Warframe Studio Digital Extremes Donates Money to Australia Bushfire Funds

Regardless if you’re a Warframe player or not, this is some good news. Digital Extremes, the studio behind super successful free-to-play (F2P) shooter Warframe has made a sizable donation to a couple of Bushfire organizations to help out with the raging Australian bushfire calamity.

Not only that, but the studio also called on the community to help out as well. Digital Extremes made a $15,000 donation, and you can read their full announcement of it below.

Like many of you, we’re heartbroken by the devastation caused by recent and ongoing wildfires in Australia. Millions of acres of land have been destroyed. Thousands of families are left homeless and in desperate need of assistance, along with countless harmed and displaced animals.

We’ve made a $15,000 donation to both the Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund and the Bendigo Bank Bushfire Appeal. We encourage those who are able to donate to these or other organizations.

When allies of the Origin System are in trouble, Tenno rally to help. To bring awareness to this important cause, all Tenno can log in now to receive the Yooka Floof — a symbol of hope and compassion.

Together, we can help support the efforts of those fighting to rebuild and heal.

Digital Extremes isn’t the only studio helping out with the bushfire calamity, as Infinity Ward is also giving all proceeds from its Outback Relief Pack cosmetics DLC to the bushfire funds.

Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer Release Date Expected to Be After 2021

After announcing a delay of the main game, CD Projekt Red has also confirmed that fans should expect the Cyberpunk  2077 multiplayer release date to be after 2021.

Speaking in a press conference today to investors, CD Projekt Red took to answering a number of questions, one being whether it would be likely that we would see the multiplayer release date happening in 2021, in which Michał Nowakowski, CD Projekt’s Member of the Board and SVP of Business Development stated:

“Given the expected release of Cyberpunk 2077 in September, and speaking of a series of events we expect to occur after that date, 2021 appears unlikely as a release date for the Cyberpunk multiplayer,”

For some time now, CD Projekt Red had been teasing the idea of a multiplayer component to the main game, only to confirm last September that it would feature one. Many fans were divided on the idea as they felt that the project may have been taking away from the core single-player experience. Although, judging from the details revealed from today and the confirmation in the very same press conference that CD Projekt has another team working on yet another triple-A title in parallel to the smaller team behind the multiplayer, it does appear very unlikely that was the case. By the time the multiplayer releases, (assuming it’s 2022) the multiplayer component will have nearly 3 years of development behind it.

Hopefully, it turns out to be an excellent addition as this would be CD Projekt Red’s first real big take on a multiplayer experience title. Prior, they developed the Witcher Series, which also did see a spin-off Gwent card game title that had an online competitive multiplayer, although we would say it isn’t exactly in the same scope of that for Cyberpunk 2077.

For now, eager fans can look forward to September 17 as Cyberpunk 2077 will be launching that day on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Report: Marvel’s Avengers Steam Release Might Have Been Confirmed

In light of the recent delay announcement news, it would appear that Marvel’s Avengers Steam release is very much happening according to a recent website update.

Since the reveal of Marvels Avengers Square Enix has stated that the title would release on PC, however never clarified if it would be released on either Steam or have some sort of Epic Game Store exclusivity deal. Well, now at very least we now have confirmation that Marvels Avengers will release on Steam.

Over on the official Marvels Avengers webpage, a new platform has been added, showing that the game is also coming to Steam. It’s still not available to pre-order nor is there a Steam page, so this update could be accidental as currently the only way to get the PC version is through the Square Enix shop, and it’s physical to our understanding.

Square Enix has yet to officially announce Steam as an available platform for purchase on PC, and we’ve yet to know if it may come to Epic Game Store as well, so for now, take this as a rumor as it could very well be an accidental update on the page.

More Marvel’s Avengers Reading:

Delayed from its original release date of May, Crystal Dynamic’s Marvel’s Avengers is set to release on September 4 of this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC. Sometimes this year there will also be a playable Beta (playable on PlayStation 4 first,) though details on when have yet to be revealed. We’ll be sure to keep you all updated as always when new information comes out.

We’ve contacted Square Enix about this and will update the post if we get a statement.

