Top 10 Female Characters in Multiplayer Games

Lots of games nowadays have female characters as the main protagonists. This is a very smart move, considering that the majority of the videogame fans out there are men, so using a well-designed, charismatic, and attractive character is a win-win scenario.

In fact, attractive girls are unlikely to leave our screens; they sell their products, and they captivate our attention with everything they do. So, it is impossible to compile a definite top, especially since everyone has different tastes. So, this material does not claim to be like a definitive top 10, the one that everyone has to accept as the truth, of course not. It includes characters who are beautiful or/and interesting in our personal opinion, and we encourage you to make up your own list of favorite female characters. I am sure that it will be quite easy to make up a top 50 list, but to compile a top 10 list will be quite hard, so let’s not waste our time anymore. Here’s our list of top 10 female characters in multiplayer games:

PhoebeBattleborn

The inventor, adventurer, and heiress of one of the largest states in the Last Light Consortium, Phoebe Elizabeth Audelia Hemsworth the Fourth is not someone to sneeze at. I mean, she controls floating rapiers! How can you even consider messing with her? The character turned out quite original and unique; when thinking about Battleborn, it is her image that appears in our minds.

Laura,Street Fighter 5

Laura, in our opinion, is the best original character of Street Fighter 5. Her fighting style is unique, just like herself. Restless and active and having no boundaries, Laura constantly gets into trouble, but it’s just as easy for her to make friends. Her playful nature is also manifested in her outfit – a fashionable asymmetrical hairstyle, a deep cleavage, a sports top, and a lot of bracelets on her hands. And I mean, how can you not become her friend, considering her looks?!

Senua,HellbladeSenua’s Sacrifice

Senua is a complicated lady. Her heart is occupied by the lost lover, and the mind is inhabited by voices, which gives reason to consider her insane. However, she is so devoted to her beloved that she embarks on a dangerous journey in spite of any obstacles and roadblocks ahead of her because she hopes for even a small chance that she will be able to get him back to life. How many girls are capable of that? She is strong not only in spirit but also in terms of her physique. She fights with monsters and giants and other representatives of mythological fauna. She isn’t afraid of anything, and she won’t stop because of anything that life (or rather hell) throws at her. Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice should be on your list of games to play just to get to know her character better.

Lohse,Divinity: Original Sin 2

Here’s yet another redhead on our list, and I mean, what can I do about the fact that they are cute? Lohse is one of the main characters of Divinity: Original Sin 2. A bright girl with an eccentric character, she is a musician and an actress, at least in terms of the performance that is happening in her head where several voices live. Apparently, these voices try to take over her at all times, yet she seems fine for the most part. However, this fact does not make the heroine less attractive, rather the opposite.

Maria,Nioh

Nioh has a lot of beautiful women. For example, one of the best female characters in the game is Maria. She is a smoking hot blonde Spaniard who is also a spy. She is a girl who knows how to kill a man in a thousand and one way, and she cannot be called weak. Actually, Maria proves it more than once during this game. Would you risk saying a word against a girl who not only gracefully lures you into her web but also is capable of killing a man without showing any weaknesses?

Princess Leia,Star Wars Battlefront 2

That same beautiful princess which many of us remember from childhood. She looks gentle and fragile, but in fact, she is the leader of the rebels, and no one is better at it then Leia. She cannot really be called defenseless despite the fact that, in terms of her appearance, Leia is the closest Star Wars has to perfection. Without her, Star Wars Battlefront 2 would no longer be the same, so it is with confidence we can say that it is she who makes this game worth playing because don’t make me started on their in-game store… But Leia is great there.

Cassie Cage,Mortal Kombat X

Restless daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonia Blade is a pain in the ass of her parents. But even at her young age, she is the successful savior of the world; who can add something like that into their resume? Cassie got a great pedigree, and she has something to brag about, even before she steps foot on a battlefield. While I would not call her as charismatic and as well-developed as her parents, she has a long road ahead of her; she has a lot of potential. She loves to take selfies of herself and of her dead enemies.

Jessica Miller,Need for Speed: Payback

The Need for Speed series is legendary; there is no doubt about it. And when it comes to women, NFS doesn’t lack whatsoever. It is common for EA to use real-life models to be cast as NFS characters, which is a good thing because all of them look beautiful. Yet we are concerned with Need for Speed: Payback for the sake of this list. Jessica Miller is a charismatic and strong woman; she always got your back when you need her the most, and don’t get me started on her looks: the word “gorgeous” doesn’t serve her well; she is something else.

