Another Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Hands-On Event Has Allegedly Happened Again

Before Call of Duty 2019 was officially known as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, word got out that multiple US athletes were invited to try the game out at a private event. Well, it seems this Modern Warfare event has happened yet again.

Over on Reddit, a user who goes by the name  PassiveIllustration, claimed that he was invited by a friend who got invited to play Modern Warfare multiplayer. It was 2v2, and first to six (I assume meant six kills) wins. The user also posted a pic of the event, which has now been pulled (along with his Reddit post).

Adding credibility to this user’s claims are pics of NBA Draft hopefuls who were invited to try the game out this week. Check out the tweet by CharlieIntel below where the players can be seen thanking Activison and tagging themselves as a “Call of Duty Partner.”

While celebrities being able to play games ahead of everyone else is the norm these days, what’s baffling here is, we still haven’t seen a second of multiplayer gameplay, yet athletes and such already have played it.

Is this smart marketing by Activision? Your guess is as good as mine. I mean, the Call of Duty brand is super well known at this point, and it already has a solid fan base. Could these athletes pull in more newcomers to the franchise? Let us know your thoughts below.

Hopefully, this means that we’re close to getting some actual multiplayer gameplay footage real soon.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Hits Top Spot in Most Pre-Ordered GameStop Title During E3 Week

While we didn’t see any new gameplay footage of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare at this year’s E3 (which is a first), that hasn’t stopped Infinity Ward’s upcoming shooter to snag enough interest to make it the most pre-ordered title at GameStop during E3 week.

While no actual Modern Warfare pre-order numbers were mentioned, GameStop revealed the top 10 games based on “customer demand,” which you can check out below.

The following top 10 videogames were revealed or confirmed during E3 and are listed in pre-order ranking from GameStop’s database:

  1. Call of Duty Modern Warfare (10-25-19)
  2. Pokemon Sword/Shield (11-15-19)
  3. Final Fantasy VII Remake (3-3-20)
  4. Cyberpunk 2077 (4-16-20)
  5. Borderlands 3 (9-13-19)
  6. Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening (Switch) (9-20-19)
  7. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (11-15-19)
  8. Gears 5 (9-6-19)
  9. Super Mario Maker 2 (6-28-19)
  10. Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled (6-21-19)

Given how highly anticipated games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake are in that list, that’s one impressive feat by Modern Warfare, no? Let’s hope we get multiplayer gameplay soon since it’ll be out in a few months’ time.

In the meantime, go check out our first multiplayer screenshots that came from E3.

Upcoming Destiny 2 Eververse Changes Coming This Fall Outlined by Bungie

With Bungie’s big Destiny 2 changes announced a few weeks ago, Bungie is also going to do some big upcoming Destiny 2 Eververse changes that are set to come this fall. While the studio has already made big changes to the Eververse store with its redesign, and more, Bungie isn’t stopping there.

Out this September 17, there are changes to dismantling, armor and lots more. Check out the recap below.

First, here’s the tl; dr recap (via Bungie):

On September 17, 2019:
  • All Eververse armor (new and armor you’ve already acquired!) is being converted into Universal Ornaments
  • Universal Ornaments can be attached to any newly acquired Legendary armor
  • Bright Dust is going to come from doing bounties, not dismantling things you spent money on
  • Eververse items can now be pulled from your Collections with Glimmer/Legendary Shards instead of Bright Dust
Before September 17, 2019:
  • Dismantle all of your unused Eververse items to maximize your Bright Dust reserves

Armor

As of this September, all Eververse armor is being converted into Universal Ornaments. These Universal Ornaments can be applied to all of the Legendary armor sets we’re releasing this Fall. They override the look of your equipped gear while preserving the perks, mods, and stats of the original item.
Any Eververse Armor you have acquired in your Collections will have its Universal Ornaments automatically unlocked for use on new Legendary armor. For example, if the song in your heart is to have your Titan roll with the 2018 Tin Man-esque Festival of the Lost Helmet, you can put it on any of the new Legendary armor coming to the game this fall.

Evolving Bright Dust

This Fall we’re changing Bright Dust from a pay- and/or play-to-earn currency to a play-to-earn reward. We’re adding Bright Dust as a reward for completing Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit bounties. We want all players to earn Dust for playing, not for spending money and destroying a bunch of items in their inventory. After you complete all your bounties for the week, there will be an additional avenue to keep grinding out Bright Dust.
It’s also been pretty uncool to go to the Collection screen and spend Bright Dust to get shaders or Ghost Shells or whatever. We’re going to fix that too. Beginning September 17, Eververse items in your Collections will cost Glimmer and Legendary Shards. If you want to keep pulling out that Exotic Sparrow that looks like a motorcycle until you get the good Sparrow perk (Instant Summon), you can do that with Legendary Shards and Glimmer.

Changes to Dismantling Eververse Items

Lastly, because we are changing the cost of pulling things out of the Collections, Eververse items will no longer dismantle into Bright Dust. This Fall, Eververse items will dismantle into Legendary Shards and Glimmer.
However, that means right now the absolute best thing you can do with all the Eververse items you don’t use regularly—armor, Sparrows, shaders, Ghost Shells, transmat effects—is dismantle them. Sitting on a pile of Midnight Talons or Metro Shift from your Year 1 stockpiles? Shard ’em for Dust.
That’s right! Everything must go—dismantle the extra stuff you have in your inventory, build up a huge amount of Bright Dust, and spend it on sweet stuff as it rolls through the Eververse store—because on September 17, everything changes.
Those aren’t bad changes, right? For more on Destiny 2, make sure to bookmark our game hub.