PlayStation Files Patent for Gaming Controller With a Built-in Microphone

The latest gaming controller patent by Sony features abilities to take voice command and perform them on the console, similar to what is currently possible on the PlayStation 4.

In the PlayStation controller patent published (spotted by Reddit via Segmentnext) by the company today, it highlights a built-in microphone capable of taking voice commands while the system can interpret these and perform them. Along with this, it discusses the speaker that is also on the controller that has the capability of being suppressed when the microphone is in use, avoiding any kind of interferences from additional controller sounds.

The scope of the claims

1.
A controller device held by a user’s hand , comprising a microphone , a tactile presentation device for presenting a tactile sensation to the user’s hand, and a speaker, while the user is inputting voice from the microphone, the speaker A controller device which suppresses a sound of the haptic device and controls haptic presentation by the haptic device.
2. The controller device according to claim 1, wherein a low-pass filter is applied to a vibration waveform representing a haptic sense presented by the haptic sense presentation device while the user is inputting voice from the microphone. A controller device for controlling the tactile presentation device based on the vibration waveform after applying the filter.
3. The controller device according to claim 1, wherein the tactile presentation device includes a voice coil motor. A method of controlling a controller device held by a user’s hand, wherein the controller device includes a microphone, a tactile presentation device that presents a tactile sensation to a user’s hand, and a speaker, wherein the controller device is configured to allow a user A control method of a controller device, wherein while the voice is being input, the sound of the speaker is suppressed, and the controller device is controlled so as to perform the tactile presentation control by the tactile presentation device.

Down below is a diagram of the controller, however, the Patent does state that this is only an example, meaning it shouldn’t be taken as a look at how the Dualshock 5 (assuming this is related) will end up looking like.

We mentioned that the PlayStation 4 is capable of taking voice commands, which for those that were not aware, is entirely possible when a headset is connected to the console. The system can take set commands, all starting with “Playstation” followed by an action. It’s a neat feature, though for us we rarely use it as the majority of the time our headsets are in use with party chat. Adding the feature to the actual controller would certainly be a great quality of life improvement for the system, and perhaps it could potentially be used for party chat? We aren’t sure about that last bit, though it would certainly help get voice communication in the hands of many online gamers.

Hunt Showdown PS4 Release Date Set for Next Month, Crossplay Planned

After initially launching on PC and Xbox One last year, Crytek Games has finally revealed the Hunt Showdown PS4 release date, and it’s due next month!

In a press release detailing a new publisher deal between Crytek and Koch Media, it was revealed that the Hunt Showdown PS4 release date would be happening on February 18 of this year. Alongside the PS4 release, a physical version of the game will also be releasing for the Xbox One the same day.

With the release of the PlayStation 4 version, Crytek and Koch media plan for some lengthy post-launch support as the prep for the release of their 1.2 update. The update is set to introduce random teams of three, an advanced tutorial, new Legendary Hunters, and new equipment and weapons. Along with new content, the team will also be addressing several bug fixes and some server-side performance improvements.

The press release also highlighted that looking ahead towards future updates, players can expect Solo PvE mode, live-events, outfit customization, and a new map. The biggest feature, however, appears to be the inclusion of cross-play between Xbox and PlayStation, though they didn’t state as to when we could expect to see this added.

For those who don’t know, Hunt: Showdown is a competitive first-person PvP bounty hunting game that features PvE elements. You can watch the launch trailer down below and read up on the game’s synopsis.

You and your partner are members of a secret hunting society that tracks and kills creatures. The bounties are high, but so are the risks. The smallest mistake will cost you everything—your bounty, your gear, your life, and your very soul.

Some hunt for wealth, some for power. Some hunt to protect others, some hunt for glory. You must track your quarry through a dark and treacherous world. Winner takes all. Fail, and go straight to hell.

Hunt: Showdown originally launched last year on the PC and Xbox One and opened up to generally positive reviews. It currently sits at an average of 81% on metacritics.