Chun Li,Street Fighter

Mrs. hypertrophied legs, an Interpol officer, and part-time Chinese officer, Chun Li is among the most legendary video game characters out there. She appeared for the first time in 1991 in the game called Street Fighter 2; you might have heard of it. It was she who became the very first female character in fighting games. She is one of the most recognizable video game characters in history, so it is given that she would be on this list. You can make an entire essay about her legs. Compared to the rest of her body, they are just huge! She is something else, not only are her legs gorgeous, but she can kick the absolute crap of everyone she sees.

Poison,Street Fighter

But if Chun Lee is a true fighter, then the smoking hot Poison looks more like a porn star, which is emphasized not only by her forms and the sexual outfit but also by her behavior. As we’ve already said, and as you know, most of the players in fighting games are male, so a character like Poison fully meets the public demand. The American audience was so outraged by this character that the designer Yakiro Yasuba had to urgently declare that Poison was actually a transvestite. Poison appeared in various stories and comics from Capcom. Her most recent participation occurred in the game Street Fighter X Tekken. Her being in the first place is just a personal preference more than anything else.

Just two weeks ago, we reported that the Path of Exile PS4 release date was pegged for sometime in “mid-March” by Grinding Gear Games. Today, the studio has given an update on the release date, and nope, it hasn’t been delayed again, but rather, the studio explains why they can’t give an exact date just yet.

We know many of you are eagerly awaiting a firm launch date for our PlayStation 4 release so we wanted to give you an update about what to expect in the coming weeks. Development has been completed and we are still expecting to launch in mid March. Anthem Roadmap for the Next 90 Days Detailed, and There’s a Lot Planned for Players

Just a few weeks ago, BioWare revealed our first early look at the Anthem roadmap, and mentioning how the first even starts in March. Today, the studio dives deep into what’s in store for the recently released shared world looter.

BioWare’s Head of Live Service Chad Robertson posted a message to fans stating that the studio has a lot of work ahead to continue to improve the game, and also touches on the recent patch deployed by the studio, with the next list of improvements set to be discussed next week.

Coming off our Early Access period, we understand that we have lots of work ahead of us to continue to improve the game. As a Live Service team, a core tenet for us is listening hard to the community. We use that insight to fix issues and make Quality of Life fixes to the game. Our most recent patch – the one you are playing now — reflects your feedback. You can see the list of changes here. Many came from listening to you. Beyond that, we have a growing list of improvements we’re evaluating for the future. You’ll start seeing the next of those this coming week.

As for the Anthem roadmap, check out what’s in store below, and there’s a lot!

Let’s hope that next week’s round of fixes include the HDR issue, and the health bug issue plaguing players.

Stay tuned to MP1st’s review of Anthem! We’re doing our best to review the game based on what the players are actually experiencing.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Reserves Now Rewarded Past Tier 100, Reserve Cases Earn Rate Doubled

We reported earlier today that Treyarch changed how you earned Reserves in the Contraband stream in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 so that once you hit tier 100, you won’t earn anything past that.

If you were annoyed at this, be annoyed no more. Apparently all that whining by the community worked as Treyarch not only changed it so that you still earned Reserves after hitting tier 100. but the studio even doubled how Reserve Crates are earned! This change was rolled out via a server-side hotfix.

Black Market Progression Updates

This week’s update brought several changes to the Black Market, including an Inventory system, simplification of Blackjack’s Shop UI, and the new ability to earn Blackjack’s Reserve Cases by playing the game on top of earning new items with each Tier in the Contraband stream. The goal of this system was to give more players more frequent access to content in Reserves, as players could now earn them from the start by playing the game, rather than only gaining access after completing Tier 100.

However, by moving progress toward Reserves up front instead of at the end of the stream, this had an unintended effect on players who progressed through the first 100 Tiers. Initial earn rates for Blackjack’s Reserve Cases through gameplay were also too slow. These issues and more are being resolved today.

Effective immediately, Reserve Cases have been added back to the Tiers at the end of the Contraband stream, andplayers will continue to earn progress toward Cases for gameplay time while progressing through the stream. Daily Tier Skips after 100 Tiers also now work as before, granting a Case for each Tier for players of all modes to ensure the original goal of allowing players to earn Reserves earlier and with more frequency than in previous Operations.

Additionally, the earn rate for Reserve Cases through gameplay has been doubled to ensure players earn Cases faster at all times.

