the original FFVII, with the exploration sections done in a stylised, super deformed style and the proportions of the characters increased in battle. The compilation titles outside of the original FFVII were not structured with these rules and have completely different battle systems, but I wanted to unify them all in one format for FFVII EC, while not losing the individual character of the different games. Making the battles interesting was also something that we couldn’t overlook, so I was quite cutting in my feedback about them. We have also seen that people want to be able to play the various different series titles on the current console hardware, so the design concept behind FFVII EC is not intended to be a replacement for that, but a convenient and casual way to touch on these games.

– Please let us know if there is anything else that you want to mention that was not covered by the above questions?

It seems like I will be having a busy time for the foreseeable future, not just this year but next year and the year after that. This is only just the first announcement relating to FFVII and you can look forward to more information coming in the future. But first of all, look out for that release of FFVII REMAKE INTERGRADE on the 10th of June. At that time, we will also be unlocking a lot of the broadcast prohibited areas of FFVII REMAKE, with INTERGRADE made with as little as possible off-limits from the start. I personally like gameplay commentary videos myself, so I would be delighted for people to take this opportunity and share the fun with others again too.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will be out for the PS5 on June 10.

Don’t forget,, Square Enix Digital Showcase event premieres this March 18.

Resident Evil 25th Anniversary Coverage Details From Famitsu Revealed

Next week marks the 25th Anniversary of the Resident Evil franchise, and longtime RE fan and video game writer Alex Aniel — better known by his handle cvxfreak — has tweeted some pretty interesting RE 25th Annniversary news coverage coming from the latest issue of Famitsu!

Here’s the tweet thread by Alex, where he posts what is featured in the issue.

It definite will be a busy year for Capcom, as more RE related showcase events are being planned to not only celebrate 25 years of the series, but to prepare for the release of the latest installment in the series with Resident Evil Village. In addition to featuring a retrospective timeline of the games released, Alex also tweets that Capcom has confirmed that the next RE Village demo will take a portion out of the finished game — and will be more gameplay driven than the Maiden demo that’s already out for PS5.

Capcom also confirms in Famitsu that the next Resident Evil Village demo after MAIDEN will feature a portion taken from the final game, unlike MAIDEN, which is purely a visual demo that was meant to be a technical showcase.

The first Resident Evil game, known as Biohazard in its native Japan, was released on March 22, 1996 for the original PlayStation. Combining third person perspective gameplay with pre-rendered backgrounds, the game was the first to coin the term Survival Horror – and featured action oriented gameplay along with puzzle-solving, live-action cutscenes, B-Movie style voice acting, and a mansion setting filled with zombies and biological monsters. RE1 became an instant and critical success, and would spawn various sequels, spin-offs, and remakes that remain popular to this day, as well as being featured in other forms of media such as animated and live-action movies — including a new reboot film that will be more faithful to the source material and is slated for release this September.

Speaking of Resident Evil, Netflix’s upcoming anime series called Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness has new details and artwork — and will feature the return of RE2 Remake voice actors Nick Apostolides and Stephanie Panisello as Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield respetively.

Little Nightmares 2 Update 1.04 March 17 Crawls Out for Fixes

Tarsier Studios has released the Little Nightmares 2 update 1.04 March 17 patch (1.0.06 on Xbox One and 1.3 on Nintendo Switch), that includes a significant number of fixes. This isn’t a big download (only 900MB on Steam), but the official patch notes pack quite a long list of fixes. Head on below to know about ’em all.

Little Nightmares 2 Update 1.04 March 17 Patch Notes:

All platforms:

Global

  • Fixed a bug where Six responds to calls during cooperative long-jump moments resulting in failure to catch the player.
  • Fixed language issues in the trophies of the Traditional and Simplified Chinese versions.
  • Fixed a bug where some objects would disappear, especially when the player died and respawned.

Wilderness

  • Fixed a bug where the key could not be retrieved in the Cabin Attic if the player restarted from checkpoint at a specific moment.
  • Visual fix for a floating rope in the Cabin Attic key puzzle.
  • Footstep animation fix for Six in the toolshed scene before the raft ride.

