Anthem In-Game Currency to Be Called “Coins”

If you’ve seen BioWare’s latest Anthem livestream, you might have noticed a small icon pop up during the mission that might be a mystery to a lot of players. In case you haven’t seen it before, here’s what I was referring to (via Twitter user Alem_Ant):

Not familiar what it is? Well, we know now! Over on Twitter, the same user asked Anthem Lead Producer Mike Gamble just what it is, and it’s called “Coins,” which is the Anthem game currency!

For now, we’re unsure just what items or in-game stuff players can buy from Coins, but for those worried how this might be connected to microtransactions, BioWare has made no mention of it at all. Also, the developer has repeatedly said that Anthem microtransactions won’t affect game balance in anyway, and with how much visual customization is in the game, the chances of microtransactions just being tied to visual cosmetics is kind of high.

What do you think is the use for Coins? Are you worried that it’ll be tied to microtransactions?

In other Anthem news, BioWare has shared that the max level in the game at launch is currently at 30, though the studio will probably increase it at some point in the future.

Unofficial Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Crashing Xbox One Fix Works, and Here’s What to Do

If you’re a Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Xbox One player, and you were hoping to binge this coming holidays, you might not be able to do that, as the game seems to have a crash problem currently on the platform. To be more specific, there’s a Black Ops 4 Blackout crashing Xbox One issue, and it’s gaining a lot of movement on the official Black Ops 4 subreddit.

User MouthForWar86 posted a detailed description of what Black Ops 4 Xbox One players have been experiencing the past few days.

But this problem has literally made the game unplayable for countless users. There are threads upon threads about it, some with hundreds of upvotes and comments.

One X users, regardless of drive type, resolution, in game events, or anything else, are consistently having their game freeze and crash in late-stage Blackout gameplay (top 5-15 or so). There are some outliers regarding timing, and apparently the issue is also infrequently affecting PC and Xbox One as well, but it has primarily been a One X issue.

While you’re patting yourself on the back and posting threads detailing fixes for camo and all sorts of piddly crap, a HUGE and growing percentage of us can’t even play the game. But what’s worse is that we’ve gotten zero indication that you’re even aware of the issue.

What exacerbates the issue for most is how silent Treyarch has been, with nary a “we’re aware of the issue and working on a fix” statement from the developers.

Thankfully, though, Reddit user primosauce seems to have found an unofficial Black Ops 4 Blackout crashing Xbox One fix! Check out the steps below, which is super easy to do.

Here’s a work around. Exit call of duty every hour or so from the xbox menu, restart the game and you should be good. It’s a memory leak of some sort, seems to load up over time and ultimately shit the bed after about 1.5 hours or 6 to 7 games. Some people crash a little more often but my group of three xbox one x owners were all about 1.5 hours in.

Some users have reported that this method works, though we can’t 100 percent say it will, since, well, it is an unofficial fix and all that.

Hopefully, Treyarch responds and more importantly, rolls out a hotfix or something so that the Xbox One Black Ops 4 community can partake in the annual “Christmas nooobs” party.

Are you an Xbox One Black Ops 4 player? Have you experienced any sort of crash and have you found a fix? If so, don’t hesitate to email us (tips@mp1st.com) and if we report on it, we’ll be sure to credit you.

Tekken X Street Fighter Is 30% Done, Currently “Pending” According to Tekken Director

Remember Tekken X Street Fighter? Announced way back in 2010, and is Bandai Namco Entertainment’s version of the two fighting game franchise’s crossover event (with Capcom making Street Fighter X Tekken which was released in 2012), the game has long been considered dead by most people given the lack of Tekken X Street Fighter news for years.

Well, it seems someone doesn’t think the game is dead just yet, and it’s none other than Tekken game director and franchise guru, Katsuhiro Harada! During a livestream, Harada says that Tekken X Street Fighter is still “pending,” and that it’s currently at 30 percent done. Check out Harada talk about it in the video below though it’s in Japanese (via Avoiding the Puddle):

With the game now set to enter year nine of development, and the game still at just 30 percent done, the chances of the game seeing the light of day is becoming more and more unlikely by the year. That said, who knows, though? Maybe Bandai Namco allocates enough resources into the project and we’ll see it come out next year? I wouldn’t hold my breath, but who knows.

Are you still hoping to see Tekken X Street Fighter? Or do you think the title is just vaporware at this point?