Report: Huge Batch of Mortal Kombat 11 New Skins Leaked

While Mortal Kombat 11 fans are no doubt looking forward to DLC characters more than anything else in terms of new content, there’s also a lot of people looking forward to Mortal Kombat 11 new skins DLC since it gives them an added layer of personalization when they play online multiplayer.

Well, it seems we just got a TON of new Mortal Kombat 11 skins leaked today via datamining. Thanks to the Mortal Kombat 11 fan Murdoink, we see a bunch of Mortal Kombat 11 new skins leaked for almost every character. Allegedly, the leaked skins showcased below are for future Kombat Pack skins, and future Kombat League skins (Kombat League is now a thing in case you didn’t know).

based on the leak, here’s how many skins each character got:

Erron 4
Jacqui 2
Jade 6
Kitana 8
Kollector 2
Kung Lao 2
Liu Kang 2
Noob 4
Raiden 2
Scorpion 6
Skarlet 6
Sub-Zero 4

As Mortal Kombat 11 players might see, some of the skins in the image are already available, with some of the classic ones for the female characters set to become available soon.

Note that none of the skins featured have been confirmed, and are from datamined info. So don’t take these as officially official, but given they are in the game files, we’re expecting them to show up at one point or another.

DayZ PS4 Review – Keeping the Dead Buried

A very long time after the original announcement at E3 years ago, DayZ has finally hit Sony’s PS4. I have a rather long history with the franchise going back to its origins on PC. At the time, it was an Arma mod that gained a huge popularity in the gaming community. It essentially created a new genre in a lot of ways. Now DayZ is a standalone title that has been in the making for a quite a long while, and the biggest question is if the series has enough legs today to stand up to the competition it’s inspired over the years? Read up on our DayZ PS4 review to find it what we think of it below.

Survive at All Costs

For those that are unaware, DayZ is a survival zombie multiplayer experience. There is no story, there is no offline or single-player. This is all about the player, jumping into a world that wants to kill you along with the other players. Do you decide to survive in the woods, scrounge for supplies? Keep to the outskirts? Or perhaps head towards the biggest city, looking for the best loot and gear to find? The choices is up to the player and there is no exactly right or wrong way to experience DayZ. Freedom of choice doesn’t mean fun in all cases though.

DayZ can be played in first or third-person and visually, its the best it’s looked. The standalone game has come a long way from its mod origins, and that’s great, but it still has a hard time competing with more current titles. There are moments where the game definitely shines. Having said that, there are plenty of times the game comes off looking a bit ugly to put it mildly.  Add in some severe cases of texture pop in, and the game already gives a bad first impression upon starting it up.

With little to guide players, they do have a bare bones instructional manual style tutorial. I’ll say, first-time players might feel a little overwhelmed here. Had I not played the game before in its various iterations, I’d really be lost. Players simple have to go to a host list and choose a server. Immediately throwing you into the game with a random survivor avatar and the survival begins. I was immediately thrust into a night time situation. I could barely make out the screen on my TV. I went to go to the options to turn the brightness up, and unfortunately, it didn’t exist. So in an almost pure, pitch black screen, I stumbled around with the controls. This is another point of major frustration. After a few minutes, I was able to pull out a flare and actually see where I was going.

So after a few moments, out in the distance there was another person with a flare. I cautiously approached this person as in DayZ anyone can be a friend or enemy, and usually it’s the latter. We sort of stared at each other, both of us clearly didn’t have any gear. Then a fisticuffs battle began which lead way to a chase. This also showcased just how poor the framerate and server stuttering could be, and after about a 30-minute chase and attempting to hit the person, we fought to the death. Trying to melee anything just felt broken. Luckily melee isn’t the focus of the game, and guns are fair much better in combat. Though if fist of close combat weapons is all a person has, it’s extremely poor.

Confused and Hungry

Other than combat, DayZ breaks down into a very simple flow of scrounging for supplies, building a character up, and then just engaging with either human players or the AI zombies. The zombies are dangerous but also extremely brain dead and I wish that was a pun. The intensity and fun truly shines with dealing with other actually players and that’s where the most excitement and fun truly comes in with DayZ.

One thing to be very aware of though is any time a player dies, everything is lost. A character used for hours on end, with some amazing gear obtained, it’s all gone. This is a huge blow and anyone playing for the first time should know this because for some it will be a deal breaker. For other’s it’s that thrill of survival, truly losing everything in the process. That element is retained completely and it’s one of the most interesting gameplay elements DayZ has ever introduced — love it or hate it.

Lower Expectations

DayZ on PS4 isn’t the worst port I’ve seen on consoles, but it’s also not the best. It runs alright during normal exploration, usually. There were times the framerate would stutter simple walking around a shed. I don’t know if this is actual system performance or server latency, but either way it has to improve with future updates to make this version of the game feel worth playing. The game has been criticized in the past because of the prevalence of server hopping – i.e. racking up gear and XP by respawning and looting the same places over and over again, (which is not the same thing as using a VPN to switch to a different country’s server).