Destiny 2 Update Today Now Live, Here’s What’s in Hotfix 2.7.0.2 (Update)

With today’s Destiny 2 maintenance now over, Bungie has rolled out Destiny 2 hotfix 2.7.0.2! There’s no file to actually download, which means it’s a server-side fix. That said, there are a few changes include in this Destiny 2 update today, and here are the known changes.

Destiny 2 hotfix 2.7.0.2 patch notes (via Bungie):

COMBAT SYSTEMS

  • Fixed an issue where Wish-Ender’s Broadhead perk was dealing more damage than intended
  • Equipping both a Fusion Rifle Scavenger mod and a Linear Fusion Scavenger mod will no longer cause Heavy ammo to be gained from Special ammo boxes
  • Using Telesto with the Heavy Handed obelisk mod will no longer generate unintentional extra Special ammo

ACTIVITIES

  • Fixed an issue that would cause the EDZ Obelisk interact component to despawn

REWARDS

  • Fixed an issue that could cause the Sundial reward currency to be issued to players twice

EVERVERSE

  • Eververse waypoint notification has been disabled
  • The Season 9 Seasonal Starter Bundle will no longer appear as owned for players who bought the Season 8 Seasonal Starter Bundle

BOUNTIES

  • Gunsmith weekly destination bounty will be re-enabled and properly rotate weekly (instead of daily)
  • Crucible daily bounties will now rotate daily

Thanks to the Destiny 2 community, here are the known fixes in the Destiny 2 update today (Destiny 2 hotfix 2.7.0.2):

  • EDZ obelisk will work properly
  • Eververse will stop flashing
  • Wish Ender will do normal damage again

Per Bungie’s reply:

This will be fixed in next weeks update.

I fully understand this will bring some negative feelings to players, as they enjoyed the unintentional increase to damage. We’ve brought this feedback to the team, which could be considered for future updates when looking at Bows overall.

Again, not a promise, but wanted to give more info.

Note that this isn’t the full list of changes, and listed below are some of the known issues Bungie is tracking:

  • The Leviathan’s Breath Exotic Bow currently cannot be acquired due to an issue with ‘The Arms Dealer’ strike where it can only be completed in Season 8.
  • The Tower Obelisk can sometimes not be accessed. Players encountering this should return to orbit and launch back in to The Tower.
  • The Giddy Laugh emote keeps loading in the Emote Collection and can’t be unequipped if slotted.

If ever the studio releases the full hotfix changes, we’ll update the post.

Don’t forget to check out this week’s Destiny 2 weekly reset of activities and rewards here.

Overwatch Update 2.81 Now Out, Brings Lunar Year Skins & Changes

Blizzard Entertainment has released the first Overwatch patch of 2020 and it’s now live on all platforms! Overwatch update 2.81 brings bug fixes, spectate and replay updates, a feature update, and of course, hero balance changes. Read on below for the full Overwatch update 2.81 patch notes.

In addition to the gameplay changes, Blizzard is also welcoming in the Lunar New Year with new legendary skins, and a brand new game mode called Blitz CTF! Read up on that right here.

Overwatch update 2.81 patch notes

GENERAL UPDATES

Feature Update: Party Flex for Role Queue

Unsure of which role you want to play? Now, party members who queue for any game mode with Role Queue enabled can select multiple roles, indicating what they’re willing to play in the next game.

Your other party members’ role choices and Competitive Play skill ratings may affect which roles you are eligible to choose, or which role you can play. For example, if you selected all three roles (Tank, Damage, Healing) to indicate your willingness to play any of them, and then two other party members choose Support, you will not get to play Support in the next game.

Custom Game Options

The Lobby section of Custom Game Settings has a new option “Data Center Preference”. This option provides the game creator with more control over where the game will be hosted. The default “Best Available” choice automatically provides the creator with the best quality connection available to them. We only suggest choosing a specific datacenter if no single datacenter can simultaneously provide the best connection to all players. This is usually only the case when the players participating in the custom game are located in different geographic regions of the world.