Anthem Max Level Is Currently Set at 30, BioWare “Probably” Will Increase It at Some Point

If you’ve been keeping tabs on BioWare’s action-RPG game Anthem, chances are you’ve seen how the game has RPG elements woven into it like upgrading abilities, equipping the best gear, and more. Another familiar thing Anthem is including in the game are rank progression.

For those wondering what the Anthem max level is for Pilots, it’s currently set at level 30, though the chances of it being increased in the future is almost a certainty. Over on Twitter, Lead Producer Ben Irving revealed these bits of info in answering a fan.

Yes it’s 30. Probably yes in the future at some point.

While this might seem low for some, remember that Anthem is an ever-evolving online experiences, and there’s no reason why BioWare can’t increase the level cap as more content is released.

Speaking of levels, BioWare has also revealed that for the upcoming demo set for next year, players will start the demo at level 10 right away. This also means that the character creator won’t be part of the demo experience given that part is shown at the beginning portion of the game.

For the latest Anthem gameplay, check out 40 minutes of footage from BioWare where we see the Interceptor class take on a new Stronghold mission.

Is level 30 too low for you when it comes to the Anthem max level, or you’re not concerned at all since this is something the studio can tweak post-launch?

Battlefield V January Update First Draft Is Already Almost 10 Pages Long

While it is the holidays, DICE is still busy tweaking away at Battlefield V. In case you had any doubt, there will be a Battlefield 5 January update, which we expect to include fixes, and improvements across the board.

Over on Twitter, Producer Jaqub Ajmal revealed that his first draft of the Battlefield 5 January update is almost 10 pages long!

Given it’s just the first draft, the chances of this Battlefield V update going over 10 pages is almost a certainty. It’s not really that surprising, mind, given that the December update was over 14-pages long.

Must-Read Battlefield V News:

What are we expecting from the January update? Maybe the implementation of the bipod fix which we’ve been given a sneak peek at, and there’s also the vaulting and soldier animations that DICE has confirmed is being worked on. Who knows? Maybe even enemy visibility will be part of the fix, which I hope it is.

What do you hope gets fixed in the Battlefield V title update?

Anthem Demo Will Have Players Start at Level 10

With Anthem being developed as an action-RPG, and the game relying heavily on a character’s skills and abilities in order to show off how the game could be fun, some might be wondering how this would translate to the game’s upcoming demo, given it wouldn’t be that much fun if the Anthem demo character level would be at level 1 — meaning, no souped up abilities or skills.

Well, have no fear! BioWare has confirmed that in the Anthem demo, players will start at level 10 right away! This was revealed by Anthem Lead Producer Michael Gamble over on Twitter, where he also reassured a fan that the upcoming demo is an actual demo, and not a beta.

That’s welcome news to hear, right? We still don’t know what the demo level cap will be, but regardless of what it is, players should be leveled enough to experience some of the character’s best skills and abilities just from the demo.

For more on Anthem, go watch this 40-minute gameplay look where the Interceptor javelin is shown off along with a new Stronghold mission.

Report: Battlefield V Microtransactions Launches January 18, 2019

Just a few months ago before Battlefield V launched, EA revealed how the Battlefield 5 microtransactions will work in the game, though there was no specific date or schedule when this would take effect. Well, now we know when.

According to Amazon’s listing of the Battlefield V: Battlefield Currency (the currency used in the game for real world money), the Battlefield 5 microtransactions start date will be on January 18, 2019! Here’s a screenshot of it (thanks to Reddit user spanky008):

As you can plainly see in the text, it states that the item will be available on January 18, 2019. Note that this is not official, and things could change.

In case anyone’s worried, EA has already said that Battlefield Currency can grant users items that won’t affect the game balance in any way, so these will be cosmetics for guns and soldier camos mostly.

Here’s a rundown of the bulletpoint EA gave back in October:

  • In Battlefield V, you progress by playing. The more you play, the more you’ll progress, and the more items you can unlock to outfit your Company.
  • When it comes to gear, there is no one right answer — only what’s right for you, your playstyle, and the needs of your squad.
  • There are two types of in-game currency. Company Coin is earned only through gameplay. Battlefield Currency is purchased with real-world money.
  • Battlefield V is made to reward how often you play and how well you play. You will never be able to use Battlefield Currency or spend real-world money to get anything that gives you an unfair gameplay advantage.

While these, too, can change, the chances of DICE allowing anything that can affect game balance be bought using real world money is very slim given how EA was trashed publicly for what it tried to do with Star Wars Battlefront II.