School

  • Visual fix for lung floating in the air after the Teacher inserts it into the biology model.
  • Visual fix for the Teacher not picking up chalk when writing on a chalkboard.
  • Adjusted audio parameters on a wiggling drawer to avoid sound corruption.
  • Adjusted geometry so that Sixdoesn’t get stuck on a railing in the schoolyard.
  • Taught Six how to get down from the top of a goalpost in the schoolyard.
  • Allowed Bullies in the Teacher’s study to go around the shelf so they don’t get stuck.
  • Disallowed player from standing on a column frame to skip the puzzle in the Biology room.

Hospital

  • Fuse no longer appears early in the Hospital hub when the player follows a very specific set of steps.
  • Fixed a bug where the achievement “Objection” does not unlock if the player dies while unlocking the achievement.
  • Ensured that the elevator doors can open for the player if they reload from a checkpoint near the small incinerator below the X-Ray room.
  • Ensured that the elevator and switch will reset if the player reloads from a checkpoint near the big incinerator at the end of the Hospital chapter.
  • Fixed a bug where the player can survive from the fall from the crawlspace down into the Morgue. Sorry, speedrunners.
  • Adjusted the way that stuffed animals are put into the incinerator to ensure that the key appears when many stuffed animals are put in at once.
  • Visual fix for the patient animation when the Doctor comes to the room after unplugging the respirator.
  • Visual fix for the X-Ray machine not rendering correctly on all aspect ratios.
  • Visual fix for light not flickering above the electric chair.

Pale City

  • Fixed a bug where televisions would not respond to the remote if the player happened to die just as they touched the screen.
  • Blocked a level escape (fall through the world) behind the collapsing ceiling scene.
  • Adjusted rubble that allowed the player to reach a door handle without Six’s help.
  • Adjusted checkpoint trigger for the cooperative clothesline puzzle so the player cannot skip the puzzle by dying.
  • Fixed a bug where Viewers were being de-spawned in the street if the player backtracked after solving the electric water puzzle in the shopping area.
  • Extended grabbable surface around the backside of a TV so that it is less frustrating to climb up it.

Transmission Tower

  • Fixed a texture issue during the ending cinematic.

Switch only:

School:

Fixed a bug where the player could fall out of the world if they backtracked from the isolated bully to the room where a bully was playing with a frog.

NBA 2K21 Update 01.007 March 17 Patch Notes:

Update: Visual Concepts has released the patch notes for today’s next-gen patch!

  • The City has received an all-new Spring update to help ring in the warmer months!  This will be going live starting Thursday.
  • The following players have received likeness, tattoo, and/or signature facial animation updates:
    • Mikal Bridges
    • Jaylen Brown
    • Thomas Bryant
    • Vernon Carey Jr.
    • John Collins
    • James Ennis
    • Malachi Flynn
    • Wenyen Gabriel
    • Daniel Green

    • Jordan Nwora
    • Daniel Oturu
    • Jerome Robinson
    • Isaiah Stewart
    • Tyrell Terry
    • Xavier Tillman

  • Resolved an issue that caused the names of some playbooks to disappear.
  • Addressed a rare issue with Dark Matter player cards not displaying the player reveal during pack openings (MyTEAM).
  • Addressed an audio issue with Dark Matter card animations (MyTEAM).
  • Prep work for Season 6 of MyTEAM.  It’s…peculiar.
  • Various stability and performance issues have been addressed to further improve the overall experience.

Note that the patch seems to be exclusive to the next-gen version of the game (we checked current-gen), though if that changes, we’ll update the post.

While Visual Concepts has not released the official changelog just yet, we’ve listed the new stuff in the latest patch for current-gen, as Visual Concepts has announced that the features below will be added at a”later date.” Exact wording is: *Update is available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4; will roll out to additional platforms at a later date.

GENERAL:

  • 2K Foundation Inspired court at 2K Beach along with new seasonal decorations.
  • Updated another set of player likenesses for current NBA players.

MyTEAM:

  • Addressed a rare issue with Dark Matter player cards not displaying the player reveal during pack openings
  • Addressed an audio issue with Dark Matter card animations
  • Addressed a name display issue for some playbook cards
  • Additional various preparations for upcoming additions to MyTEAM

Of course, given the big differences between the next-gen and current-gen versions of NBA 2K21, don’t be surprised to see a significant list of changes included in today’s next-gen update for the basketball sim that’s not present in the current-gen versions. That said, once the devs share the changelog, we’ll update the post.