Lastly, if you’ve already progressed beyond Tier 100 during this Operation, you will automatically be awarded with the same number of Reserve Cases that you would have earned for every Tier completed since that point in this Operation. This means no lost Tier-based progress toward Reserves, as your Cases earned after Tier 100 should be waiting for you once you’ve applied this evening’s update.

The following updates are live today on PS4, with other platforms to follow:

Blackout

  • Hot Pursuit
    • Hot Pursuit added as the Featured Playlist on PS4.
    • 3 new vehicles added: SUV, PBR, and Muscle Car, as well as police variants of the helicopter and ATV.
    • New vehicles have special abilities to give players a competitive advantage at the risk of greater exposure.
      • Muscle Cars have the ability to spot nearby Supply Stashes and Supply Drops.
      • Police vehicles have built-in Sensor Dart functionality when their police sirens are activated, as well as the ability to detect enemy-occupied Muscle Cars.
    • Supply Stashes and Supply Drops occur more frequently than normal.
    • Players respawn with each circle collapse as long as one teammate is still alive when the next Collapse occurs. Respawns are disabled at the final Collapse.
    • Last team standing wins the game.
  • Prestige
    • Addressed an issue where the “Battle Hardened” Calling Card would lock after Prestiging.

Black Market

  • Progression System Updates
    • Reserve Cases earnable at every Tier after 100 in the Contraband stream.
    • Daily Tier Skips apply to Tiers after the 100-Tier mark through play in all modes.
    • Earn rate increased 2X for Reserve Cases through gameplay time.
    • Cases retroactively awarded to players who progressed past Tier 100 before today’s update for every additional Tier completed.
    • Players continue to earn Cases at all times in addition to unlocking Contraband Tiers through gameplay time.

Multiplayer

  • Outrider
    • Improved the reticle transition while aiming down sights with the Sparrow.
  • Game Modes
    • One in the Chamber
      • Time limit will now reduce to 60 seconds if only 2 players are left, unless time limit is already under 60 seconds.
      • Cleaned up UI elements that aren’t used in One in the Chamber from the HUD.
  • Maps
    • Casino
      • Closed exploits on Casino that would allow players to get outside of the map.

World League Hub

  • League Play
    • Parties will no longer disband after completing League Play matches.

Zombies

  • Additional “MKII” Weapon Support
    • Added support for new “MKII” weapons in Zombies (Swat RFT, Daemon 3XB, KAP 45).
  • Gauntlets
    • Death-Con Five
      • Addressed and issue that could cause players to experience a progression break if they downed themselves in Round 6.

Xbox One and PC:

Blackout

  • Featured Playlist
    • Close Quarters Frenzy
      • Close Quarters Frenzy Quads added as the Featured Playlist on Xbox One and PC.
      • Take on enemies using only SMGs, pistols, shotguns, melee attacks, and launchers while fighting to survive an even faster Collapse.
      • Last team standing wins.

PC:

Zombies

  • Daily Calling Rewards
    • Future additional Tier Skips now properly awarded for completing Daily Callings.

All Platforms:

Zombies

  • Prestige
    • Addressed an issue that prevented players from earning Weapon XP or camo progress after using a Prestige Token to unlock a weapon.
  • Stability
    • Various stability fixes.

Not a bad turnaround time by Treyarch, no? Let’s hope this doesn’t happen again.

Anthem Health Bug Is Presently Annoying Players, EA Aware of the Issue

While we just reported on the Anthem HDR issue yesterday, it seems there’s another bug that’s more severe plaguing the game now, and it has something to do with actual gameplay. There’s an Anthem health bug issue present now, and it’s making the game very hard to play especially at harder than usual difficulty settings.

Reddit user FishermanYellow posted an image of how using the exact same components and gear on his Colossus, the health bar is drastically different, which shouldn’t be the case.

Health bug – Both health bars are with the exact same components/level/gear on my Colossus – Confirmed not just a visual bug- Any news on a fix?
byu/FishermanYellow inAnthemTheGame

Another user by the name of A_Retarded_Alien has posted that his health bar constantly fluctuates between 2-4 bars when it should constantly be at 10 bars.

Bioware, can you PLEASE address the health bug. The game is unplayable in GM1 and above for Ranger, Storm and Interceptor.
byu/A_Retarded_Alien inAnthemTheGame

Over on EA’s Answers page, Community Manager EA_Alexander has posted a message acknowledging the issue, though also says that there’s no “details” at this time.