Spectate and Replay Updates

  • Added a new hotkey, “Spectate toggle 3P camera side”, which changes the shoulder you’re looking over for the player you’re spectating while using the simple third-person spectator camera option
  • Added a new hotkey, “Toggle normal / simple 3P spectator camera”, which toggles between the two third-person camera modes while spectating
  • Updated the death camera to quickly shift from where you were looking to where your killer is, to make it easier to see if you were killed by someone behind you or to your side
  • Updated the simple third-person spectator camera position for several heroes to have them cover less of the screen
  • Fixed an issue that caused zooming in and out while in the simple third-person camera to appear choppy
  • Transitioning into or out of first person no longer causes the camera to clip inside the hero’s head
  • Fixed several camera smoothness and popping issues

HERO UPDATES

Baptiste

Immortality Field

  • Maximum duration reduced from 8 to 5 seconds
  • Cooldown increased from 20 to 25 seconds

Amplification Matrix

  • Ultimate cost increased by 20%

Developer Comment: Immortality Field ended up being too powerful when placed in locations that were safe from enemy fire, such as around corners. Reducing its uptime will help address this case while remaining strong at saving teammates out in the open.

Mei

Endothermic Blaster (Primary Fire)

  • Slowing effect now reduces enemy movement speed from 20-70%, down from 30-90%
  • Slowing effect duration reduced from 1.5 to 1.0 second

Developer Comment: The slowing effect of Mei’s primary fire can sometimes feel too difficult to escape. Lowering the amount it slows by and the duration it lasts for will make it easier to react to. The time required to completely freeze a target remains the same.

D.Va

Boosters

  • Cooldown decreased from 5 to 3 seconds

Developer Comment: The lower cooldown on her mobility will enable D.Va to more readily swap between playing offensively and defensively.

Orisa

Fortify

  • Damage reduction reduced from 50% to 40%

Developer Comment: Orisa has been a little too difficult to deal with while Fortify is active, so we’re reducing the amount of damage reduction to give enemies more effective damage during this time.

Hanzo

Storm Bow (Primary Fire)

  • Maximum projectile speed reduced from 125 to 110

Developer Comment: The increased projectile speed Hanzo received in his rework ended up making his arrows too good at longer ranges. Decreasing the speed will reduce his sniping capability while still keeping him strong at mid-range.

Doomfist

Rising Uppercut

  • Recovery time increased from 0.2 to 0.35 seconds

Developer Comment: Rising Uppercut followed immediately by his primary fire is a little too effective of a combo on its own, so we’re increasing the time enemies have to react to it.

BUG FIXES

General

  • Fixed a bug that caused toggle crouch to work inconsistently when high precision mouse input is enabled
  • Fixed a bug that caused a small number of games containing very high-skill players to have greatly reduced SR gains and losses
  • Workshop
    • Fixed an issue preventing Go To Assemble Heroes from working in Assault and Hybrid
    • Fixed an issue preventing Sombra Dummy Bots from being able to hack health packs

Maps

Temple of Anubis

  • Fixed a bug where some heroes could get stuck behind one of the rocks outside of point B

Eichenwalde

  • Fixed a bug that could cause Wrecking Ball to become temporarily stuck when using his Piledriver in a specific location
  • Fixed a location where Doomfist could get stuck

Junkertown

  • Fixed a bug that allowed some players to stand on a wall near the final checkpoint
  • Fixed a bug that allowed Sombra’s Translocator and Baptiste’s Immortality Field to land in an unintended place between the stairs and wall near point A

Dorado

  • Fixed a bug that caused the ivy growing on the wall between points A and B to block projectiles

Rialto

  • Fixed a bug that could cause Winston and Sigma to become stuck between the wall, bridge, and gondola outside of Point A

Watchpoint: Gibraltar

  • Fixed a bug that caused Baptiste’s Immortality Field to disappear when thrown in a specific spot outside of the first Attacker’s spawn

Heroes

Baptiste

  • Fixed a bug that could cause Immortality Field to not deploy or get destroyed while deploying in some situations

Mercy

  • Fixed a bug that caused Mercy’s gold staff and pistol to disappear while using Valkyrie when viewing in 3rd person

Tracer

  • Fixed a bug allowing players to swap heroes while using Recall

Sigma

  • Fixed a bug that could cause Sigma’s shield to fail to deploy

Symmetra

  • Fixed a bug where destroying Symmetra’s teleporter during construction briefly allowed her to make another without going on cooldown

PlanetSide 2 Update 2.14 Now Out, Brings Empire Strength Update

Those playing Daybreak Games’ sci-fi freet-to-play shooter PlanetSide 2, you might want to hop in today and download the new patch! PlanetSide 2 update 2.14 is now live and it brings the Empire Strength content to the table! Check out the full PlanetSide 2 update 2.14 patch notes below.