DayZ is a game that truly inspired a new genre style. One that has just seemingly seemed to grow and grow over the years. It was a hardcore online experience for shooter fans, with excitement and sometimes pure terror in knowing players could lose everything with one death, having to start over. That spirit remains, but so many years later, there are just better games out there to get those similar feelings, and the creator has truly been surpassed in many ways. If someone has never played DayZ before and would like to check out the experience with no other way to play it, it could be worth checking out. PC would be the preferred way to play with its better optimization, and keyboard and mouse controls. With as long as the game has been in development, it wouldn’t be misplaced to assume this title should be the survival game to experience. Instead DayZ is a survival game that just blends in with the rest of the games in the genre. Instead of leading the pack it’s just sort of following suit.

Overall score: 3.0

Pros:

  • Survival gameplay

Cons:

  • Performance
  • Cumbersome controls
  • Confusing interface
  • Bugs/Glitches

EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Overview

If you’re like the average computer user (and let’s face it, you probably are), you don’t back up your data. And like with every other precautionary measure, most of us only realize the importance of backing up our important data once we’ve lost it, learning our lesson the hard way. Tragic, isn’t it?

Still, that doesn’t alter the fact that the data that was lost was quite important and you would prefer to have it returned to you. In that case, your best bet would be a data recovery software, and there isn’t a better option than EaseUS data recovery software.

Simple problems the software can solve

Accidental deletions happen all the time, whether you carelessly press SHIFT + DELETE, empty the Recycle Bin without checking for any important files, or accidentally formatting a hard drive/removable media (USB, SD cards, etc.). However, recovering data with EaseUS data recovery is just a snap. As long as the media wasn’t overwritten with new data, the old data can still be easily recovered, even if you ran into some formatting issues along the way, like lost partitions or drives.

Still, recover formatted hard drive is only a simple problem that any other data recovery software can solve. What makes EaseUS so special?

Tougher problems the software can handle

While accidentally deleted data is easy to recover, it becomes harder to access that data if it was maliciously corrupted, which is often the case in a virus attack. You might also have the unfortunate experience of being unable to access your data because of a corrupted hard drive, something which can happen due to a hard-to-reverse hardware malfunction.

Another factor that can complicate matters is if your operating system crashes, requiring you to reinstall it from the ground up and lose a lot of precious data in the process. Most data recovery tools aren’t able to retrieve data in these circumstances, but EaseUS data recovery software guarantees results even in these adverse conditions.

A performance analysis

If it’s the speed you’re looking for; you won’t find a software faster than this one on the market. EaseUS data recovery’s Quick Scan mode only needs around 5 minutes to quickly scan through the hard drive and find all instances of data that was lost from it, and only a few additional minutes to restore it to the storage device of your choice.

However, if the Quick Scan doesn’t bring up your desired file, then the slower but more thorough Deep Scan will surely get the job done. Even with the Deep Scan being a little slower than the Quick Scan, the software is still faster and more thorough in its job than all its competitors on the market.

Conclusion

Now, the EaseUS data recovery tool isn’t free, but then again, most competent products aren’t. You CAN, however, get a free trial and recover up to 2 GB of data free of cost if you want to try the software out. Try and see for yourself. We guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Battlefield 5 Feedback Survey Asks Players How Much They Like the Game’s Pace & More

DICE has once again rolled out a Battlefield 5 feedback survey for the game’s community, and same as before, it asks if you’d refer the shooter to a friend, and lots more. If you want to be heard by DICE, this is the perfect opportunity. DICE also asks what the current player base thinks of the game’s pace (too fast or too slow, etc.) and lots more.

Battlefield 5 feedback survey link (SurveyMonkey)

This Battlefield 5 survey shouldn’t take longer than 3-5 minutes to complete, and is a bit shorter than the other surveys we’ve gotten from DICE.

In other Battlefield 5 news, go check out the new roadmap for the game. We also posted videos for the upcoming maps like Al Sandan, Marita, and even the upcoming re-imagined Operation Metro officially called “Operation Underground.

Get Ready for War as Mario-Themed Battle Royale Release Is Announced

With multiplayer, ‘battle royale’ games proving to be some of the most popular on the planet in the past couple of years, it’s perhaps no surprise that a decades-old franchise is making the leap into a first-person frag-fest.

Okay, so Mario Royale, as it has been cunningly titled, is not exactly an overload of explosions and gunfire that we might expect from Modern Warfare, The Division and so on. But it does promise a super-fun, retro take on the genre with levels and artwork taken from the original series.

The game has been developed by InfernoPlus, a YouTuber and indie producer who describe themselves as making ‘unfunny videos and bad games’ on their Patreon account. Hopefully, that is merely tongue-in-cheek humility rather than an accurate representation of the truth. The concept behind Mario Royale is simple enough: up to 100 players get to battle it out on levels lovingly recaptured from the original NES game, with the ultimate aim of reaching the end of the level before anyone else.

The developers haven’t added any war-based features, so you won’t be sniping your fellow players or benefitting from ballistic missile power-ups, although there are some tactical elements: you can fire the classic Koopa shells at one another to slow progress, while demolishing blocks to prevent your opponents from getting a clear run through the side-scrolling landscape.