Are you fine with the microtransactions in the game? Do you have any concern with the reported start date? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Anthem Interceptor and New Stronghold Gameplay – Watch 40 Minutes of Footage

In case you didn’t know, BioWare held its last Anthem livestream yesterday where the developer showed off the Interceptor class, and even a brand new Stronghold mission. If you weren’t able to catch it, you can watch the entire 40-minute session now!

Check out the Anthem Interceptor and new Stronghold mission below.

Game Director Jonathan Warner joins Lead Producers Mike Gamble and Ben Irving to delve into Anthem’s Strongholds and see more of the Interceptor javelin in action.

With how mobile and melee-friendly the Interceptor is, it might be the “ninja” class that a lot of players gravitate to in terms of sheer style.

In other Anthem news, BioWare thinks that competitive PvE would be a “good fit” for Anthem. We also listed down the known elemental damage types the game has.

PUBG PS4 Update Patch Notes Lists New Weapons, Fixes for the PTS

If you’re playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) on PS4, you might have noticed a PUBG PS4 update kick in earlier today. PUBG Corp. has updated the PTS (Public Test Server), and has introduced new weapons, new bug fixes, and even some quality of life improvements.

What is the PTS?
The PTS (Public Test Server) is a separate PUBG server that is free for anyone who already owns a copy of PUBG. The purpose of the test server is not just to provide a preview of upcoming features, but to find the issues we need to solve so we can work on the fix as soon as possible.

All player data, statistics, etc from the test server will not carry over to your live server account.

To take part in the test, all you have to do is own a copy of PUBG for PS4 – it should have been automatically downloaded along with the Live PUBG application. If not, you can find the “PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS PTS” in the Purchased section of your Library.

PTS Open Schedule

  • KST: December 21 2:00PM
  • PST: December 20 9:00PM
  • CET: December 21 6:00AM

For healthy matchmaking, some modes have been disabled in PTS. Please see below for available queues:

  • Asia, NA, EU – TPP Solo, TPP Squad
  • Vikendi will be the only map available to play on PTS.

Check out the full PUBG PS4 update patch notes below:

Vikendi
Gameplay

  • Vikendi is 6x6km map. The gameplay of Vikendi is quicker than Erangel and Miramar, but offers an arguably more tactical experience than Sanhok.
  • Players can throw snowballs while waiting to board the plane in the starting area
  • Vehicles will be more slippery in snow or icy areas. Acceleration on icy terrain is slow and you lose more general vehicle control as you speed up
  • Footprints and vehicle tracks will appear as players travel in snow-covered areas. Keep an eye out! These are great to help identify if enemies have passed by recently
  • Keep in mind that footprints and tracks in the snow don’t stay around forever!

Redzone

  • The center of the red zone spawns outside of the play zone
  • The smaller the play zone, the smaller the red zone

Bluezone

  • The first circle of every game is much smaller than other maps, but subsequent circle sizes change less drastically.
  • This facilitates more blue zone variety and unique experiences.
  • Similar strategies work on Vikendi to Erangel and Miramar for the first three phases, but the zones will close slower starting from phase 4, similar to Sahnok. We feel this leads to a good balance between strategy and gunplay throughout the duration of each match

Item Spawn Balance

  • The overall item spawn rate is at a midpoint between our maps – offering a unique place between the spawn rates of Erangel and Sahnok.
  • Level 3 helmets spawn in the world
  • Level 3 vests spawn more often than other maps
  • Smoke Grenades are spawned at a higher rate compared to other throwables

NEW AR: G36C

G36C spawns only in Vikendi

  • Chambered for 5.56mm ammo, it can load 30 bullets and 40 with an Extended Magazine
  • G36C has a lower and upper rail for attachments, but cannot attach a stock

NEW SIDEARM: SKORPION

Added a new handgun, the Skorpion

  • The Skorpion spawns on all maps
  • Single fire and full auto fire mode
  • Uses 9mm ammo, it can load up to 20 bullets and 40 with an Extended Magazine
  • Attachments:
    • Sight: Red dot sight
    • Muzzle: Suppressor
    • Lower Rail: Vertical Foregrip, Half Grip, Light Grip, Laser Sight
    • Stock: Stock for Micro UZI
    • Magazine: Extended Magazine only
  • Skorpion is also available in the Training Mode. Have fun!

NEW VEHICLE: SNOWMOBILE

  • Added a new vehicle – Snowmobile
  • The Snowmobile only spawns in Vikendi
  • It seats 2 players and performs much better than other vehicles on snow and ice, but is more difficult to drive on other terrain.