PlanetSide 2 update 2.14 patch notes:

Continent Rotation and Empire Strength

Territory now matters at all times, as each empire gains strength when key facilities are captured, and when continent events are won.
When a faction reaches 100 Empire Strength or more, a Meltdown alert fires off (provided no other events are currently active,) and the victorious faction will lock the continent.

Gaining/losing Empire Strength is as follows:

  • Maintaining a link to an enemy Warpgate is worth 50 strength, (both is 100 strength.)
  • Maintaining ownership of the center base is worth 15 strength (or 30 on Esamir).
  • Maintaining ownership of a major facility is worth 15 strength (or 20 on Esamir).
  • Each continent-event win is worth 10 strength, and is the only permanent form of Empire Strength.
  • Cutoff territories do not contribute to Empire Strength.

Prior to this change, continents were standardized at 3 continent events (like Aerial Anomalies, Maximum Pressure, Gaining Ground,) before requiring 41% territory control from a single faction in order to trigger an end-of-continent Meltdown alert. With this update, factions can force continents to turn over more quickly by completing strategic map goals, and continent event wins will progress players toward the final battle over a continent.

Koltyr

  • Koltyr has been disabled for the time being, and will be re-introduced as a standard combat zone at a later date.

Dev Note: Koltyr has been in kind of a weird spot, in addition to being plagued with technical issues. As a VR zone, it often stood as more confusing for new players than helpful as its intended testing ground. In a future update we’ll be converting Koltyr to a standard combat continent that opens and closes during off-peak hours. This should help reduce the frustration of finding and sustaining combat in times of low population, and add some gameplay variety for our nocturnal players.

Infantry
T7 Mini-Chaingun (Terran Republic Heavy Weapon)

  • Minimum refire rate from 100ms to 80ms.
  • Maximum refire rate from 75ms to 71ms.
  • Ballistic Rapid Refire Toggle no longer reduces maximum refire rate (as that’s now built in by default.)
  • Ballistic Rapid Refire Toggle no longer has a hidden projectile speed benefit.

Dev Note: Always treated like a support weapon, but without the traits that make it successful as one (most support weapons sacrifice damage for accuracy or splash damage,) the Mini-chaingun is hard to justify bringing onto the battlefield over other LMG options. This update offers a significant boost to its 1v1 potential, and increases its overall ferocity.

Revive Grenade (Combat Medic)

  • Reduce detonation time by 1 second to increase responsiveness.
  • The thrower no longer receives a UI notification in an attempt to revive yourself.
  • NSO Defector units are no longer revivable with Revive Grenades.

Proximity Mine(NSO Engineer/Infiltrator utility)

  • Renamed “F.U.S.E.”
  • Fixed medal tracking issues.
  • Refunded skill lines associated with these mines.
  • Now works with Mine Carrier suit slot.

Tank Mine (NSO Engineer)

  • Fixed medal tracking issues.
  • Refunded skill line associated with these mines.
  • Now works with Mine Carrier suit slot.

MAX and Defector
Nanite Auto-Repair (Defensive Slot)

  • Repair from 0.5/0.75/1/1.25/1.5% health restored per second to 1/2/2.5/2.75/3% health restored per second.

Dev Note: Rarely in competition Kinetic Armor and Ordnance Armor, Nanite Auto-Repair has received a buff.