“It’s basically identical to the original game, but with an extra 98 morons running around and stealing your power ups”, is how InfernoPlus have described the game, in a refreshingly honest take on video game PR.

But in truth, the object here is simply to win the race to the finish line while enjoying an HTML5-designed walk down memory lane. At the time of writing, Mario Royale is free to play and available via most browsers, while InfernoPlus have confirmed that the title is controller compatible.

FPS Still the Most Popular Video Game Theme

While ostensibly just a bit of fun, Mario Royale does tap into the wider theme of multiplayer gaming and the battle royale genre which has grown in popularity courtesy of titles such as Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. But for the most part, first-person shooters remain the most popular theme for video games – as confirmed by a new poll taken from a group of Canadian gamers.

The survey found that nearly one-in-four gamers all count war-based games as their favorite sub-genre, just behind ‘fantasy’ in the pecking order. Meanwhile, action and strategy combine to account for more than 38% of gaming time, according to the poll, with the battle royale theme scoring a surprisingly low 9%.

When asked which settings they most enjoyed their games to feature, the respondents confirmed why titles such as Call of Duty and the upcoming Battlefield remain so popular, with 10.8% saying war, 11.2% responding with post-apocalyptic, 19.1% opting for ‘modern’ and 22.2% for historical.

In an age when single player campaign modes seem to be getting neglected by producers of FPS titles, it’s reassuring that conflict-based gaming remains popular among those who have perhaps turned to multiplayer and battle royale inspired titles for their kicks. Mario revolutionized gaming when it came out as it became the prototype for a lot of other games with its side-scrolling platform style, and it’s good to see that it remains popular in all of its iterations, including one that has been tweaked slightly to appeal to a modern audience.

Apex Legends Dragons Are Now a Thing and They Carry Loot Crates

With Season 2 beginning in just a few short weeks, Respawn Entertainment have detailed their upcoming Season 2 Weapon Update, which is set to introduce the L-Star LMG. And while the weapons are an exciting thing that many fans have been looking forward to, it’s another, unannounced surprise in-game happening that’s making players talk, and’s about Apex Legends dragons! Yes, dragons!

Over on the Apex Legends subreddit, multiple threads have been popping up with players posting how they’ve seen dragons, or by their actual names “Flyers.” In the video below, which provides proof this this is indeed real you can see the play actually shoot at the Flyer, which by the way is carrying a loot crate or “deathcrate” of a fallen friend on your friends list.

This is a nice surprise indeed, and a pretty cool one at that.  You can also check out the official announcement from Respawn regarding the L-Star and the new hop-ups introduced in the game below.

New Weapon: The L-STAR Arrives

This season we’re introducing the L-STAR, a rare and powerful LMG. This weapon fires large, high-damage plasma projectiles at a fast cyclic rate. The L-STAR is joining the Mastiff and Kraber in airdrop packages, and quite frankly, it’s a beast.

The L-STAR’s unique projectiles are much larger than those fired by other weapons in Apex. Players need to lead targets more at range to compensate for the L-STAR’s slower projectiles, but on the flip side, they don’t have to aim quite as precisely to get good effect on target.

All this plasma-fueled power comes at a price: the L-STAR will overheat if players hold the trigger down too long. When the L-STAR overheats, its lens breaks and needs to be replaced, which takes some time. Expert players learn to feather the trigger with short/medium bursts, taking short breaks to let the weapon cool down.

The L-STAR only spawns in airdrops (like the Mastiff and the Kraber), and comes with a limited ammo supply that can’t be refilled.

Get out there, hunt some airdrops, and let us know what you think of our newest high-tech addition to the Armory.

New Hop-Ups!

This season, we wanted to bring up the low end of the power curve a little, increase situational viability for lesser-used weapons, and create more interplay between weapons. So, we created a couple of new hop-ups:

Disruptor Rounds

– Increased shielded damage.

– compatibility: Alternator, RE-45

Hammerpoint Rounds

– Increased unshielded damage.

– compatibility: P2020, Mozambique

Ideally players will consider one of these hopped-up small arms for weapon-swap tactics, and sometimes carry them unironically into endgame situations.

New Attachments: Energy Mags

Energy Mag attachments have been added for the Havoc, Devotion, and Triple Take, adding more loot gameplay and power curve depth. Like the other magazine attachments, Energy Mags increase ammo capacity (at all levels) and reduce reload time (at level 2 and above).

Power Up

We buffed some less-popular weapons to make them more powerful within their designed roles. Look out for buffs to the Kraber, Flatline, P2020, Alternator, and Triple Take, with specific details outlined in our S2 patch notes.

Arc Star: Spikes & Sticks

Since launch, the Arc Star has seemed “spikey” to us. (To us, this means that the gameplay and personality are good, but it can sometimes feel unfair to use or fight against.) We did a few targeted tweaks:

– Increased ignition delay from 2.5 to 2.8

– Sticking a full health player will now down them [if they don’t have armor].

– Players at the edge of the explosion no longer get their shields completely shredded

Gold Weapons

Players can look forward to finding a totally new set of gold weapons in Kings Canyon for the start of season 2. Look out for the final list in the Season 2 patch notes.