Hey folks,

We’re aware of the issue, unfortunately no details at this point.

Again, we appreciate all the reports. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t see a response from us right away, our teams are constantly monitoring bug report boards.

Let’s hope this gets sorted out soon. For the rest of the issues that are already fixed by BioWare, check out this list.

Report: Next-Gen Xbox Models to Be Announced at E3 2019, Set for Release End of 2020

Like it or not, we’re close to the end of this console generation. If you’re looking forward to the next-gen Xbox console, it seems we’ll be hearing more about it soon!

According to a new report from JeuxVideo (via Gematsu), the next gen Xbox will be announced at this year’s E3 2019, and is set for release by end of 2020. There are two versions of the console, which are codenamed “Lockhart,” and “Anaconda,” which works like the Xbox One S and Xbox One X. Lockart is said to be an entry level console and won’t have a disc drive, while Anaconda is the higher-end device.

According to JeuxVideo, the specs sheet which was leaked back in January are close to accurate, and here’s a quick look at ’em:

Xbox “Lockhart” Xbox “Anaconda”
CPU Custom 8 Cores – 16 zen threads 2 Custom 8 Cores – 16 zen threads 2
GPU Custom NAVI 4+ Teraflops Custom NAVI 12+ Teraflops GPU
RAM 12GB of GDDR6 memory 16GB of GDDR6 memory
Storage SSD 1TB NVMe 1 + GB / s SSD 1TB NVMe 1 + GB / s

Again, the specs aren’t 100 percent accurate. Additionally, The Verge Senior Editor Tom Warren also posted on ResetEra and states that the above tech specs are not 100 percent accurate as well.

Here’s a quick rundown by ResetEra user Iceternal:

So there will be two different models, one weaker and cheaper with no blu-ray reader and one uber powerful and expensive.

– Two Scarlett devices announced this E3: Lockhart and Anaconda
– Lockhart = entry level device, no disc drive, digital focused machine
– Anaconda = high end device, price similar to Xbox One X’s launch price
– Xbox should announce a disc drive less Xbox One in the coming months
– Launch fall 2020
– For the specs sheet, they say that this is what was rumored to be but can only confirm the presence of SSDs on both machines. They’re NOT confirming the full sheet.
– Halo Infinite is a launch crossgen game
– Ninja Theory’s game is slated for early 2020.

As you can see from the leak, Halo Infinite is said to be one of the launch titles, with Ninja Theory also readying something for the console’s launch.

Bear in mind that none of these are confirmed, and as such, should be treated with a grain of salt. Even so, though, it’s nigh time we’re set to usher in the next generation of gaming, and from how many smoke signals we’re getting, there’s bound to be some truth there.

Are you ready for next-gen? What do you hope to see in the new Xbox?

Anthem Upcoming Changes Outlined Along With Resolved Issues via Server-Side Fix

While BioWare has rolled out a pretty big day one patch for Anthem, the studio has more fixes and changes planned soon.

First off, the studio can roll out fixes via a server-side hotfix, though they can’t do that for every issue the game has. Here’s the current list of live issues that BioWare has managed to fix:

  • Coin changes for Daily/Weekly
We have fixed an issue that displayed and rewarded the incorrect amount of Coin from various activities
  • Stronghold Matchmaking
We have extended the timer that allows for matchmaking in a stronghold. This should allow groups to fill easier when matchmakin
  • Non-stop Rain
We have fixed an issue that was causing it to rain in game more than intended
  • Fusion Proc Bonuses on Weapons
Weapons were incorrectly applying infusion proc/bonuses from being equipped when they should only have been applying bonuses from the weapon that was in the active slot
  • Chests found in Missions changes
Chests found in missions now have less of a chance to drop higher tiered items
  • Emotes Not Properly Saving
We have fixed the issue that was causing emotes not to save properly when boun
  • Shield Fix
We corrected an issue that was allowing players who still have shields active to be one shot by high damaging attacks

Unfortunately, the HDR bug that’s present now can’t be fixed via a hotfix, and will require a patch. Here are the rest of the Anthem upcoming changes according to BioWare.

  • The final boss in the Heart of Rage stronghold isn’t appearing if the group wipes before engaging
  • HDR is currently disabled on consoles (Xbox One and PS4)
  • Some players are encountering issues that are causing them to crash

Stay tuned to MP1st’s review of Anthem set to hit the site once we’ve given the game enough time.