Update: We’ve updated the post with the official patch notes from the studio.

VII. Adjustments & Optimizations

● System

Spiral Abyss

Starting from the first time that the Blessing of the Abyssal Moon changes after updating to Version 1.4, the two Blessings of the Abyssal Moon will be as follows:

○ Period I: Windward Moon

Characters possess an ATK-increasing Windward Aura that can increase their ATK by a maximum of 60%. For every opponent who steps within the Aura, the Aura’s effect is decreased by 25%. When 4 or more opponents are within the Aura, this effect will not provide an ATK increase.

○ Period II: Skyward Moon

Hitting an opponent with a Plunging Attack decreases their DEF by 40% for 10s.

※ There will be no change to the reset times of the Spiral Abyss and Blessing of the Abyssal Moon. These remain the first and sixteenth days of each month, respectively.

Increases the maximum quantity of Condensed Resin that may be held. Travelers may now hold up to 5 Condensed Resin at any one time.

Optimizes the order of item drops: More valuable items will appear earlier in the list.

Optimizes the cooking function: After unlocking Auto Cook, the option Cook Manually remains.

Optimizes the Spiral Abyss challenge: Challenges can be restarted mid-stage; Elemental Resonance effects can be viewed from the character selection screen; adds the option to exit before entering the next floor.

Cooking, crafting, and forging functions remember your previous character selection.

Optimizes Xiao’s expression when casting his Elemental Skill.

Optimizes the visual effect in Co-Op Mode when the camera makes contact with a teammate or NPC.

Optimizes camera close-up transitions in some domains and quests.

Optimizes the Original Resin replenishment screen: Travelers can view the quantity of Fragile Resin they own and decide which item to replenish Original Resin with more easily.

When you first download the game client on a mobile device, only the voice-over resources corresponding to your device’s system language will be downloaded initially by default. (Example: Devices where the system language is set to English will download only English voice-over resources by default.) When you update the game client on a mobile device, voice-over resources will be downloaded for both the voice-over language corresponding to your device’s system language and the currently selected voice-over language in the game. (Example: If your device’s system language is set to English and you have selected Japanese voice-over in the game, both English and Japanese voice-over resources will be downloaded when you update the game.)

Travelers can download any additional voice-over languages they wish to use from within the game.

● Audio

The Chinese voice artist for Amber is changed.

Adjusts the Chinese and Japanese voice-over for certain characters.

Adjusts the English voice-over for certain NPCs.

Adds Chinese voice-over for certain characters.

Adds dialogue voice-over to the Oceanid boss fight as well as certain sound effects for Oceanid Creatures.

Optimizes the sound effects for certain character skills and environments.

Optimizes the playback setting for the sound effect when characters take damage.

● Other

Adjusts the appearance of Rosaria.

Fixes an issue whereby some characters who have not hit a target with an attack can jump while returning to a standby pose and thus perform a Plunging Attack.

*Additional Note: We are paying close attention to the possible impact of other operations that can produce the same effect. If we have plans to change them in the future, we will announce that as soon as possible.

VIII. Bug Fixes

● Domains

Fixes an issue in the Spiral Abyss whereby after reconnecting to the server, buffs provided by Benediction of the Abyss may stack incorrectly.

Fixes an issue with the Domain “Enter the ‘border'” whereby characters may skip certain parts of the process under specific circumstances.

Fixes an issue whereby a character who is sitting down may be lifted up by the crystallized platform generated by a Solar Isotoma.

Fixes an issue with Tartaglia whereby after applying the Riptide status to a monster, removing the character from the party and adding him back in may incorrectly trigger the Riptide effect that was previously applied.

Fixes an issue whereby Albedo’s Level 6 Constellation “Dust of Purification” may not take effect properly.

Fixes an issue with Qiqi’s animation on the Dressing Room screen.

Fixes an issue with Qiqi whereby casting the Elemental Skill “Adeptus Art: Herald of Frost” in the same location multiple times consecutively may cause the skill’s effects to disappear.

Fixes an issue with Fischl’s Passive Talent “Undone Be Thy Sinful Hex” whereby it has a small chance to target Oz.

Fixes an issue whereby Xiao’s Elemental Skill “Lemniscatic Wind Cycling” fails to complete quest objectives that involve cleaning/sweeping/etc.