Defector (NSO Infantry Unit)
General

  • NSO Defector units are no longer revivable with Revive Grenades. (As mentioned above.)
  • We’ve decided to let Defectors continue to contest capture points for the time being.
  • Defectors now receive the Maximum Pressure event discount.
  • You can now hear this unit’s footsteps in first person.
  • Adjusted Defector’s loadout screen camera.
  • Fixed various animation-related issues.

Weapons
Grenade Printer (Primary Weapon)

  • Grenade Printer’s cooldown speed increased by 20%.
  • Weapons medals are now properly tracked.
  • Mini-map firing signature from 1 to 60.

Defector Claws(Melee Weapon)

  • Now earns weapon medals.

Abilities
Time Bomb

  • Time Bomb’s movement speed penalty from 25% to 10%.

Seraph Shield

  • Now has new audio.
  • Seraph Shield can now be toggled off manually.
  • Seraph Shield movement speed penalty from 50% to 40%.
  • Seraph Shield duration from 8 seconds at all ranks to 8/10/11/12 seconds at ranks 1 through 4.

Defensive Slot

Ablation Mesh

  • New Defensive Slot Certification
  • When Time Bomb or Seraph Shield are first activated, the damage mitigation received from those abilities is increased by 50% for 2 seconds.

Hypermatic Servos

  • New Defensive Slot Certification
  • Removes the movement speed penalty of Time Bomb, and reduces the movement speed penalty of Seraph Shield to 25%. In addition, you accelerate into a sprint more quickly at all times.

Javelin (NSO Ground Vehicle)
General

  • Vehicle terminal cost from 200 Nanites to 100 Nanites.
  • Javelin now uses its own experience type, instead of the Flash’s to award experience.
  • Using a repair tool on the Javelin will now show particle effects in the correct location.
  • Spitfire Turrets will now fire at riders.
  • Vehicle now bounces less while moving along rough terrain, is slightly less prone to nose-up while airborne, and is all around a bit more stable.

Performance Slot

  • Speed Chassis now increases afterburner fuel recharge by 30%.
  • Combat Chassis now allows greater control of side to side movement while afterburner is engaged.
  • Agility Chassis now provides lift from the ground when the afterburner is engaged.

Dev Note: We’ve made some adjustments to the chassis options to more dramatically alter how each of them makes the Javelin performs.

Misc. Fixes, Changes, and Additions

  • NSO’s Tankbuster Nosegun (Liberator) now correctly tracks directives.
  • NSO’s Zephyr Bellygun (Liberator) now correctly tracks directives.
  • NSO’s Shredder Bellygun (Liberator) now correctly tracks directives.
  • NSO’s Dalton Bellygun (Liberator) now correctly tracks directives.
  • NSO’s LB00 Python (Lightning Main Cannon) now correctly tracks directives.
  • NS-W Survivor weapon medals can now be earned.
  • SR-200’s Tier 3 Long Rifle directive no longer requires an Auraxium Medal, instead of a Gold Medal.
  • Fixed an issue where removing camo in the UI selector would not remove it from your character in-game.
  • Locked continents should no longer show unstable icons from the map dropdown.
  • Nano-Armor Kits and Medical Applicators granted from the Third-Year Anniversary bundle now work correctly on NSO characters.
  • NS-03 Thumper and MGR-A1 Vanquisher’s Disruptor Ammunition no longer saps energy from vehicles.
  • Fixed additional edge cases related to falling through the floor.

Daybreak also announced that they will hold a livestream later this month to talk about the “hush-hush-super-secret stuf” they’re working on. Once we know the livestream date, we’ll let our readers know.

Cyberpunk 2077 Delayed to September 2020

Following news that both Marvel’s Avengers and Final Fantasy 7 Remake have been delayed, it seems another high profile game is joining the file. CD Projekt RED has made the Cyberpunk 2077 delayed announcement today, with the new Cyberpunk 2077 release date set for September 17, 2020.

The letter from CD Projekt RED reads:

We have important news regarding Cyberpunk 2077’s release date we’d like to share with you today.

Cyberpunk 2077 won’t make the April release window and we’re moving the launch date to September 17, 2020.