QoL

  • Minimap: Players can now further magnify the minimap
  • Player order consistency: Player order between the lobby and in-game is now consistent so that players will have fixed numbers and colors based on lobby order when they enter a game.

Gameplay

  • Decreased recoil of the P18C
  • Maximum number of Forward Running Sensitivity has changed from 50 to 100
    • The maximum value would stay the same, so if your Forward Running Sensitivity was 10, it will change to 20
    • This is to have a more specific value
  • Added auto-reload option
    • When enabled, you will reload weapons automatically when you try to fire while your magazine is empty
    • By default, this is set to “Off” but can be changed in the Gameplay menu

Performance

  • Improved the client performance by optimizing the creation of character materials
  • Improved performance by mitigating an issue causing thin objects to flicker.
  • Optimized particles in rainy weather.
  • Adjusted the parachute and character sync rate depending on the distance to improve server performance
  • Optimized weapon target calculation overhead.
  • Optimized culling logic of invisible instanced mesh.
  • Optimized overall character movement cost.
  • Reduced level streaming hitches.
  • Reduced physics creation hitches.

Report

  • Added the report player function to event mode games
  • Press ‘Triangle button’ to report the killer
  • When reporting someone who had team-killed you, there will be an option of reporting “Teamkill”
  • You cannot report the same player more than once in one game

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed the issue where players could sometimes climb stairs much faster while moving diagonally next to the wall.
  • Fixed the issue where a downed players’ character model would sometimes penetrate walls.
  • Fixed the issue where characters would look like they were sliding while standing up if they took out a weapon and stood up at the same time.
  • Fixed the issue where a player appeared to slide when standing up or moving while going prone before landing from a certain height.
  • Fixed the issue where some animations were cancelled when moving with certain steps
  • Fixed the issue where sometimes an enemy player was seen shooting with the weapon at the back of the character

  • Fixed the issue where a character’s animation would pop upward when getting close to the wheels of a buggy.
  • Fixed the issue of where a character’s animation would pop upward when crouching and standing up near a vehicle.
  • Fixed an issue where player couldn’t see his/her teammate’s character in lobby after a match intermittently
  • Fixed an issue where player couldn’t loot some items such as weapon or ammo on the ground
  • Fixed an issue causing a character to be headless when wearing certain skins
  • Fixed an issue where players could shoot in an abnormal direction in free-look
  • Fixed an issue where players could get into certain terrain of Miramar which should be impossible
  • Fixed an issue where player can stand up from a prone position faster than usual in certain conditions.
  • Fixed the issue where players could use weapons while swimming if they kept pushing the weapon equip button near rocks.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the screen to shake excessively when spectating an opponent who was firing a weapon.
  • Fixed the issue where when freefalling out of the plane and pressing particular movement keys, certain animations didn’t play correctly.
  • Fixed the issue where the footstep sounds of players moving at low speed (walking when crouching) was not played to other players.
  • Fixed an issue where the character’s footsteps couldn’t be heard when on carpet
  • Fixed the issue where when click the “Play” button, game was frozen in the lobby.
  • Fixed the issue where world map and wheel menu could be opened at the same time.
  • Fixed the issue where a spot at the back of the truck and buggy would block bullets.
  • Fixed the issue where when plane flew around you, the sound of plane was not played.

  • Fixed an issue where the quick marker was unable to remove while observing
  • Fixed an issue where the animation for equipping/unequipping the weapon was shown incorrectly after the observee stands up from prone while observing

  • Fixed an issue where the sound of emote played just before the round begins at the in-game lobby continued to play even after riding the plane
  • Fixed an issue where the camera passed through the door on certain angle when ADSing close to the door while holding a handgun

From Atari to Xbox: The Evolution of Video Game Graphics

Whether you’re an avid console gamer, an online player or simply like to play mobile games, games have become a part of almost all of our lives. It’s hard to believe that in the beginning, games started off as extremely simple 2D, pixelated things with about four different colours to offer, but that is where our journey begins today.

Early Gaming Graphics

Back in the 70s and early 80s, video games could only be found in the form of cabinets at arcades. Though they were simple graphics, they required a huge amount of processing power and only the biggest computers were able to deal with video games. Some particularly innovative games developers were even able to create graphics that mimicked 3D games, though they weren’t really true 3D. Even when the Atari 2600 was released in the 1980s, graphics were still usually 2D and extremely simple.