Ammo Stack Sizes

Apex players need to strike a fine balance between loading their backpacks with ammo, and holding other items for emergency or utility purposes. In a couple cases, we felt the stack sizes weren’t well-balanced, so we tweaked:

– Shotgun max stack reduced from 64 to 16. Players now need multiple stacks of ammo to run a shotty.

– Energy max stack increased from 60 to 80 – now matches Light/ Heavy ammo.

Airdrop Weapons

Airdrop packages now use different loot tables for different phases of the game (early/ mid/ late). For example, players will find more Krabers in early and mid-game airdrops, while endgame airdrops should spawn more Mastiffs.

And, of course, these loot tables now include the L-STAR plasma LMG!

In other Apex Legends news, Respawn has outlined some of the known issues that will be fixed soon.

HERO UPDATES

Baptiste

Biotic Launcher

  • Increased heal ammo from 10 to 12.

Amplification Matrix

  • Ultimate duration increased from 8 seconds to 10 seconds.

Developer Comments: Given the dual nature of Baptiste’s weapon, he ends up having to reload often. We’re increasing the amount of ammo he has to work with so he can get more firing time while healing. Similarly, increasing the duration of Amplification Matrix will allow allies more time to get into position to make use of it.

D.Va

Defense Matrix

  • Reduced length of Defense Matrix from 15 meters to 10 meters.

Developer Comments: Defense Matrix is a very powerful defensive ability and can often feel oppressive from far away. Reducing the range on it will require D.Va to position herself more carefully to take advantage of its effects.

McCree

Peacekeeper

  • Primary fire recovery reduced from 0.5 seconds to 0.42 seconds.

Developer Comments: On average, McCree’s damage output wasn’t quite making up for the relatively low mobility or utility in his kit. Reducing his weapon’s recovery time improves the potential damage output without affecting the number of successful shots to kill an enemy.

Orisa

Protective Barrier

  • Barrier can be deployed without interrupting reload.

Developer Comments: Orisa has one of the longest weapon reloads and interrupting it to deploy a new barrier felt too disruptive to her gameplay. This change allows her to reload as needed while still being able to protect herself and her team.

Symmetra

Teleporter

  • Teleporter interact range increased from 1 meter to 1.5 meters.

Developer Comments: This is primarily a quality of life improvement as it was possible to create a teleporter that Symmetra was unable to interact with unless she moved toward it.

Torbjörn

Rivet Gun

  • Secondary Fire damage per pellet reduced from 12.5 to 10.5 (105 dmg total per shot).

Developer Comments: The combined damage output of Torbjörn’s secondary fire with his Overload ability was too high given his recently increased survivability.

GAME MODE UPDATES

Assault

  • Time awarded for capturing Point A on all Assault maps has been reduced from 4 minutes to 3 minutes.
  • Upon losing Point A, any defenders that are dead, or that die shortly thereafter, will have a maximum respawn of 3.5 seconds.

Developer Comments: Assault match lengths are averaging higher than we’re happy with, particularly in Competitive where there are multiple rounds. We’re also concerned with how often Offense fully captures Point A and Point B. Reducing the round time from 8 to 7 minutes should address both these concerns, as less overall time rewards better Defense.

Additionally, sometimes Defenders fight late with good intentions at Point A and end up staggered from their team when A falls, leaving their team with uneven footing to defend a rush to B. In these situations, temporarily lowering the respawn time to get those Defenders back with their team should be a better match experience and doesn’t punish players so harshly for wanting to defend Point A.

WORKSHOP UPDATES

General

  • Visual update applied
  • Check boxes added to support operations on multiple conditions/actions/rules.
  • You can now disable conditions/actions/rules without deleting them.
  • (PC) When copying conditions/actions/rules, the contents will also be copied to your clipboard in a text format.
  • (PC) When pasting conditions/actions/rules, the editor will use the text from your clipboard.
  • Increased maximum number of effects from 64 -> 128.
  • Added ‘Modify Global Variable At Index’.
  • Added ‘Modify Player Variable At Index’.

BUG FIXES

General

  • Communication Wheel: “Acknowledge” pings triggered through the Communication Wheel can now target objectives.
  • Fixed a bug where explosions could play in the wrong position if a mispredicted impact happened on the client.
  • Fixed an issue where some UI effects weren’t being properly colored when color blind settings are set on console.
  • Tutorial: Weapon UI is now hidden until your weapon is available.
  • Havana PvP – Fixed a bug that could cause the payload to get stuck leaving the Distillery checkpoint.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause the Play of the Game animation to be cut off before it ends.
  • Fixed a bug that could limit the number of effects displayed on screen at the same time.