The Division 2 Creative Director Congratulates Anthem Launch

In case you’ve been living under a rock, you most probably have heard that a little game by the name of Anthem is out today. For those looking forward to live services-themed games, Anthem isn’t the only one launching this year as Ubisoft’s The Division 2 is set to assault players this March 15.

While some gamers take sides when it comes to console preferences or even games, the actual makers of said games do not. Case in point? Julian Gerighty, Creative Director of The Division 2, tweeted a congratulations to BioWare for launching Anthem, which even included a picture of his cat.

This nice gesture didn’t remain unnoticed though, as Lead Producer for Anthem Michael Gamble gave thanks to Gerighty and mentions how he’s looking forward to The Division 2 as well.

It’s nice to see when these things happen, and remind us that the constant warring between platforms and game franchises are usually exclusive to fanboys and fangirls rather than the makers themselves.

For those who want to test out The Division 2 before buying, a beta is set to happen this March 1 and will be open to everyone.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Players Can’t Earn Reserves/Tiers After Hitting Tier 100

Hoo-boy! This just keeps getting messier and messier. Just yesterday, we posted that the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 community was in outrage after Activision introduced loot boxes into Black Ops 4. The addition of loot boxes in the game now puts the microtransaction sources in the game already at three, but it seems it’s worse than we thought.

It’s now been confirmed that once you reach tier 100, you will not be able to earn any more reserves! Remember how in past Operations where after reaching the last tier and completing the next ones yielded random reserves that contained random items? Yeah, that’s not happening now. This was confirmed by Reddit user TheCannabalLecter after Direct Messaging the official Activision Support Twitter account.

This is also explained better by YouTuber PrestigeIsKey.

Will Activision reverse this given the pitchforks being raised by the community? Let’s hope so. If ever they do, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Is this a non-issue for you given the items in the reserve are cosmetic stuff? Or is this just plain greed by Activision working overtime?

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Game Settings Update Today Adds League Play, More Tweaks

Following the other day’s big patch, and the Maddox recoil tuning update, Treyarch has released a Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 game settings update today.

PS4 gamers will finally get League Play, and there’s a bunch of tweaks as well.

League Play is Here! (PS4)

Your home for competitive Multiplayer in Black Ops 4 arrives today on PS4 with the debut of the World League Hubon PS4! World League is now the new fourth pillar of the game, which you’ll see between Multiplayer and Blackout on the main menu. Now that you’ve had time to test out your competitive loadouts in the Pro Series Playlist in pubs, it’s time for the real deal.

Jump into our inaugural League Play Event to start playing for rank all week long. You’ll be competing against opponents matched at your skill level to earn Ladder Points and take top position in your Division Ladder. Win matches to earn Ladder Points – lose matches, and your Ladder Points go down. Finish as high as possible in your Division Ladder by the end of the event to advance through 20 ranks on your way to Diamond.

League Play is governed by the same CWL ruleset that the pros play by, and it’s the only mode in Multiplayer that utilizes skill-based matchmaking. Be sure to read our upcoming World League Rank System blog for the full details on our new ranking system, League Play Divisions, Ladder Points, Daily Bonuses, rank rewards, and more!

PC 1.13 Update + New Blackout Inventory System

Our 1.13 update is live on PC today, including the console updates detailed on Tuesday under the “PS4 and Xbox One” section, as well as several PC-exclusive updates and improvements. These include PC-specific MP weapon tuning updates across nearly every weapon class, such as faster rechamber speeds for bolt-action sniper rifles and improved ADS handling for assault rifles.

Also new to Blackout on PC: our updated inventory system now shows both weapons simultaneously, making it possible to view and manage attachments on both weapons in your inventory at once. Give it a shot in-game and let us know what you think!

Additional Weapon Support in Zombies (PS4)

The Zombies arsenal gets even bigger today on PS4 with added support for some of our newest weapons in the Zombies Armory, including the Switchblade X9 folding SMG and Rampage full-auto shotgun.

A New Secret Has Been Buried…

Speaking of which, we’ve heard reports of some experimental weaponry in the underground caverns of Ghost Town waiting for those who look closely enough…

Hot Pursuit Arrives Tomorrow on PS4

Get ready to start your engines… our all-new Hot Pursuit limited-time mode arrives tomorrow in Blackout on PS4, introducing three new vehicles into the mix with the SUV, PBR, and Muscle Car! Each vehicle has its own strategic advantage, so choose wisely.