We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there’s still work to be done. Night City is massive — full of stories, content and places to visit, but due to the sheer scale and complexity of it all, we need more time to finish playtesting, fixing and polishing. We want Cyberpunk 2077 to be our crowning achievement for this generation and postponing launch will give us the precious months we need to make the game perfect.

Expect more regular updates on progress as we get closer to the new release date.

We’re really looking forward to seeing you in Night City, thank you for your ongoing support!

Will this delay mean that the Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer mode will be available at launch? We can’t say for sure, but here’s to hoping.

Fortnite Update 2.53 Sneaks Out, Here’s What v11.40.1 Does

While we just got Fortnite update v11.40 yesterday, Epic Games has released a new Fortnite patch for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac and Android, and it’s live now! Called The Fortnite v11.40.1 patch, console gamers will see this as Fortnite update 2.53, and as one can expect, it’s a small download primarily for bug fixes.

Fortnite update 2.53 – Here’s What It Does:

No official patch notes has been released, but Battle Royale players will be glad to know that this fixes the “shoot through buildings” bug.

As Reddit user oldmanlight put it:

probably the “bug”/feature where they changed the ramp hit boxes to allow players to shoot through the holes. My thought is it was a half baked feature not ready for live and someone messed up.

Unfortunately, this new patch has still not fixed the graphics bug plaguing Save the World mode (and is also in Battle Royale).

Also, it seems Save the World got a stealth nerf too! Reddit user FlopSlurper had this to say:

The peglegs you get from PL140 dungeons are PL91. And apparently they limited the number of stacks for grenades and coconuts but that for me wasn’t the case.

Reddit user Pyroxylin added this as well:

In Dungeons, they lowered the PL of the Peg Leg from 130 to 90ish, nades and coconuts only stack to 8 instead of 200

So far, those are the only changes we’ve dug up so far. If you notice any other changes, let us know down in the comments and we’ll update the post, or email us.

Nintendo Switch and iOS gamers, Epic Games mentioned that this patch will be deployed for those platforms too. So sit tight.

Mortal Kombat 11 Joker Teasers Release Ahead of Gameplay Reveal

The Mortal Kombat 11 Joker full reveal is nearly upon us as the team at Nethearealms Studio has released a series of character teases.

First up is the tease by NetherRealms confirming that the character will be showcased during tomorrow’s Kombat Kast.

Series creator Ed Boon also tweeted out earlier this week with a small glimpse of what may appear to be one of Joker’s fatalities.

We are likely to see some live gameplay of the character in addition to the actual gameplay trailer.  Along with these two teases, the official PlayStation 4 Event page (access via PlayStation 4 console) also gives us a synopsis of the character’s background, which you can read up below.

“Unpredictable, violent and incredibly dangerous, The Joker is chaos personified. He’s killed a Robin, crippled Batgirl and tortured and murdered countless people throughout the DC Universe. And now, he’s the latest Kombatant to join in Mortal Kombat”

The Joker will be available for early access (Kombat Pass 1 holders) on January 28. Players who don’t own the Kombat Pass, The Joker will be available as a standalone purchase on February 4 for $5.99.

As noted, there will also be a Kombat Kast Stream tomorrow to showcase the character, although much like previous streams we expect plenty of new information concerning upcoming fixes and character tweaks in the patch leading to The Joker’s release.

Disintegration Multiplayer Beta Sign-Ups Are Now Live

Private Division has just announced that the Disintegration multiplayer beta test sign-ups are finally live.

You can sign-up for the Disintegration multiplayer beta test using this link here for any platform of your choice (PlayStation 4, Pc, & Xbox One): Disintegration Multiplayer Beta. The Beta will run at the end of this month for two full days as listed below.
Jan 28, 2020 | 8am PT-11:59pm PT
Jan 29, 2020 | 8am PT-11:59pm PT

Announced during last year’s E3, Disintegration is a multiplayer shooter developed by the small team, V1 Interactive. V1 consists of 30 members, both new and long-time AAA game developers and was founded by co-creators of the Halo and Socom franchise. You can catch the reveal trailer down below along with some actual gameplay footage.

About the game

In Earth’s near future, climate extremes, overpopulation, food shortages, and a global pandemic led to nations collapsing and humankind on the brink of extinction.