Workshop

  • Custom Game: Fixed a bug where AI Soldier: 76 wouldn’t fire his Helix Rocket at the same target twice.
  • Custom Game: Fixed an issue where ‘Nearest Walkable Position’ would use a location in a spawn room instead of the specified location when the spawn room doors were closed.
  • Custom Game: Fixed a bug that could cause AI Soldier: 76 to be unable to use Biotic Field.
  • Custom Game: Fixed a bug where disabling primary fire doesn’t disable it for transform effects like Hanzo’s Storm Arrows, Genji’s Dragonblade, Soldier: 76’s Tactical Visor, Torbjörn’s Molten Core, Bastion’s Configuration: Tank, and Winston’s Primal Rage.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented Sombra and D.Va from using their Ultimate abilities when using the ‘Set Ultimate Charge’ action to grant 100% Ultimate charge.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented players from focusing on the Rule checkbox when using a controller.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the “Stop holding button” from clearing the action when using a wait before the action.
  • Fixed a bug that caused players to always be returned to the Custom Game Browser when backing out of any game, if the player had been to the Custom Game Browser previously.
  • Fixed a bug that forced Console Players to press the button twice when attempting to enter a numerical value when using a controller.  Console Players are now able to bring up the virtual keyboard for manual numerical entry via one button press when using controller.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause variable values displayed in the Inspector to fail to update after making changes and restarting the match.

Heroes

Ana

  • Anti-Heal will be cleared when Sombra uses her translocator to teleport.

Baptiste

  • Fixed a bug that caused Ana’s shot sound effects to be played on Baptiste when his Immortality Field is hit by her Primary Fire.

Brigitte

  • Enemy barriers now block line-of-sight for Brigitte’s Rally.
  • Fixed a bug where armor damage mitigation was too effective when multiple instances of armor were stacked on top of each other.

Doomfist

  • Fixed a bug that allowed Doomfist to access out-of-bounds areas of the the Havana map during his ultimate.
  • Fixed an issue where Doomfist’s Rocket Punch would sometimes impact stairs.
  • Fixed issue where Doomfist’s Seismic Slam was not showing its electricity effect on affected entities.
  • Fixed a bug that could result in Seismic Slam not hitting targets when it should.

Genji

  • Fixed a bug that prevented Genji’s damage boost from being applied to deflected projectiles.

Hanzo

  • Fixed a bug that caused Hanzo’s targeting reticle to appear on kill cam for players killed by his Dragonstrike Ultimate.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Hanzo’s hands to clip into his legs during the Meditate emote on several skins (Cyberninja, Lone Wolf, Scion, Young Master).

Lucio

  • Fixed a bug that prevented portions of Lucio’s 2019 Pacific All-Stars skin from being visible in highlight and in-game portraits.

Orisa

  • Fixed a bug that caused Supercharger to self-destruct when placed in certain locations.

Roadhog

  • Fixed a bug that allowed Roadhog’s hook to function when he was hacked by Sombra.

Sombra

  • Translocator will now escape slippery surfaces more easily and not be able to be stuck to them.
  • Fixed an issue where a material effect on Sombra’s hair would cause it to cast a shadow while invisible.

Symmetra

  • Resolved an issue where Enemy and Friendly UI color options were incorrectly being applied to Symmetra’s Photon Barrier.

Torbjörn

  • Fixed a bug that prevented some of Torbjörn’s visual effects from being applied when he used Overload with certain skins equipped.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Torbjörn’s turret to sometimes destroy itself.

Dead by Daylight Update 1.63 Patch Notes, Ghost Face Spotlight Video Released

The much anticipated release of Ghost Face has finally arrived in the latest game update for Dead By Daylight. Along with a new killer, Behaviour Interactive introduces a number of changes in Dead By Daylight update 1.63 (3.0.0 on PC) which include bug fixes and gameplay improvements.

Down below you can read up on the full Dead By Daylight 1.63 patch notes, which comes from the official Dead By Daylight forums. The patch is currently available on all available platforms and weights a little over 2GB on the PlayStation 4. Additionally, a new video highlighting Ghost face abilities has also been released, which you can watch before reading up on the patch notes.

Dead by Daylight update 1.63 patch notes:

FEATURES & CONTENT

  • Feature – Added the ability to rotate characters in the lobby.
  • Feature – Added new menu and lobby music.
  • Content – Added a new Killer (The Ghost Face).

BALANCE

Gameplay:

  • All Killer swing animations have been modified to match the distance at which they can hit a survivor. This was done to help mitigate situations where a Killer would hit a survivor but their weapon/ hand would not look like it was reaching the Survivor.
  • In addition to Killer swing animations matchin
  • g their hit distance we have also added swing VFX to mitigate when hits looked like they should have missed targets when in fact they found a target and hit. (There will be more work done to make hits look better when they connect)
  • Added stun VFX for Killers when hit by pallets.
  • Survivors will now turn their heads where their camera is looking. This happens when a Survivor interacts with an object in the environment and when they are not downed or incapacitated.
  • Adjusted fast vault conditions: Players can no longer trigger fast vaults when beside windows or in contact with the wall.

Art adjustments:

  • Adjusted certain darker cosmetics that gave players an advantage to be lighter.
  • Re-worked some characters hair.
  • Adjusted Killer Instinct VFX to remove red fill effect, increase frequency of pulse, add an offset to where symbol is displayed, modified the scaling of the symbol to stay more consistent. These changes also affect the Killer power, Feral Frenzy, of The Legion.

Audio adjustments:

  • Adjusted the chase volume for Survivors.

Map changes:

  • Removed the RNG factor from the window setups in the rooms of Lery’s Memorial Institute; each small room now spawns with the same window configuration.
  • Edge Object repopulation pass in The MacMillan Estate maps, there are more obstacles in between the map tiles now.
  • Introduced new maze tiles for the Yamaoka Estate theme.