Nintendo, PlayStation & Mobile Games Enter the Scene

It wasn’t long before Nintendo – who had originally gone into business making playing cards– noticed the potential of home consoles. The company’s NES was a real game changer, offering much more realistic 8-bit graphics that really improved the player’s experience as you could make out what was happening a lot quicker than you could on Atari games. The Super Nintendo was even better, with 16-bit graphics that offered even more detail and a wider variety of colours.

PlayStation, meanwhile, kicked their consoles off with a 32-bit system which was extremely popular among gamers at the time. The PlayStation also encouraged Nintendo to up their game and soon the Nintendo 64 (with, you guessed it, 64-bit graphics) appeared on the market offering 3D graphics and really challenging other console companies to improve.

Online and mobile games were also beginning to appear around this era of the late 1990s. In 1998, Nokia released a 2D game known as Snake which swiftly became popular, while online casinos and poker platforms were already gaining popularity. By this time, computers by both Apple and Microsoft were able to handle many of the graphics that consoles did, if not more, and so PC and online gaming really began to attract avid gamers.

Modern Gaming Graphics

From there, gaming graphics continued to improve at an astonishing rate. It was clear from the Nintendo 64’s success that players wanted 3D graphics, so the GameCube, Xbox, PlayStation 2 and many other consoles all made sure they could handle that and much, much more. With every console generation, detailed graphics became increasingly important with big studios like Bethesda, Rockstar and Ubisoft working to create the photorealistic behemoths we know and love today.

Online games grew just as rapidly. Now, online games offer graphics on par with the big console titles, with casino slot games such as Thunderstruck, Game of Thrones and other iGaming offerings often handling graphics far superior to those we saw in the 70s, 80s or even the early 2000s. The same can be said for mobile games, with some of the most popular gaming titles in the world including Angry Birds and Bubble Witch being mobile apps.

These days, it’s clear that regardless of which sorts of games you play, be it console, PC, online or mobile, graphics are incredibly important. So, next time you’re playing Starburst or CoD, remember where those graphics all began and be thankful that we’ve come a long way since those early Atari 2600 days.

Battlefield V: DICE Explains Why Quitting a Game Takes So Long, Cites Map Loading as Main Cause

Have you ever finished a match in Battlefield V and wanted to back out? Chances are, that happens to everyone, right? Did you find that quitting in the game (not mid-match) but after a match in the progression screen takes so long? If so, you’re not the only one with this Battlefield 5 quit game issue, and DICE knows about it!

As part of the other day’s Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything), a user asked DICE if they can explain why it takes so long to quit a game, and here’s what Producer Jaqub Ajmal’s explanation:

As I understand it, the reason why it takes so long is because we already start to load in the next level on the end of round screen, and currently we have some technical limitations with aborting the load process. It’s something we of course would like to fix at some point but I do not have an ETA at the moment.

Yep, it’s mostly due to the map being loaded for the next match. No, it’s not DICE not wanting you to back out or anything nonsensical. Will it get fixed? Let’s hope so.

In other Battlefield V news, DICE admits that the game still has an enemy visibiltiy problem, which the studio is currently tweaking. If you want to learn more about Battlefield V’s netcode and why it feels inconsistent sometimes, go check out this in-depth look.

Update:

Here are the links for the US and EU versions of the theme!

The Last of Us Part II Burning Theme (US)

The Last of Us Part II Burning Theme (EU)

Original Story:

With the holidays right around the corner, it seems everyone is in a giving mood, and that includes Sony! In a press release, Sony has announced that a The Last of Us 2 PS4 theme is being given away for free right now on the Asia PlayStation Store!

If you’re wondering if you can download it and apply it to your “main” account (any region), yes you can and we’ll teach you how!

Called the “The Last of Us Part II Burning Car” theme, it’s a dynamic one that shows a burning car (duh!) complete with sound effects! Here’s what it looks like:

Description

Create a warm and inviting post-pandemic atmosphere with this new dynamic PS4™ system theme, featuring the burning car scene from the Paris Games Week 2017 trailer for The Last of Us™ Part II. It’s the perfect theme for the winter months and beyond,

Download link

PS4 owners can download it here, and it’s just 24MB. So how do create a PlayStation Store Asia account? We list it down step-by-step below:

Creating a Different Region PSN Account

What you’ll need before you begin: a real email address you already aren’t using with a PSN account and a valid address in the particular region. For the purposes of this tutorial, we will use Region 3.

1) Log out of your main account on your PS4.

2) Click “New User” from the following screen after logging out.