Apex Legends Havoc Weapon Info Outlined by Respawn

In case you aren’t keeping tabs on Apex Legends news, Respawn Entertainment has added a new gun to the game! Called the Havoc, this new weapon is a hitscan one, which means you can hit targets where you aim since it won’t have bullet drop like the other weapons.

The big game-changing ability of the gun is unlocked when you find and equip it with a Turbocharger attachment. Read up on the Apex Legends Havoc weapon info below.

The HAVOC’s default fire mode is full-auto with a charge time. This means you have to hold the trigger down before the gun will start firing. Once those Energy rounds start flying, their high damage, high velocity, and low bullet drop make up for having to wait.

The HAVOC is the first weapon that is compatible with multiple Hopup attachments! (You can still only use one at a time.) Check it out:

1) Turbocharger – Don’t want to wait for autofire charge-up time? Find a Turbocharger and forget all that.

  • Equip this rare hopup to eliminate autofire charge time and unleash the HAVOC’s full autofire DPS potential.

2) Selectfire Receiver – enables Fire Select to Hitscan Charge Beam

  • This single fire mode charges a powerful shot over time, then releases it automatically when it’s ready. A long blue beam traces out across the battlefield, as you instantly hit your target with the raw power of light.
  • The play pattern is new to Apex and twists our normal combat, requiring players to keep the reticle on target with precision.
  • HITSCAN yeah I said it. Unlike other weapons in Apex, “hitscan” weapons pretty much instantly hit the player under your reticle when they fire.
  • Don’t lead your target! Instead, make sure the reticle is directly on top of your target when the charge beam fires.
  • HAVOC Charge Beam mode has damage falloff so you can’t hitscan other players for big damage across the map without counterplay.
  • Your 25 round mag goes through 5 rounds at a time to power this incredible feat of science.

Respawn says that there are rare fully kitted Havoc’s out in the game, which should give players who find these bad boys an advantage.

Have you used the Havoc weapon? What do you make of it so far?

Anthem Day One Update Breaks HDR on PS4 and Xbox One (Update)

Update:

Xbox One users are also affected by this bug, and it’s not just for PS4!

(Thanks, Justen Holstein)

Original Story:

With Anthem set to launch official tomorrow (or later today, depending where you are), BioWare has released a massive day-one patch that’s live now.

Unfortunately, this new Anthem patch seems to have broken something as well, and that’s HDR — at least on PS4. This was found by reddit user Naedtrax, who mentioned that this wasn’t the case in the demo.

Anthem 1.02 patch breaks HDR
byu/Naedtrax inPS4

HDR won’t trigger at all after applying the new patch, and given there is no HDR toggle at all you can’t do a damn thing about it.

Tested the demo client and HDR pops right away.

I booted Anthem on PS4 just now, and can confirm that HDR doesn’t work. Hopefully, BioWare can roll out another patch or maybe get a server-side hotfix out ASAP so this gets fixed fast.

For those not familiar with HDR, it’s High Dynamic Range (you can read up about it here), and is only available for PS4 Pro (Xbox One X) users, and your TV/monitor should support this feature. If you don’t own a PS4 Pro, or don’t have a TV that supports HDR, then this won’t affect you at all.

If you’re playing Anthem on Xbox One or PC, let us know in the comments if this Anthem HDR bug is the same case with the game on those platforms.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Loot Box Introduction Causes Community Outrage

With this week’s big patch ushering in the start of Operation Grand Heist, players were treated to a new Specialist, new weapons, gun skins and more. Unfortunately, this new Operation has also introduced something we thought we’d never see in a Call of Duty title again, and that’s loot boxes.

With the introduction of loot boxes, Black Ops 4 now has three in-game sources of microtransactons; a fact we highlighted just the other day. This little fact hasn’t escaped the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 community. Over on the game’s official subreddit, multiple threads have cropped up overnight with people stating that they’re not buying another Call of Duty game again, or asking how F2P (free-to-play) titles have less microtransactions baked in than Black Ops 4. Here’s a quick look at the game’s subreddit today:

As you can see, only a handful of the topics aren’t related to Black Ops 4 microtransactions.

People are finally realising that Activison is probably the worst thing ever happened to gaming

Most people are blaming Activision for introducing loot boxes in Black Ops 4, and that may very well be the case — especially if you consider how Activision has publicly confirmed that the game didn’t meet their targets commercially.

Do you think people are overreacting to the Black Ops 4 loot box introduction? Is it warranted and has this affected whether you’re going to buy the next Call of Duty or not? We want to hear your thoughts, and share ’em in the comments below.