Survivor Emblem changes:

Added events for Lightbringer emblem scoring:

  • 20 points for cleansing a dull totem.
  • 5 points if a dull totem is cleansed while you are in a chase.
  • 10 points if a Hex totem is cleansed while you are in a chase.
  • 1/3 point for each 1% of a generator repaired while you are in a chase (Capped to a maximum of 33.3 scored for each generator).

Added event for Benevolent emblem scoring:

  • 10 points for sabotaging a hook within 10 meters of a Killer carrying a Survivor, if the carried Survivor then wiggles free.

Added event for Evader emblem scoring:

  • 50 points for stunning the Killer with a pallet.

Survivor perk changes:

  • Streetwise: Increased efficiency values to 15%/20%/25% up from 10%/12%/15%.
  • Windows of Opportunity: Reduced cooldown values to 30/25/20 seconds down from 60/50/40.
  • Mettle of Man: We have changed the condition for getting tokens. It is no longer for being hit by a Killer’s basic attack. Instead earn tokens by taking “Protection Hits”. It still requires 3 tokens to activate. Survivors will still need to be injured in order to trigger the Endurance effect and avoid being put into the dying state. This means that Mettle of Man will require more work from the Survivor to trigger Mettle of Man’s Endurance status effect.
  • Unbreakable: Increased recovery speed to 25%/30%/35% up from 15%/20%/25%.

Killer perk changes:

  • Pop Goes The Weasel: Changed Regression values from 15%/20%/25% to a flat 25% across all tiers. Changed window of activation from 30 seconds to 40/50/60 seconds.
  • Territorial Imperative: Reduced cooldown to 30/25/20 seconds down from 60/45/30.
  • Enduring: Updated Enduring to a flat reduction in pallet stun duration of 40/45/50% rather than an increase to stun recovery speed of 55/65/75%. Enduring will now only affect pallet stuns.

Anthem Update 1.2.1 Patch Notes Now Out, Here’s the List of Fixes Available

Anthem players, rejoice! While BioWare might not have shown anything at all at E3 this past week, the studio has rolled out the Anthem update 1.2.1 patch notes, and file today. That said, don’t expect much in terms of new content, but there are a few fixes included.

Anthem update 1.2.1 patch notes:

Cosmetic Fixes – Fixed a number of bugs that prevented select cosmetic items from being presented correctly in Prospero’s store and/or the Forge.

UI Fixes

●       Fixed an issue where the mouse cursor would disappear on specific instances when going into the Forge (while using keyboard & mouse controls).

●       Various other minor UI bug fixes.

Combat Fixes  Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause characters and enemies to appear frozen after the frozen effect had worn off.

Matchmaking – We’ve made some additional improvements to our matchmaking experience by enabling longer timers for players to match into a squad, while also fixing a bug from a previous update that forced some players to matchmake for longer than intended. The new max limit for matchmaking should take no longer than 90 seconds.

In other Anthem news, the community got upset at the studio during E3, since BioWare asked only the influencers for feedback and not the gamers present at the show. Read up on the full story here.

    • You will still be able to equip them in lower quality items.
    • All other mods can be equipped in slots matching their type (Offense, Defense, Utility).

Developer comment: Generic mods could be stacked in unhealthy ways and the gear mod eco system has not been in a place we are happy with and it had led to some unwanted behavior such as low-level farming for generic mods.

Projects

  • Specific talents requirements for project donations has been removed.
  • Replica/crafted items requirement for project donations has been removed.

  • There’s now a timer that shows the cooldown before being able to kick a player from a group.

Skills

  • Further improved the Reviver Hive which should result in it more reliably reviving downed agents.

    • After killing its current target, the Assault Drone will now attack the enemy the player is currently shooting. If no target is being shot, it will attack the closest enemy to its owner instead.

Exotics

  • New Exotic Holster: Dodgy City Gunslinger’s Holster

Talents

  • Rooted
    • The talent description now states the intended cooldown of 60 seconds.

Commendations

  • Further improved Discovery Merits to allow loot boxes opened by other players count towards every group member’s progress.

Dark Zone

  • Players can now go Rogue in the Occupied Dark Zone. Dealing damage to other Agents (outside of your group) will cause the player to disavow The Division.
  • There is no grey Rogue in the ODZ. Damaging other Agents is the only way to go Rogue in the ODZ.
  • Additional Manhunt ranks have been added to the ODZ. Players still have to clear their bounties at SHD terminals, but additional rewards are available to players who clear (or claim) a high rank bounty.
  • Manhunt ranks are now infinite in the ODZ. Killing other Agents increases the player’s Manhunt rank, along with their Dark Zone XP rewards on a successful bounty clear. Compete on a new leaderboard for the highest ODZ Manhunt rank!

The Division 2 Maintenance Happening Now to Prep for Title Update #4

In case you’re trying to log on to The Division 2 but can’t, it’s due to Ubisoft shutting down the servers for its usual round of The Division 2 maintenance. For today’s server downtime, there’s a very big reason for that as title update #4 will be rolled out during that time as well.