3) Click “Create a user” and agree to the Terms of Service.

4) Click “New to PSN? Create an account” at the bottom of the screen.

5) Click “Sign up now”

6) Choose country in your preferred region, and it’s easier if they use English primarily (most do so don’t worry).

7) Select language from the drop-down list available (Hong Kong/Singapore/Malaysia allows English).

8) Fill in your date of birth.

9) Fill in the requested city and zip code information. Here’s some sample addresses you can use ASAP:

Region 03 (Malaysia)
Address 1 – Jalan Subang 1,
City – Subang Jaya,
Postal Code – 47600
Country – Malaysia

Region 03 (Singapore)
Address 1 – 8 Sentosa Gateway,
City – Sentosa
Postal Code – 098269

10) Fill in a real email address and create a new password. Before you can redeem codes or make purchases in the PSN Store, you will have to verify the email address from your email account.

11) Create a brand new PSN ID and a name.

12) Accept the Terms of Service.

13) Verify your email.

Voila! You’re done! Initiate the download, go back to your “main” PS4 account, and apply the theme! That’s it.

As an added bonus, you can also use that account to snatch up any demos, or other stuff from the Asia PlayStation Store if you so wish.

If and when Sony US or EU gives it out, we’ll be sure to update the post to include the download links for that too.

Ubisoft Announces “For the Creed” Event for For Honor, Check Out the Trailer & Details

Remember that tease Ubisoft did yesterday regarding For Honor crossing over with the Assassin’s Creed franchise? Well, it’s official now. In a press release, Ubisoft has announced the “For the Creed” event!

For the Creed starts today, and will run until January 10, 2019 on all platforms. According to Ubisoft, this three-week event will “transform” the For Honor experience using the power of the Animus as players relive the lives of the game’s (For Honor) Heroes.

Abstergo has created a new gaming experience, called For The Creed, that utilizes the Animus to transport players to an age where the Knights, Vikings, Samurai and Wu Lin wage war on each other. For the duration of the event, players can enter a special variation of the 4v4 Dominion mode – Assassini e Templari, in which they must capture zones in order to lure commanders Ezio Auditore da Firenze and Cesare Borgia out to battle. Defeating commanders will give a team 300 points. The first team that reaches 1000 points and defeats the opposing team during the breaking period wins. Select game modes will be narrated by Warren Vidic, the director of the Animus Project at Abstergo Industries.

Aside from the mode, the For Honor world will get a slew of Assassin’s Creed-themed changes. Maps featured in the Assassin’s Creed Templar mode will include “iconography” and Animus “gliches” around the map while the soldiers will be themed around unique factions tied to the AC series. Players can also expect changes to the gameplay, as all drop attacks will include the Assassin’s Creed familiar “Leap of Faith” and air assassination animation. Even the game menus will be displayed through the Animus!

Additionally, For The Creed  brings a variety of Assassin’s Creed themed customization items. Players can customize each of their heroes with the Odyssey of the Misthios  Mask Outfits based on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, new Haystack Emote, Hidden Blade Execution, Animus Effects, Animus Battle Outfits, Assassin- and Templar-themed Elite Outfits and weapons from the Assassin’s Creed franchise Each Assassin’s Creed game logo will also be lootable by playing during the event. From December 20th until January 14th, players can pick up the For The Creed  bundles at 35,000 Steel per Hero. This price may differ based on what players have already unlocked from the bundle.

Battlefield V: DICE Addressing Enemy Visibility, Cites It’s a “Key Problem”

If you’re playing Battlefield V, chances are you’ve come across an instance or two where you can’t properly make out the enemy from the environment. If you have, you’re not alone, and DICE knows about the Battlefield 5 enemy visibility problem.

Over on Twitter, Multiplayer Producer David Sirland tweeted that DICE will address visibility, though they’re not bringing back “Doritos” (the old spotting system where each marked enemy had a little triangle like a Dorito on their heads) anytime soon.

We are going to address visibility – it’s a key problem area and priority. Not taking back Doritos any time soon tho, it’s nice being able to flank and having to check your corners etc. But it’s not nice not seeing someone you look straight at those times and on specific maps

As someone who has a hard time making out enemies from the environments, I approve of this change. How would you want DICE to fix it? Or do you feel that it’s part of the game and they shouldn’t touch it at all?

In other Battlefield V news, go check out the deep dive look at the game’s netcode to see why the time-to-kill is affected by the network. Don’t forget, there’s a holiday gift for players given by DICE as well, which you should definitely get.