Fixes an issue with Xiao whereby even if his Lv. 1 Constellation “Dissolution Eon: Destroyer of Worlds” has not been unlocked, there is still a chance that the Elemental Skill “Lemniscatic Wind Cycling” may be cast three times in succession.

Fixes an issue with the Traveler whereby jumping or sprinting while casting the Elemental Skill “Palm Vortex” stops the Talent “Second Wind” from being triggered properly.

Fixes an issue with some of Benett’s movements and facial expressions on the Character Screen.

Fixes an issue whereby when Klee leaves the field just as the duration of her Elemental Burst “Sparks ‘n’ Splash” is about to end, her Lv. 4 Constellation “Sparkly Explosion” does not correctly take effect.

Fixes an issue whereby when Hu Tao’s Elemental Burst “Spirit Soother” hits multiple enemies, the HP regeneration value displayed may be lower than the correct value (the actual regeneration effect still functions correctly).

Fixes an issue whereby Ningguang’s Charged Attack animation may lag.

Fixes an issue whereby the homing function of Ningguang’s Elemental Burst “Starshatter” may fail to take effect.

Fixes a visual issue with characters’ shields whereby after reconnecting to the server, the shield may incorrectly remain. (Note: This is not an issue with the functional effects of the shields, which work in-game as intended.)

Fixes an issue whereby when a character uses a Plunging Attack, they may become obstructed by a Geo construct and unable to perform any other actions.

Fixes an issue whereby if a character is hit by a monster while jumping, the character may be launched far away.

Fixes an issue whereby performing a Plunging Attack may not reduce the fall damage sustained by the character as intended.

Fixes an issue whereby character animations may be incorrect when walking up and down steps.

Fixes an issue with Noelle’s Passive Talent “Devotion” whereby its cooldown does not function correctly.

Fixes an issue affecting characters with shield skills whereby generating a shield, then switching character, then removing the character who generated the shield from the party may cause errors with the shield’s duration.

Fixes an issue whereby closing the PC game client while a character’s shield is active then logging back in to the game may cause errors with the shield’s duration.

● System

Fixes an issue whereby when certain characters use a skill to defeat the second phase of the Childe boss, the skill effect does not correctly display in the third phase of the boss fight.

Fixes an issue whereby multiple instances of a single character may appear in the Character Showcase.

Fixes the color of the dialogue option “I’d like something” with Master Zhang in Liyue Harbor when a forging task is complete.

Fixes an issue whereby the Compare function on the Weapon Selection screen may not close correctly.

Fixes an issue with the Parametric Transformer gadget whereby after adding the required quantity of materials, it is still possible to adjust the quantity of other materials that have not yet been added.

Fixes an issue with the Destroy function whereby the information on which character has which weapon/artifacts equipped may not be up-to-date.

Fixes an issue in Photo Mode whereby certain UI elements are not hidden after selecting Hide UI.

● Audio

Fixes an issue of incorrect Japanese and English voice-over in certain quests.

● Other

Developed by Wizards Studio, Tuque Games, and set in the Forgotten Realms, the game features real-time combat and dynamic co-op gameplay, and pits the infamous Drizzt Do’Urden and his legendary companions – Catti-brie, Bruenor, and Wulfgar – against some of the most iconic monsters from the world of Dungeons & Dragons. Frost Giants, Beholders, and White Dragons roam the frozen tundra of Icewind Dale in search of the Crystal Shard— and it’s up to the companions to muster the strength to stop them from claiming and using it to destroy their home.

Priced at $39.99, pre-orders for Dark Aliance are live now on the game’s website and select retailers. The Steelbook edition costs $59.99 and includes the steelbook case a printed art book, a downloadable Dungeons & Dragons soundtrack, a Beholder and Lich weapon set, and the forthcoming expansion “Echoes of the Blood War.” Those who prefer to get their games via digital, the Digital Deluxe Edition is also available for $59.99 and includes the upcoming expansion “Echoes of the Blood War” and the Lich weapon set. All pre-orders – regardless of edition or platform – will receive an exclusive in-game Beholder weapon set at launch.

As for those who are thinking whether to get the game on current-gen or next-gen, a free upgrade is part of the package, so regardless of platform, you’ll be able to upgrade the game you bought within the same console family.