Here’s the full schedule for today’s The Division 2 maintenance schedule:

  • When: Tuesday, June 18, 2019
  • Start time:  9:30 a.m. CEST/3:30 a.m. ET/12:30 a.m. PT
  • Duration: Approximately three hours

Once the actual The Division 2 update is out, we’ll be sure to let our readers know. In the meantime, here’s a rundown of some of the stuff Ubisoft Massive is rolling out today based on our post Ubisoft Massive’s latest State of the Game:

PTS / Update 4

Signature Weapon Balancing

It was reported by the community, that the Signature Weapons do less damage on PTS. That is not intended. The goal is to buff the Signature Weapons to make them viable in the game.

Gear Mod Change

  • Generic Gear Mods could be stacked so that one or two stats are too strong. That has been addressed so that you can’t equip Generic Gear Mods on high-end gear anymore. They are intended for the campaign and not for the endgame.
  • There were six Gear Mod Types before and that has been reduced to 3: Damage, Utility, Defensive. There are no longer System and Protocol requirements on the mod-slots. Now you just fit damage mod to damage mod-slots. That makes it easier to equip the mods.
  • That means you can use the Generic Gear Mods in the campaign and replace them at a fast frequency. Once you hit endgame it is easier to equip the mods that you get, because there are fewer requirements.

Visual Update for Named Items

  • They wanted to add more lore to the game at launch and that is why they added the named weapons.
  • The named weapons have a designated name and lore to them, but they follow the same stat-rules of normal weapons.
  • To make them more special – they got a visual upgrade so that they are more interesting.

New Exotic Holster

  • The first exotic gear item will be added to the game with Update 4: “Dodge City Gunslinger’s Exotic Holster”
  • You have to buy a blueprint from the vendor and collect the crafting materials in a small quest.

Improvement to Weekly Invasion Rewards

  • If you are at GS 500, you get GS 500 items from them as rewards.
  • Same applies to Hard and Challenging Named Enemies

Aux Battery Mods

The icon of the mod will now match the Skill

Blueprints Shared across characters

Not scheduled for Update 4 – but it is on their radar.

Again, this is not the complete patch notes. Once we have ’em, we’ll let our readers know.

Cyberpunk 2077: What to Expect From This Long Anticipated Game?

This might be the most anticipated game for a while. Cyberpunk 2077 was announced years ago back in 2012, and the last seven years CD Project Red was developing the game and it is considered to be even bigger than The Witcher 3.

The gameplay was revealed at E3 2019 and it might be some of the best RPG games of all time. Basically, the game is an adult story about violence, drugs, and social politics. The game will certainly cause a lot of attention after the release. However, let’s look at some of the details that we have about this game.

Release date

After a long wait, the game will be released on April 16, 2020. One of the pleasant surprises we got is that Keanu Reeves appears in the game as Johnny Silverhand and he also appeared at the end of the new Cyberpunk 2077 trailer at E3. His character will play a major role in this game.

Story

As you guessed it, the action happens in 2077 in a metropolis called Night City. You can choose to play a fully voiced young man or women. The city will be dark, filthy, with a lot of drugs and gang members, they describe it as the “worst place in America” (so… Detroit?).

New sort of drug circles around the city and poor people are addicted to it. It is called braindance and it makes people feel like they are another person such as rich, successful or popular. The drug is sold on the black market where you can find serial killers and all sorts of dangerous things. Basically, the game will be dark as hell.

Gameplay

CD Projekt Red is still keeping Cyberpunk 2077 at closed doors and did not reveal many details about the gameplay. However, they showcased the same demo from Gamescom.

The quest director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz said that the demo is only a small fragment of the game we will play and that we can expect much more. In the demo, we can see some side missions that can be played in either a peaceful or violent way or somewhere in the middle. We also got a proper introduction to Night City both on foot and with a car also the visual representation of how weapons and character upgrades work.

Basically the action happens in the future and you will have access to melee or high-tech guns equipped with scanners and similarly to Watch Dogs you will do a lot of hacking. Also in Cyberpunk 2077, we can see that we have two types of XP: core XP and “Street Cred”. The first one is gained through completing missions as for the Street Cred you can gain it by completing side missions.

As the Night City is pretty big, you will have to move across it. The game will provide all sorts of vehicles that you can use, unfortunately, you will not be able to control any of the driving or flying, you will only be transferred to the desired location.

CD Projekt Red also announced that there will be no loading screens throughout the gameplay in exploring the city. There will be a lot of violence with all the gang members and the dangerous people throughout Night City, however, you will determine the style of play. You can either play it safe or get into the dirty work.

There are classes to choose from in the game such as Netrunner, Techie, and Solo. You have to select one that will let you focus on one or mix abilities from all three classes. You will have different abilities from different classes – surprisingly, just like the Career Modes of sports games, like NBA2K, FIFA or Madden NFL 2020.

Cyberpunk 2077 world called the Night City will be massive. They have not announced the actual size. However, they said that this game will be much bigger than they ever created before.

This game will be single player only. Although CD Projekt Red announced back in 2013 that this game will have multiplayer features, they simply won’t be available on the release date. They are collaborating with Canadian Studio called Digital Scapes, in order to enable some multiplayer features after the release.

After all those years, Cyberpunk 2077 will definitely be one of the best RPG games. We will have to wait and see if they successfully developed the game and if it going to be interesting as it sounds.