Scientists adopted a means in which the human brain was removed and surgically encased into a robotic armature; a process known as Integration. It was meant to be a temporary solution to an unavoidable crisis.

It was a good thing for decades, allowing humans to survive. But some of the Integrated saw this new form as the future of humanity.

With no desire to reverse the process, the post-humanist Integrated stratified, calling themselves the Rayonne. Global war soon erupted, and Rayonne forces now seek to hunt down any remaining humans, forcing their integration, and destroying those who don’t share their views.

In Disintegration, you play an Integrated character named Romer. He’s one of many who rebelled and are now outlawed by the Rayonne.

It’s up to you to lead a small group of these Outlaws, people who have chosen to fight back and survive, into a brighter future where we protect those they care about and hope to one day become human again.

Disintegration Recommended PC Specs for the Beta

NVIDIA

  • CPU | i5 5TH GENERATION
  • GPU | GTX 970
  • RAM | 8GB
  • RESOLUTION | 1920X1080

AMD

  • CPU | RYZEN 5 1600
  • GPU | RX 480
  • RAM | 8GB
  • RESOLUTION | 1920X1080

We’ll be giving away beta codes for Disintegration very soon, so keep an eye out for that.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order Update 1.07 Force Pushed Out, Here’s What’s New

Respawn Entertainment has released a new Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order update, and it’s a small one. Clocking in at just 180MB, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order update 1.07 includes gameplay fixes, and even new content in the form of pre-order content now available to everyone! Check out the Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order update 1.07 patch notes below.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order update 1.07 patch notes:

Fixes & Improvements
  • We’ve fixed an issue where Bounty Hunters would sometimes get stuck in Zeffo.

  • Not only was the Photomode camera able to explode rockets, it could interact with trigger volumes within the levels that could potentially break the game. We’ve fixed this to ensure that you can continue playing the game after using Photomode. Unfortunately, this also means that rockets will be unaffected by the camera moving forward.

  • There was a bug that was causing one of the elevators in the last level to have a tendency of disappearing. It should now be present at all times.

  • We’ve improved collision on Ilum.

  • Our language translations have been updated.

  • There was an issue where some text was overlapping in Photomode for specific screen ratios. That has been fixed.

  • The Albino Wyyyschokk tactical guide entry wasn’t appearing for all users, this should now be fixed.

  • We’ve fixed Gorgara having a tendency to disappear at specific times on Dathomir.

Content
  • Pre-order content has now been unlocked for all players. This content includes:

    • Orange Lightsaber Blade Color

    • Mygeeto Campaign Lightsaber Hilt

    • Umbaran Campaign Lightsaber Hilt

    • Bee-D-1 Skin

    • Gold Squadron Stinger Mantis Skin

Yes, that means all players can now use the orange lightsaber color! That’s a good way to start the year for Star Wars fans, no?

In case you haven’t bought it yet, go check out our review and see why we consider it one of the year’s best games.

Modern Warfare Season 1 End Date Extended, New Weapon Incoming

If you’re still cramming to complete challenges and whatnot in Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare before it’s over, you can relax a bit as Infinity Ward has announced that the Modern Warfare Season 1 end date has been extended, and there’s even new stuff incoming soon!

Infinity Ward has announced that the Season 1 of Modern Warfare has been extended until February 11, 2020! Not only that, but remember when Infinity Ward teased a crossbow weapon for the game? Well, it’s coming soon in the form of an in-game challenge!

Here’s the studio’s announcement in full:

Over the next few weeks, a host of new items and challenges will arrive, including an in-game Challenge to earn the new Crossbow weapon, more remixed game modes, new playlists, and more in the Store to discover. To make room for all that activity, we are making a one-time extension of Season One – it’s now ending on February 11. During that time, there will be 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X Tier Progression to help you finish up your Officer Ranks and Tiers, and get you ready for an exciting Season Two.

Hopefully, we’ll still get a big patch this January even if Season 1 ends at a later date. Don’t forget, we should be getting more news and announcements from Infinity Ward this week according to the studio.
